I love holiday romcoms with all the feels, and this did not disappoint. Our sweet FMC, Gwen, owns a bakery, and like many of us, struggles with confidence. Our MMC, Logan, with his sexy Scottish accent, has his own set of problems. His stay in town is temporary, but are his feelings for Gwen? This is such a sweet and loving romcom. It was a great addition to my holiday romcom sprint.

I enjoyed this story of a woman who gets pushed around by her family, is in business for herself, has a wonderful relationship with her sister, and meets a hot and supportive man (who just happens to have a Scottish brogue). I did feel like this story and on and on a bit, could use some editing down. But I'll definitely read Lucy Day again, she writes great characters.

My heart is full! This book was the perfect escape and I was completely entertained. This heartwarming, funny story is full of sweetness, romance, sizzle, witty dialog and banter. I adored the amazing characters and wonderful, well written storyline. One of the best opposites attract I have ever read! It's a page turner for sure and I loved every second of it.

Fun read! When a hot Scott neighbor comes to town it turns Gwen’s world upside down. Gwen was a sweet people pleaser pushover. Being second best in her parents eyes made her doubt herself. Logan was a game changer. He made Gwen value herself more. This book was full of laughs and small town fun. Thank you NetGalley for this free advanced copy. I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

This was a cute and easy Christmas book. We meet the “hot Scot” Logan who’s from Scotland and also very rich. We also meet a small town baker who owns a cafe, Gwen. It seems that these two are at different points in their life but the small town Christmas magic works its charm and changes things. Gwen is a likable main character with relatable issues to deal with. I didn’t realize this was a series until I was in the middle of it. I think I would’ve rated it higher if I read all the books involved. Thanks to net galley for my copy!

The tension is building for Gwen and her newly-discovered interest, Logan. He’s running away from family issues and Gwen is running into trouble saying no to others. Logan gives her the perfect reason to pretend to be wedding dates and a lot more! Spicy and inclusive! I loved this book.

"One Sweet Holiday" by Lucy Day is a heartwarming and delightful Christmas romance that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. Set in the charming town of Jasmine Falls, South Carolina, this novel takes us on a journey with Gwen Griffin, a determined perfectionist who is determined to ensure her sister's wedding is flawless. However, Gwen's quest for perfection takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself in need of a wedding date. Enter Logan Fyfe, the handsome and charismatic guy next door, who is only in town for a few weeks. This was a sweet book with likable characters. It is a part of a series but was easily able to be read as a standalone without feeling as if pieces of the puzzle were missing. The author uses steady pacing with humor to move the book along. I enjoyed how the characters enhanced each other in a somewhat realistic way. This is a low steam book that could be easily read by many people and I could see myself recommended this to others.

What a delightful holiday romcom. One Sweet Holiday had me “catching feelings” page after page. Gwen and Logan are the perfect example of opposites attract. This book definitely has me viewing Scottish men in a totally different light.

Another clean romance. Very cute. Loved Logan and Gwen. Great reminder to slow down for the holidays. Victoria definitely won the day.

Enjoyable story!

This was a cute, sweet read. It seemed longer than necessary, but I enjoyed the characters’ sweet love story and shared growth.

Thank you NetGalley for this digital ARC of an adorable little feel-good Christmas romance!

Gwen is a small-town firecracker with her own business and a do-or-die attitude. She has her hands full with her overbearing mom, her bakery/coffee shop, her dependable sister, and her hometown responsibilities. Enter Logan. A Scottish hunk with a carefree attitude and enough cash to live freely. They take a shine to each other instantly and the swooning begins. He teaches her self-care and leaning on others. She teaches him about community. All in all it was a good time and perfect for this time of year.

I really liked this book. Gwen and Logan are complete opposites but are exactly what the other needs. Gwen struggles throughout the book with something many women struggle with: over working, taking care of others but not herself, doubting herself, beating herself up, and pleasing everybody else while her own feelings and wants are ignored. Logan comes to her rescue and shows her that a burnt out life is not the way to live. Of course the love story was cute and enjoyable, but I think many women will relate to Gwen in ways they don’t relate to other rom com heroines, and because of that I recommend it.

This was the first book I have read by Lucy Day. I really enjoyed this book. This had all the feels of a charming and cozy Christmas romance. It was cute and funny, a great way to start my holiday reading. I think this has a Hallmark movie vibe to it. I will definitely be recommending this book.

Thank you NetGalley and Blue Crow Publishing for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

I feel like this book had everything I needed: a cafe, planning a wedding, ROMANCE, Christmas, and a SCOTTISH MAN.

I loved Logan's patience and support for Gwen, but Gwen was my favorite. She was so relatable and I was rooting for her. This was charming, sweet, and the perfect winter holiday read.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC!

Unashamedly romantic, you just cannot help rooting for Gwen to find her happy every after. She has been through the mill with a horrid ex, and over bearing mother, an oh so perfect sister, a very demanding job and the weight of the world on her shoulders. Then a handsome scot shows up next door and sparks start to fly!! Sweet, charming, funny and sexy, its a really good Christmas rom com and I very much enjoyed it.

I love a curvy female main character who is also around 6-feet tall and a Scottish hero?—I'M IN.

ONE SWEET HOLIDAY is exactly what it claims to be; an achingly sweet Christmas romance. But the thing that didn't really work for me is the book boyfriend perfection of the male lead. The man has zero flaws, is unendingly supportive, romantic, and therefore...pretty boring.

There just isn't any sort of interesting character arc when authors write men like this. Yes, a lot of us women read romance for the Book Boyfriend vibes, but make him this flawless and you've lost me.

ONE SWEET HOLIDAY was a good book, with great character chemistry, but a very one-dimensional male lead.

𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟: Rated G / Kissing only.
𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦: cheating ex, broken engagement
𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦: 2/5 - A bit of drama, but still a pretty light read.

Did you know that it’s the most wonderful reading time of the year?!
Why you ask?
Well, it’s because I get to read ALL the holiday romances AND get to know new to me authors.

𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 was my first Lucy Day romance read and I absolutely adored everything about this small town, grumpy/sunshine, Christmas read. Gwen and Logan were amazing book characters. She is sweet and sassy and he is big Scottish teddy bear. Together they are magic.

From start to finish I remained glued to my kindle and enjoyed all the Christmas shenanigans as they unfolded and was pleased with Lancelot and his princess’s much deserved happily ever after.

I’m giving 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!
