I'm so glad I discovered TJ Klune and his books. Each one seems to take over a little part of my heart and stubbornly refuses to leave and Heartsong is no different.
This time the story focuses on Robbie and his journey of self discovery and learning about what pack actually is. I don't want to give too much away as it might be a bit spoilery, but I adored Robbie and my heart cracked along with his so many times during this book.
The book may start in a confusing way, but just trust the narrative and the story. You'll be so glad you did. Klune has a way of writing novels that focus on love and family but in a way that's real and not gushy. His characters are memorable and unique. I can't wait to get into the final chapter of this brilliant series. It's so refreshing to read about werewolves in this new way. I'm now going to find out if there's a way I can go and join the pack, cos I really want to live there!
Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publishers for providing an arc in return for an honest review.

An excellent follow up in an incredible series. This book is full of heart and still have you questioning reality if you've read the rest of the series. Klune strikes the heart yet again with powerful stories to which we can all relate. What an epic book.

I love TJ Klune's writing - He has such a skill in writing these beautifully heart warming stories which are both incredibly unique and absolutely grip you from start to finish.

This series has been so lovely to read. I love the characters and their relationships.

The found family theme in this book continues in such a strong way; you can really feel the love and loyalty this group have for each other even though it wasn't necessarily by choice.

The events of this book had me shook, There are twists and turns and things that happen that completely took me surprise and stunned me. But through it all there is so much love

My heart broke and then was mended all over again. I have loved this series and I am genuinely gutted that I am having to say goodbye to these characters all over again.

It is so hard to write a spoiler free review with this being the third back but needless to say, this work is a stunning read and everyone should read it.

Thanks Netgalley, TJ Klune and Tor Books for the opportunity to read and review

Pack pack pack pack…chant it with me now.

I’m so glad I found this series. It’s about werewolves, yes, and witches (which I totally love), but it’s also about the family you create, the bonds you build and how they can help heal wounds and make you feel safe. For me, it’s like a warm cuddle…albeit with danger lurking and no guarantee of survival 🐺

Heartsong is book 3 and it’s perfectly paced, there’s plenty of scary baddies (wow, some of the final scenes had hairs on my neck on end) and enough twists in the plot to keep me wondering and turning the pages until way past my bedtime (which admittedly is early because sleep is the best and I am old 😜).

Very much looking forward to the next instalment.

A huge thank you to @netgalley and @panmacmillan for this advance copy!

Heartsong is released in the UK on 01 February 💚🐺💚

I’m pack for life, and I need a bookish candle smelling of grass, lake water and sunshine pronto! Heartsong is the third book in TJ Klune’s Green Creek series and it delivers on everything that I love about this series. The series should be read in order: while each novel focuses on a different couple of one of the Bennet shifters and their mate, there is an overarching plot across the four books.

Robbie Fontaine and Kelly’s story follows on not too long after the end of Ravensong, and we also learn a lot about Robbie’s past prior to him meeting the Bennet pack. Heartsong is about finding truth and a place to belong, about hurt and healing, and about falling in love with the same person all over again. If you’re a fan of queer paranormal romance and haven’t yet picked up these books, don’t you think it’s high time you joined the pack, too?

I had read Cerulean Sea but didn’t realise at the time that this was the third in a series. Nevertheless I was drawn in by the powerful writing, engaged by the characters and immersed in the story with all its themes - family, friendship, love and conflict all beautifully and sesitively written. Now I need to read the previous books and look forward to the next. It is not my normal genre but so worth reading; I was captivated.

Thankyou to Netgalley and MacMillan UK for the ARC of Heartsong by TJ Klune.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

“packpackpack”

Each book in this series is through a different character viewpoint. Heartsong is through the eyes of Robbie - who we did not know much about, but throughout the book we discover who he is and his heartbreaking story of reclaiming his identity.

Each book in this series explores the themes of friendship and love and how to fully embrace one’s true self. As a reader, I experienced all the emotions with these characters and that is credited to Klune’s style of writing. Typical werewolf books portray them as monstrous, vicious creatures, but Klune creates his wolves with character and personality and the reader is drawn to their vulnerabilities. Tears were shed reading this book! Robbie and Kelly have my heart.

It feels so good to be back in Green Creek following the lives of the Bennett Pack. This is slowly becoming a favourite series of mine, the description and characters in this book allows the reader to become fully immersed in the world that TJ Klune has created, let’s just say emotions rang high with this one (just like every book in this series)
I cannot wait to read the next one!

From my point of view this book doesn’t have quite the emotional devastation the first and second book had, but it still packs a punch! So much more is revealed about the Bennetts and their history. So much more is lost. The fight at the end is epic indeed and has all the marks of a true boss fight and sets us up for the next book. Absolutely love this series and cannot wait to read Book 4!

This is becoming one of my favourite series. I can’t explain how totally immersed you feel in this world TJ Klune has created. The plot caught me by surprise not where I thought Kelly and Robbie’s story was heading but yet still made me emotional. Some of the best banter between characters I’ve ever enjoyed reading.

It was so good to immerse myself back into Green Creek and the lives of the Bennett Pack.

This time seen through the eyes of Robbie - who was previously part of the pack but with much unknown about and it was a joy to discover fully who he was and his heart breaking back story.

A little confusing to start as after reading the previous 2 books perceptions don't seem quite right, but it soon became clear and you realise what has transpired.

I adored the love story between Robbie and Kelly and their bond.

I'm 3 books deep woith this series now and each novel is an absolute delight in the way it portrays each character's different point of view. ALWAYS vividly portrayed, each with their quirks and vulnerabilities, and Robbie's story is both endearing and relatable.

I now read everything Klune writes - the writing writing is evocative, painting scenes that effortlessly transport readers into a world that despite it's fantasy elements feels real and has depth. I'm not normally one for werewolf stories, but this is my third in the series and I'll definitely be reading the last installment to come.

All thje books beautifully exploresthemes of friendship, love, and the transformative power of embracing your true self. It balances moments of laughter and joy with poignant and touching scenes, crafting a narrative that really captured my heart..

Great book that celebrates diversity, and acceptance.

I LOVE TJ's books and I really enjoy this particular series as it's all about the characters and the way that they grow, learn and love. This series is an interesting one, as each book follows a different key character, yet all the books have an ongoing storyline and so we are still revisiting many characters we've already grown to love from the first two books. I was happy to find that this book follows Robbie as a key character, as he's someone we don't have an awful lot of insight into from the previous books, and uncovering his past and present were tragic and beautiful.

The overarching narrative of this series really ramps up in this book, with the 'big bad' guy and his conspirators really offering no choice to our characters but to face them. The plot started off steady, but we quickly realise there's some things deeply wrong with memories and perceptions, and we gradually unlock these through Robbie's narrative.

The love and re-learning which takes place in this book is tragically beautiful because many memories which Robbie once had have been stolen. He doesn't know by who or why or anything like that, but we, as the reader, have some insight and getting to experience his confusion and loss as he uncovered the truth made this an emotional read. His love story with Kelly was at the forefront of his recovery, and I loved seeing their support for one another and the compassion they had in the face of evil.

Overall, I really liked both the characterisation and plot here, and I was happy to see all the returning characters stepping up into their roles in the pack. It felt a bit more developed and a little less angsty (although there still is some of that as otherwise it wouldn't be a TJ title) and this made me like it all the more. In the end I would give it a solid 4.5*s as it kept me up late reading, and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next (I think final) one.

Pack pack pack

Heartsong follows Robbie’s healing journey in which he needs to find the truth in order to move on.

Robbie has never belonged to a pack truly due to his past however finds a home with the Bennett pack who have dangerous and powerful enemies - ones he will end up calling his own.

If you want a book for February 2024 that you can devour - this one is for you.

Pack Pack Pack. All getting together to save Robbie. Seeing Kelly and Robbie’s relationship blossom only for it to be ripped it away.

Like always Tj Klune made me laugh and cry. Loved all of it.

Thank you to Pan MacMillian, Tor and T J Klune for the chance to ARC review Heartsong, the third book in the Green Creek series.

The writing of T J Klune never fails to deliver beautiful crafted stories, full of vibrant dynamic characters and make their world feel like a welcoming second home you are always happy to open the page to. Robbie is such a loveable character, who's journey to discover who he is and his place in the world is touching, coming of age story as he finds his feet and love with Kelly. I loved insights to how the rest of the pack are growing and their lives turning throughout the backdrop of this story. Another perfect addition to the series, proving T J Klune's name is a guarantee for quality of a good writing, wonderful characters and amazing story-telling.

Heartsong by TJ Klune is the third book in The Green Creek series, and I can truthfully say that this book nearly broke me. The tears running down my face resulting in my husband pulling the car over to check I was ok before wecould continue my journey.
Heartsong is very distinct from the previous two books – Wolfsong and Ravensong, in that it isn’t as steamy and believe it or not, is so much more emotional! Until now I had not really been in the Robbie camp, Robbie had always struck me as being rather selfish, self-involved and I wasn’t over the moon that book 3 – Heartsong was going to focus on his relationship with Kelly who has always seemed to be such a loving and caring character but, I was totally wrong and this book this book was an immense juggernaut of an assault on my emotions and I truly adore Robbie now!
Heartsong takes all the aspects of an already established couple, and totally blows that to bits in a heartbeat! From the start we meet Robbie, alone, not part of the Bennett pack, lost, struggling to understand what is happening and totally conflicted. To begin with, I was thrown a little, what was going on but, soon I was engrossed, hunting for a reason to keep listening to the book and find out what was happening and what would happen next.
The romance between Kelly and Robbie is truly slow burn, far less steamy (Kelly is asexual) but no less heartfelt, emotional and heart twanging. Their journey struggles and the pain made their love all the sweeter for me but, I truly cried at multiple points throughout their story and at points my heart was breaking!
Taking this step to completely change the rhythm of the series and develop a compelling plot and distinct journey for the characters was a truly brave step that whilst disconcerting at the start will soon pull you in to the point that you won’t be able to put this book down until the end. And I’m not going to mention that end, except to say that I need to read Brothersong now!

Heart song by TJ Klune
I give this book 4.5 stars .

Life as the trusted second to Michelle Hughes – the Alpha of all – and the cherished friend of a gentle old witch teaches Robbie what it means to be pack, to have a home.
But when a mission from Michelle sends Robbie into the field, he finds the truth has a way of coming out. And when it does, everything will shatter.

The beautifully crafted book 3 in the Green Creek series gave me the full gauntlet of emotions while reading.A story of Robbie finding himself and his place in the world and how he and Kelly connect and fall in love. The author manages to bring the characters to life in such a unique way that I feel like I’m reunited with lifelong friends and swept up within the descriptive storytelling. We also catch up with the rest of the “pack pack pack” which I absolutely love, it truly feels like they get stronger with every book.l finished the last page with a full heart and high expectations and a yearning to start Brothersong.
With thanks to Netgalley, TJ Klune and Pam MacMillan,Tor for my chance to read and review this fantastic series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Pan Macmillan for the advance reader copy.

This book has a slight change of tone from the previous in the series and it’s heartbreaking and beautiful.

We come back to the Bennett pack a little after Ravensong and a lot has changed.
To avoid spoilers, we still get our classic wood pack interactions and the continuing of the story that has been flowing through till book 4.

If you enjoyed the last two, you’ll most likely enjoy this one as well.

Oh my god. This series is so full of humour and heart, it’s absolutely impossible to stop myself from falling in love with it. This installment in the Green Creek series is as wholesome, funny, and emotional as I’ve come to expect from TJ Klune. From the first book in the series I stated that I’d become irreversibly attached to a pack of sexually fluid werewolves and absolutely nothing had changed in that regard.

The found family in this series keeps getting (impossibly) bigger and better. The trauma of the second book meant that the healing of Green Creek feels like an adjacent found family to the core werewolves, the result being that every single character in this book has space to grow and feels valued by the author and subsequently, the reader. I didn’t expect the found family feeling to encompass the entire town, but I’m delighted by it.

This book was nothing short of amazing. I genuinely found that I could not put this down, to the detriment of myself and my sleep. Although a lot of the plot feels like a set up for book 4, Brothersong, reading a Robbie’s journey back to himself and to Kelly, was like having a hammer come down repeatedly on my emotional repertoire. I was consistently swapping feeling fractured for feeling whole and back again. This psychological whiplash was the most exquisite bookish tortures I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
