I received this ARC free from the publisher via NetGalley.
I enjoyed this book overall, love a rich Scottish MMC and plus-size FMC, but I feel like there were a lot of things that either changed part-way through the book with no explanation or just forgotten about entirely. She had a panic attack when she saw her ex at the bridal store and was worried about seeing him at the wedding but then...nothing really mentioned again? It was a fake dating scheme that just became called a fling and never the fake dating was mentioned again? Theo wanted to pitch an idea to Logan but then...never mentioned again. Even the "fall back in love with Christmas" plot-point was immediately abandoned. Or Logan's mom setting him up all the time. Also, they had the feelings talk like 3 times before Gwen actually believed it which was a bit frustrating. There were just a lot of minor plot holes that ended up bothering me more than they probably should have. Despite that, it was a cute little easy Christmas romance.

This was a cute holiday story that was perfect for a cozy November evening read. It is apparently the third in a series but it stands alone just fine!

this book is really heartwarming and wholesome. logan is such a good compliment to gwen, and it was amazing to see them on their journey of their relationship. gwen is quite insecure and logan is there to reassure her, they’re made for each other 🧩 it’s as though logan is the missing piece in gwen’s puzzle
highly recommend this book to get you into the christmas vibe🎄now i want a matcha pistachio cake

This is my first read from Lucy Day. One Sweet Holiday is just that - a sweet holiday romance. The book is set in Jasmine Falls, South Carolina at Christmas time. You get all the small town Christmas traditions and a sexy Scottish hero. Gwen is a local baker preparing for her sister's wedding festivities. Logan is a wedding guest looking for a quiet getaway to figure out some family issues. Logan ends up next door to Gwen. Gwen and Logan are wonderful together. Neither are judgmental and both support each other. Gwen is able to work through her issues with Logan's help and Gwen is able to provide the support that Logan needs. Everyone should have a Logan in their life. Overall, this is a lovely book that makes you feel that everyone deserves their own HEA.

First of all thank you Netgalley and Lucy Day for giving me this ARC in exchange of an honest rewiev.
In my search for Christmas-themed books for an Instagram post I accidentally came across this book and the truth is it is one of the best things that could have happened to me.
This book was so good and I didn't I would love it as much as I did.
Gwen and Logan are just too adorable, I just want to hug and protect them at all cost.
Gwen is this female character, who is an independent and hard-working woman, she feels that she is bad at romantic relationships and a failure since she has never been able to meet the high standards that her mother has always set for her. After her failed engagement last year and with pressure from her mother to get a date for her sister's wedding, she finds herself in this situation that she never expects.
To get her mother to stop bothering her, her sister comes up with the great idea of her pretending to have a relationship with Logan, her fiancé's Scottish friend who is only in town for a short time. It sounds like the perfect plan but not everything is what it seems. The more time Gwen and Logan spend together, they begin to realize that they are more similar than they thought and their true feelings grow more and more.
Can I just say how much I love Logan? Like how is he's so perfect and adorable, he's always taking care of her, listen and suporting her. You can totally see how hard he falls in this book and I enjoyed too much.
Another thing I really loved was that it had both PO'Vs of our main characters and the fact that the book doesn't have explicit sex scenes was a lovely surprise too, I'm all for smutty books but from time to time I want a story comtemporary romance story that it's just romance and cute scenes.
If you're for a christmas romance com without a 3rd act break up, this is totally the book to pick this season.

The book was the perfect way to kick off my holiday romcom reading. The themes in the book offered so much depth and insight into the characters that I have not often been able to find in books. I am a therapist and I thoroughly loved reading about the characters' struggles - it made me feel less alone as a human and I could see it making so many other people feel less alone. It almost felt like a therapy session at times - in the most amazing way. The characters were just so real.

When I requested this book, I didn't realize it was the third book in a series. It is very much a standalone book though and I didn't feel like I was missing anything by having not read the first two books. I will say that, though this book may have been set at a holiday, I didn't really get that feel so the title is a bit misleading.
Gwen Griffin needs a date to a wedding. Her sister is getting married and Gwen wants everything to be perfect. That includes no one questioning why she's still single.
When Gwen's sister rents out the house next door to one of the groom's friends, Gwen isn't bothered. It's often used as a rental. But she's not expecting the tenant, Logan, to be so gosh-darn handsome. Nor is she expecting to meet him while she's half dressed.
The two spend some time together and are delighted to find that they have much in common and that they may be falling in love.
Closed door romance with a bit of a rushed ending but I overall enjoyed it.
Three and a half stars

Opinions are my own

Absolutely loved this small town rom com! If you’re looking for a fun holiday read this is it! Feels like a cute hallmark movie. The author wrote these characters perfectly and left readers feeling a strong connection to both characters.
Highly recommend
4 stars

This is a cute romance with small town aspects. If you like insta-love you’ll definitely like this. I prefer more tension than an instant connection, but otherwise it was a fun read and I recommend for a cute fluffy romance book!

Together, with the help of each other, two strangers overcame years of emotional abuse in Lucy Day's light and cute holiday romance.
Gwen and Logan were complete opposites that ended up being perfect for each other. The way Logan supported her was so lovely, and it showed the love he had for her.
Even though I found Logan's patience and Scottish accent very attractive, Gwen was the one who stole the show for me; her problems made her more relatable to me. I identify myself with her on so many levels. There was a moment while reading the book when Logan questioned her, and I was like, damn boy, when am I going to hear that question directed to me? It got me right in the feels.
While it was not too difficult to predict the direction of the story, it was such a charming escape. Warm and romantic, One Sweet Holiday is a heart-warming story that's great to get lost for a while.

This was such a sweet romcom with a sprinkle of Christmas. I adored the main characters and how they were able to help each other in different ways. A cute romcom to add to your Holiday TBR list.

This is my first Lucy Day romance, and I was impressed with how much I loved it. Gwen wants to support her sister, although she is coming off one of the worst experiences in her life, being dumped by her fiancee and having to experience that in a noisy small town - where everyone knows your business.
In comes Logan, who has been her neighbour for a month and is also causing Gwen to have feelings she's not had before.
I loved that Logan and Gwen were friends before anything more was established. It made the love story that much more beautiful.
Although I was hoping for some redemption with the ex because I love it when an ex is proved wrong, the sweetness of the love story made it clear that this was missing.
I will be keeping an eye out for more books by Lucy Day.

One Sweet Holiday by Lucy Day is an adorable holiday quick read. How can you resist a beautiful, curvy baker who meets a gorgeous Scot just before the holidays? Gwen is preparing for her sister's wedding when her future brother-in-law's friend from Scotland, Logan comes to stay. With her bakery busier than ever, Gwen doesn't have time for a man, but Logan is more than just a man. If you enjoy holiday novels, be sure to get this one! Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

If you are looking for a cute, insta-romance, quick read then this is the book for you.
Cons: the plot was a little flat and the character development could have been stronger.
Pros: It's a holiday book so cozy up with a blanket and this book and enjoy.

Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to be an arc reader for this book!
First time I’ve read a book by this author and totally fell in love with this Arthur and her style of writing. She is highly descriptive and can easily paint a picture of the surrounding she describing.
The way she has you feel the chemistry between the two main characters is amazing I could actually feel it with the sly looks, the small touches, the pet names and how the main male character would easily walk over hot coal for her. And obviously the accent she paints in your head definitely adds to it!
The story it’s self is beautiful, the main female character is overlooked and underestimated by every around her, her parents are toxic and constantly put her down. She been trying to prove everyone wrong and slowly lost her self in the process.
The main male character is running away from family issues and needs some time to breathe and collect him self before trying to deal with the issues of been made to take over the family business in which he doesn’t agree so for want to do.
The slowly both find them selfs whilst building a friendship and then it becomes something more and bigger..
I would definitely recommend reading this book

This was cute but also a little boring and definitely predictable so around. I love Logan but he's also a little too much at times. I love that the main FMC is curvy because you don't see that much BUT she's also a mess and I didn't really connect with her at all. The chemistry between the two was a bit hard to believe sometimes too.
I also hate the insta love trope and I didn't realize that was what this was going to be. If you like it, you'll be fine but saying you love someone after a couple weeks is not my jam. Same with saying someone is the most interesting person you've ever met just after a quick meeting is weird.
The book was repetitive in phrases that got REALLY annoying. Like the FMC continuously calling Logan, Lancelot. Ugh. And it was multiple times in one conversation. People don't talk like that. Lol. Or saying "Mercy/Have Mercy" or whatever. This isn't a book on Jesse Katsopolis.
It also didn't make me feel very Christmas-y reading it. Holiday stuff is mentioned but it doesn't give you the good feeling of a Christmas read. I feel like that's important to point out since that's what I was looking for.
But it was cute, just not my favorite romance by any means.
Thanks Netgalley and Blue Crow Publishing for an ARC. All opinions are mine and mine alone.

Loved! Gwen is such a great character, I just felt awful for her for all the things she was going through, and her growth throughout was so good to see! Logan is just the sweetest guy! The poster child for good guys everywhere! I loved how the both of them were able to handle their familial pressures, but in completely different ways.

Opposites attract in this sweet holiday rom com—but will this small-town sweetheart and her mysterious new neighbor be a perfect match or a recipe for disaster?
One Sweet Holiday is a closed-door romance set during the holiday season. Gwen suffers from low-confidence which comes into play when she meets Logan - the new, hot billionaire who is staying next door.
One Sweet Holiday is a sweet and enjoyable read. The main characters are certainly likable and the dual POV added to the story. The baking references sprinkled throughout the book add a delightful touch and the author touched upon mental health in a way that was unexpected for a holiday rom-com. However, I found that the story tended to drag on at times, which affected the overall pacing. I also needed just a little more Christmas sprinkled throughout to capture that festive atmosphere - it often felt like a story set during the holidays rather than fully immersing me in the holiday spirit. And even for a closed-door romance.. there was a definite lack of spice.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for a review. All reviews published are completely honest and my own, and are in now way influenced by the gifting opportunity

This book is exactly what I expected: a light, fluffy, fun confection. Is it over-the-top, unrealistic, and predictable? Yep, and it never pretends to be otherwise. It's exactly what someone might want in a fun escapist novel for the holidays. Even though not everything goes perfectly, and there are some heavier moments involving injuries, break-ups, and painful family dynamics, everything works out happily, as the author promises. The book also has good lessons about choosing someone who will care for you, and not being a doormat with demanding family or romantic partners. Though this isn't my usual fare, it was a fun, quick read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher; I was provided with a free eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Blue Crow Publishing for providing the ARC.
This book was a cute romance with a bit of holiday flavor, even if it is a little vacuous. The plot is essentially nonexistent, but the feel good romance will keep you engaged long enough to get through the story. The characters aren't particularly dynamic, but they're fleshed out enough to feel like theyre complete. There is an air of insta-love to this book that I generally avoid, but it wasn't too bad in this story.
Overall, not a bad read, especially if you want something holiday coded without it being front and center of the story. I, personally, would have liked a bit more substance, but what was provided works well within the context of the storh.
