Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this audiobook.

This was a great read! I wasn’t sure if I liked the narrator through most of the story, but she ended up bringing just enough umph to pull it off. My main complaint was that she sounded like she was gritting her teeth through most of the book.

That being said, I truly enjoyed this story. As the mother of a young child, it scared me to think about what happened to poor baby Fern, and it absolutely broke my heart. The reveal in the epilogue just added to that fear.

This is a great read for a cozy afternoon in front of the fireplace.

A superbly darkly and twisty psychological thriller from Sheryl Browne!

Ellie is a 21 year old who has led a tough life, born to alcoholic parents, and with tragedy eluded to in her history, she finds herself the new start in a shop owned by the suave, sophisticated and deeply attractive Jake. When she meets Jake, Ellie lets slip that she previously worked in a nursery, this coincidences with a babysitting emergency for Jake who asks Ellie to step in and look after the children he shares with wife, Megan. On meeting Megan, Ellie is struck by Megan's rudeness, and is flabbergasted as to why Jake stays in, what is clearly, a toxic marriage. In a move that shocks Ellie, Megan asks Ellie to become her nanny, and lured by the enticing prospect of spending more time with Jake, Ellie accepts. From there on in all sorts of toxic craziness ensue - do all members of the household make it out alive? Well worth reading to find out!

The novel l is told, almost in its entirely by Ellie, but then we are given the perspectives of both Megan and Jake, which show that all is absolutely not as it seems!

This is a superb story, only added to by the utterly superb narration of Tamsin Kennard.

I enjoyed reading this book because it was engaging, well-written, and informative. The author did a great job of creating realistic and relatable characters, setting the scene, and building suspense. The book also explored some interesting themes, such as identity, family, and justice. The plot was fast-paced and full of twists and turns, keeping me hooked until the end.

I had a hard time getting into this and didn't really care for any of the characters. I think Ellie was supposed to be betrayed as young and innocent but to me she came off as whiny and needy. The first half of the book is told from Ellie's point of view. It was interesting for a while but then it just felt like it was dragging. The next half of the book is retold from Jack and Megan's alternating view points, and while I usually enjoy this type of idea, this just felt very repetitive and uninteresting. I found myself gazing off and wanting to quit but I wanted to know what happened even though I had a pretty good guess with a lot of what was going on and to me it was very predictable. Unfortunately did not care for this, although the narrator did do a wonderful job.

Ellie was broke, when an opportunity to get an extra income came to her in the form of becoming baby Fern’s nanny. Fern’s father, Jake, was Ellie’s attractive boss from her workplace. However, his wife Megan didn’t seem to welcome her into the house, blaming her for things she didn’t do. When a tragedy happened, Ellie became a suspect and her past was in danger of being revealed.

The story wasn’t what I’d expected. I think the synopsis that was provided by the book didn’t really reflect the characters properly.

First of all, I struggled to get into the story because Ellie was such an unlikeable character. Aside from lusting over a married man, she was very judgey towards another woman, and she immediately rummaged through other people’s belongings the first chance she got, then felt chastised when she was found out.

One thing that worked well for me was the scene details. The author did a great job creating suspense in the scenes and dialogues between the characters.

Unfortunately the rehashing of the entire events from a second PoV midway through the book felt unnecessary to me. I understood why it was done, but I wasn’t interested in re-living all the scenes all over again.

All in all, a decent thriller.

This domestic thriller employs a popular approach to storytelling by using multiple unreliable narrators to recount the same story from their own perspectives. The plot is rife with secrets, gaslighting, murder, mistreated children, and unlikable characters.

The storyline of the book had a promising premise, thrilling moments, and unexpected twists that kept me engaged. However, the narrative structure of the story left me feeling unenthusiastic. While multiple perspectives can provide unique insights into the same event, the repetition of scenes from different viewpoints diminishes the impact of the story. As a reader, I want to empathize with the characters, but only the children in the story garnered any emotional response from me. It was disappointing to see them in the background, given that the nanny's role is to care for them. The book did provide a sense of closure, but there were still some unanswered questions and ambiguities, leaving the reader to interpret the ending on their own.

The story was entertaining, but it seemed to repeat itself at times. However, the author was successful in creating characters that were not necessarily likable, yet still intriguing enough to keep reading. The different points of view provided a lot of psychological insight into the characters' minds, especially when they felt like they were losing their sanity. The story had plenty of twists and turns that kept the reader engaged and interested. If you enjoy domestic thrillers, it's definitely worth a read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Lots of mixed feelings on this one. The main characters were mostly awful and I disliked them. Eventually Megan became likable but I still wasn’t a fan.
Narrator did a good job. But this was just a weird book all around and confusing.

About midway through this book, I thought: wow - all of these people are terrible people. The three main characters are just that - terrible people. So with that, I kept thinking - why keep going because I didn't care what would happen to them. They whined most of the time and pleaded so much to each other that there wasn't one redeemable thing about each character. I inched forward with the book reluctantly, fully annoyed, to see if maybe the twist would somehow make my time with this book worthwhile. Oy vey, it really didn't.

So then did the author succeed when I reacted this strongly, producing a book that had me squirming like this? Yes and no. She got me going, sure, invested, and then so annoyed that these people were very one-sided and just plain annoying AF. Then the twist was just meh that I wished something would blow my mind. Another domestic thriller that just shows how terrible people can be.

We All Keep Secrets by Sheryl Browne and Narrated by Tamsin Kennard was one of the best audiobooks I have listened to in a long time. I was completely gripped from the beginning till the end and I ended up listening to it whilst I was doing my weekly shopping! Multi tasking at its very best! lol
Sheryl has a brilliant way of writing, especially as you feel you're apart of all of her books she has written. This one has great and told by multiple POVs which was full of sinister twists and turns and sitting on the edge of your seat or shouting out aloud whilst shopping! lol
I felt like I was a fly on the wall whilst listing to this

I loved this audiobook and I did not want it to finish.........
I highly recommend this book and looking forward to read or listen her next book/s -

Another superb read. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one just wasn’t for me. I’m not sure if it was the story itself or the winey voice for Megan that the narrator used. I just wasn’t intrigued enough. I struggled to keep listening.
The narration of the audiobook is clear and well paced but I didn’t care for how the narrator voiced the various characters.
Thank You to NetGalley, Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to listen to this ARC.

I found there was some redundancy to this book as we shift viewpoints, which was a little repetitive, but great for the things I missed listening to the first viewpoint!
There was so much gaslighting, which seems to be the trendy thing in these domestic thrillers nowadays.
There are several twists along the way, but this book does seem to follow the domestic thriller formula.
The writing was good, the plot was interesting, and I did enjoy the book a lot, even if it was a bit formulaic and repetitive.
I listened to the audiobook and the narration was really spot on!
I'd recommend this as a quick read.

The back of book description gives too much away when it mentions baby Fern. It would be best to take that out. It’s a slow pace domestic psychological thriller. It kept me on my toes, until about half way through it got repetitive and a bit boring. It was main character POV majority of the book, then all of a sudden, POV from other characters happened which was a bit unnecessary and not fluid. It seemed like there was a deadline to be met with this book and then ending was anticlimactic and just rushed. However, the narrator was great!! I really enjoyed listening to this one because of the narration.

This is exactly the type of story I like after a long day. I usually like to put in my AirPods and listen to novels like this while I clean- daggy I know but it works for me!
The twists and turns are just predictable enough to keep you on your toes. I found myself stopped, standing still while I listened to particular scenes.
Well worth a listen!

-- thankyou netgalley for a arc copy of this book for a honest review . thankyou bookcouture for the oppurtunity ,

-- the story is basically focus on the couple who was more focus on there career rather than there kids . comes with three scenarios and should be kept reading and not skip every part as the story can get lost .
Anyway , the story was unique as it was story after story but the end was abit of a blur . Im not sure why the ending was bland and not even with a bang . It will keep you reading but the end was a flop .

I enjoyed this book and the narration. I did feel it dragged a bit in the middle and was slightly repetitive though.

I really wanted to like this one more … The story started off strong and the narration by Tamsin Kennard was really good.

I loved the premise of the missing child, and the first 1/4 had me hooked. Unfortunately I felt like the story dragged a little through the middle with what I felt was a little too much repetitiveness.

That said, the ending was wrapped up nicely and as a whole it was entertaining. I’ve seen a lot of great reviews for this one, so I would definitely recommend if you’re after a fast paces domestic thriller.

Many thanks to @bookouture @netgalley for an ALC.

This book was really difficult to get into. A broken marriage that looks perfect from the outside. A new nanny who maybe didn’t 100% meet qualifications but works with the husband. Very predictable and confusing at some points as it is retelling from all three perspectives. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
