I've always adored Sarah Crossan's writing style, and 'Where the Heart Should Be' is no different. The lyrical form works so well in this setting, and truly does just make your heart ache.
Despite the short length, nothing felt too rushed or overlooked, and I think it was the perfect way to tell this story. Crossan does not shy away from depicting the horrors of the Famine, and this is done so well and so respectfully.
I would highly recommend this new novel, and anticipate it being available on shelves next year!
