Thank you to Netgally for providing this ARC.
Overall, this was a nice quick holiday read. While I liked the fast pace it also made the book feel like it took place in a short amount of time. I was quite surprised when it was already wedding time and not only a few days later. While this is a cute little holiday read it was slightly annoying how the FMC was so down on Christmas spirit and cheer. Because of her sour stance on Christmas, I was expecting more of a Christmas spirit rally at the end. I was also excepting a little more rom with this com, but I’m not upset about it.

One Sweet Holiday is a cute story that follows Gwen (the small town baker) and Logan (the mega-rich venture capitalist) when they end up neighbors for the holidays. I thoroughly enjoyed this story of about two people looking to find the balance between work/life, which shows up in the most unexpected places. Lucy Day writes a lovely narrative that keeps you interested and curious about what happens next. Full of fun and laughter, this one is perfect for a quick holiday read.

Aside from Christmas spirit this book has fake dating and a family drama. I like how Logan always comfort Gwen when she's feeling down.
This book is cute but the plot of the story is lacking. The POV of the main characters are too much for me. This book is a dual pov but it felt like it's too much because the POV of the main characters seems to be more, than the actual scene in the book.

This was such a cute holiday romance. I enjoy a good spicy book as much as the next person but it was refreshing to read a romance that doesn’t focus on the spice.

Gwen is a cafe/bakery owner in small town Jasmine Falls. Gwen is a perfectionist, refuses to ask for help, & is way too hard on herself. With her Sisters wedding just around the corner she is desperate to find a plus one to take, if only to get her mom off her back.

Enter Logan Fyfe the hottie Scot Bazillionaire who is renting the house next door to escape his family for the holidays.

I think I related so much to Gwen in so many ways that made this read special for me. Themes of setting boundaries, asking for help, putting yourself first, listening to your heart and going for what you want. It was also very refreshing to have two individuals communicate open and honestly with one another. The miscommunication tropes really get under my skin sometimes.

The book is written in dual POV Gwen & Logan.

Tropes: insta love, opposites attract, fake dating

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Netgalley, Blue Crow Publishing, and of course, Lucy Day, for the opportunity to read this cute-as-can-be Christmas romance before it’s released next week.

‘One Sweet Holiday’ is one sweet book, and in the few hours it took me to read it, it brought me so much joy!

‘Tis the season, and a year on from calling off her own wedding, Gwen is busier than ever, helping her sister get ready to walk down the aisle. Determined to prove to her family that she’s doing just fine, Gwen sets off to find herself a date for the special occasion, but living in a small country town makes that much easier said than done.

With only weeks to go until the big day (and Christmas), Gwen is getting nervous. But lo and behold, Logan, a charming guest of the groom, arrives to stay in the house next door and offers to be her fake date for the festivities.

Is this where their story ends? Not even close, but I won't spoil it so take my word for it when I say…

This is a MUST-read for the holiday season!

This was a super cute Hallmarky (but wayyy less cheesy) holiday romance. Personally, I could have used some more Christmas magic in this book, but I think it being subtly sprinkled in helped lessen the cheese factor. Logan is a dreamy Scottish MMC who calls Gwen love and gorgeous, swoon. Gwen the FMC is curvy and owns her own bakery, which she is working hard to establish as a legitimate business in her mother's eyes. Their paths cross as Logan is in town for Gwen's sister's wedding and renting the sister's house. The house that is conveniently Gwen's neighbor. Sparks fly instantly for the two and they enter into a fake dating scenario.

This was an adorable holiday romcom. We have fake dating and insta love. I think Logan is just an adorable man who is definitely classified as a cinnamon roll. We have Gwen who just can’t seem to get out of her own way and should believe in herself more. But, Logan really brings out the best in her and it’s very sweet. I did want a little more from the ending. I was hoping someone would put Gwen’s mom in her place but this was still a cute story! A quick read that had me swooning over Logan. Definitely a closed door holiday romance if you aren’t looking for spice.

Cute holiday story. Logan is in town for his friends wedding and he meets Gwen, the town baker. They fake date to keep her nightmare mom off her back. Lots of family drama on both sides. Closed door 🌶️ and that’s not my preference, but it was sweet and a cute romance.

Lucy Day's One Sweet Holiday is a great Christmas read.  A fabulous baker/business owner in small-town South Carolina has no time for romance, and there are really no possibilities, much to her meddling mother's dismay. Then, the twist...a hot Scottish man moves in next door for the month. leading up to her sister's wedding.  She learns he's reclusive and there to get away. They meet when he comes to her house to get a key for the cabin he's renting and he finds her in somewhat of a state of undress as she is trying on dresses for her sister's wedding and the zipper is stuck. They become friends, then later fake dates for her sister's wedding.  Thanks, NetGalley and the publisher, for providing me with an ARC ebook to read for this review. My opinions are all m my own.

This book gave me all of the holiday cheer I needed. It’s a little sad that Gwen had to endure so much from her mom, and she suffers from a ton of insecurities that it was so refreshing when Logan came along to be that rock. Logan is going through his own thing when it comes to his family, but this book was so damn sweet. A ton of inspirational moments, and I love Gwen’s friends. This is a very cozy holiday romance read.

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book

Highlands Christmas by Amy Quick Parrish is a yummy yuletide treat. What is not to love when a sexy Scottish billionaire and a cute cafe owner with a heart of gold and a desire to people-please her way through small-town America meet up? With the perfect amount of spice and sweet this book delivers the coziest Christmas romance that goes down as easier than hot chocolate on a snowy winter night. Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

Gwen and Logan are two people that prove that meddling families who want what's best for you isn't a great thing when they refuse to actually listen to you. Aside from that family feature, and having a sibling that is willing to be on their side and talk it out, they couldn't be further from each other. She is American, he is Scottish, She runs a bakery, he is an angel investor. She works hard to just make a living, he is loaded. But when Logan comes for a vacation around her sister's wedding, Gwen can't help but continually find herself in humiliating situations with him around her. Together, they work through some family trauma and drama, holiday disasters, things that are personal wins but their families are convinced are failures. Lucy Day has a great way of finding everyday humor and write in a way that is comical but also identifiable.

Perfectionist Gwen is doing everything she can to give her sister the wedding of her dreams. With her ill feelings towards the groom and her previous called off engagement, Gwen is having trouble keeping it together. She has been in the hunt for a wedding date, but dating in a small town means there are not very many options. That is until Logan comes to town for the month. Logan is an attractive Scot "gazillionaire" who is just looking to get away from his family and their unfair expectations of him.

Overall, this was a really sweet Christmas read. It is light-hearted, funny, and the perfect escape from the craziness of the holidays. It is definitely chessey and like reading a Hallmark movie, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There is not a ton of character development, but I did really enjoy reading Gwen and Logan. Logan was an absolute sweetheart. I found his "instalove" for Gwen very endearing.

One Sweet Holiday is the third book of the Jasmine Falls series by Lucy Day. It does act as a standalone. I have not read the first two novels and did not feel lost or confused. I now want to go back and read the other books. I would definitely recommend One Sweet Holiday to any reader looking for some Christmas cheer.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC! One Sweet Holiday will be released on November 6th.

One Sweet Holiday is book 3 in the Jasmine Falls Love Stories series by Lucy Day.
After reading and absolutely loving OSH I’m now on a mission to get the two previous titles in this series.
This is a fantastic, small town, holiday rom-com with characters I loved the minute I met them! I love how the author immediately made me feel “at home” while reading this one and the entire story left the biggest smile on my face!
I loved being in the small town of Jasmine Falls, South Carolina.
The descriptions were just amazing and our characters Gwen and Logan were fun, engaging and so entertaining.
I adored all the characters, this is the kind of book that just leaves me feeling happy.
I really liked how she writes the most fun character interactions. It was great watching it all unfold.
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the small town, fake-dating, opposites attract trope with laugh-out-loud banter.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Blue Crow Publishing for the opportunity to read this ahead of its publication date in return for my honest review.

This is a sweet romance set in a small town in december. Gwen is a baker who is in desperate need of a date to her sister's wedding. When Scottish billionaire Logan rents the cabin next door he might be even more than just a date.
I liked the characters and the story but I found it a bit over the top how the big problem in Logan's life just conveniently disappears in the end.
Still an entertaining holiday read.

As if being dumped by her fiancé wasn’t enough, Gwen now has to attend her sister’s wedding, alone, and face her ex who will also be in attendance.

Seizing her opportunity, she asks her temporary Scottish bazillionaire neighbour, Logan, to fake-date her.

This opposites attract, fake dating, small town romance is a quick and easy read.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

This book and its characters are definitely well written, but I feel like the plot itself was lacking. There was a lot of will they, won't they, and not a lot of actual action between the two. I think the dual points of view in this book were very unnecessary, and the story suffered a lot because of it. The ending / epilogue were also very rushed and I think there should have been a lot more plot before getting to that point.

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for the ARC!

A good way to kick off my winter holiday reading! One Sweet Holiday combines a few of my fave romance tropes (small town, fake dating) into a cute and easy read. A Scottish accent always gets me, and Logan is no exception. He falls fast for Gwen in a wonderfully memorable meet cute and helps her realize that she doesn't have to do everything on her own all the time. Their love story is sweet and wraps up nicely. Recommend for fans of "clean" romances!
