HEA but will really test the fortitude of your heartstrings along the way. TJ Klune has a beautiful, bittersweet way of exploring the depths of the human- and wolf, apparently- experience.
Truly a pleasure to read and this narrator’s Maine-er accent is a treat of world building that added to the intensity of the story.

I can't think of another author who has me cycling between tears and snort-laughing so quickly and so often. This is another gorgeous instalment of the series, and I'm looking forward to the next one

What an exhilarating rendezvous into a world of chaos, war and magic framed by the enchantments of love and the essence of found family.
The audiobook of Heartsong by TJ Klune, narrated by the inimitable Kirt Graves, courtesy of Macmillan UK Audio and Tor, is a delicious symphony to the ears.
Graves' voice is as smooth and silky as a moonlit sea, packing each word with love and emotion. Powerful yet fluid, his voice holds a magnetic charm that flows as sensuously as a moon-pulled tide. Whether it's soft as a summer breeze, or as fierce as a howling storm, he morphs into each character with seamless ease, painting them in a rainbow of personalities, just like the shapeshifting werewolves and witches he breathes life into. I could never tire of listening to Kirt Graves reading TJ Klune.
Heartsong is the third instalment in the Green Greek’s series, a luminous universe encapsulated by the motto, "Pack is love. Pack is home. Pack is everything." When you dabble in Klune's world, you see miracles and fireflies, and you find a home amidst the most extraordinary beings. Packed with anguish, rage, hope, love, and resilience, I found each page pulling me deeper into a poignant hymn for the missing and lost. And just like Wolfsong, Heartsong continues to deliver a story that is pure "candy canes and pine cones" and "epic and awesome."
The narrative had my heart pounding and my stomach fluttering in suspense, whilst weaving elements of humour and fear into a captivating, thrilling tapestry.
From the fragments of wisdom intricately sewed into each line to the heart-stopping kisses shared between characters, Heartsong doesn't fail to remind us of the power of memories and the fiery force of rage. It sings its beautiful hymn loud and clear into our hearts.
May their songs always be heard!
I just love love love TJ Klune's Green Creek series, can't wait for the next instalment!
Thank you, Netgalley, for giving me access to this magic.

I enjoy this series a little more with each instalment! This book follows Robbie - one of the newest additions to the Bennett pack after he was first sent to them as a spy back in book 1 (Wolfsong). From the very start of the book things have changed drastically - Robbie is living with a different pack and nothing is quite as it seems. I enjoyed seeing the relationships between the characters develop and deepen, I loved finding out about Robbie's mate story, and the ending of the book gives a lot to work with for book 4 which I'm really looking forward to. There is only one sex scene in this which is very short. The narration on this is brilliant - after reading the first two books visually it was lovely to get a sense of each character through the voicework done by Kirt Graves, who managed to make each character from a pretty large cast distinct.

I hate being negative with an author I like. I just did not take to this book. I found the character slightly insufferable. The audiobook narrator was great though and the book itself was well written. Unfortunately, I just did not take to it particularly well and struggled to get into the story. It seems to have a lot of positive feedback so this is clearly not the common point of view.

Heartsong is a wonderful continuation of the Green Creek series.
The third book in the series focuses on Robbie as the main character. At the beginning of the story he has magic induced amnesia and we see his life among the pack he has been kidnapped by. As the story progresses, we rejoin more of the characters we’ve come to know and love, and, just like in Ravensong, it’s interesting to see the pack from a different point of view.
I adore the narrator of these audiobooks, I’ve listened to all three so far and I look forward to the audiobook every time. He really adds another dimension to the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed Heartsong and I can’t wait for the next, and final, book in the Green Creek series.

Me while listening to this book: 🫨😩😭🥹😩😭🥹😍
In other words, "Heartsong" by TJ Klune is a captivating journey of self-discovery and love, woven with Klune's signature blend of humor and heart. The characters are vibrant, and the narrative explores themes of identity and acceptance. The intricate yet easy to follow storytelling shines through, creating a love story that is both emotionally resonant and thoroughly engaging. A must-read for those seeking a beautifully crafted romance with depth and authenticity.
I also strongly recommend the audiobook for this book, and the entire series really. Kurt Graves brings these characters to life in such a way that you will be incredibly melancholy for at least a week afterwards, but in the best way possible.

With every book, TJ Klune finds new ways to absolutely destroy me and then slowly piece me back together again. I’m constantly in awe of his ability to write emotion so convincingly and it drags me into the story and the characters until I’m so invested that I feel a part of it. Despite how heavy and emotionally wrought this series is (I always cry at each book, usually several times) he balances this with such fantastic humour that has me laughing out loud at the pack’s antics. Rico, in particular, has the best lines to bring the comedy element to the story. This was a wonderful addition to the series and I loved finding out about Robbie and what he had been through away from the pack, and seeing him heal and find his place again. It definitely wasn’t easy for him or for the others, and it was written so beautifully to reflect that. I read the audiobook and Robbie’s New York accent surprised me at first but I really loved it for his character, and it felt right for him. The narrator was also really good at doing voices for other characters, which isn’t always the case, and so huge bonus points for that talent! This is the third in the series and there’ll be no stopping me from picking up the fourth when it’s available.
I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

Heartsong by TJ Klune is the third book in The Green Creek series, and I can truthfully say that this book nearly broke me. Warning, do not listen to the audio book whilst driving, the tears running down my face resulting in me pulling the car over, to pull myself together before I could continue my journey.
Heartsong is very distinct from the previous two books – Wolfsong and Ravensong, in that it isn’t as steamy and believe it or not, is so much more emotional! Until now I had not really been in the Robbie camp, Robbie had always struck me as being rather selfish, self involved and I wasn’t over the moon that book 3 – Heartsong was going to focus on his relationship with Kelly who has always seemed to be such a loving and caring character but, I was totally wrong and this book this book was an immense juggernaut of an assault on my emotions and I truly adore Robbie now!
Heartsong takes all the aspects of an already established couple, and totally blows that to bits in a heartbeat! From the start we meet Robbie, alone, not part of the Bennett pack, lost, struggling to understand what is happening and totally conflicted. To begin with, I was thrown a little, what was going on but, soon I was engrossed, hunting for a reason to keep listening to the book and find out what was happening and what would happen next.
The romance between Kelly and Robbie is truly slow burn, far less steamy (Kelly is asexual) but, no less heartfelt, emotional and heart twanging. Their journey, struggles and the pain made their love all the sweeter for me but, I truly cried at multiple points throughout their story and at points my heart was breaking!
Taking this step to completely change the rhythm of the series and develop a compelling plot and distinct journey for the characters was a truly brave step that whilst disconcerting at the start will soon pull you in to the point that you won’t be able to put this book down until the end. And I’m not going to mention that end, except to say that I need to read Brothersong now!

I‘m done. Literally.
This book was so different from what I thought it would be, but I loved it with all my (constantly hurting) heart!
I wasn’t a big fan of Robbie before, but in this book he was acting way more mature and I immediately started to love him after 10 minutes..
Also Kelly is such a sweartheart, he needs to be protected at all costs (because he deserves it!).
I was a super big fan of the love story and the plot in general. It was way less action filled then the last books, but super emotional. My poor heart though.
Also I‘m relieved that the humour wasn’t as silly as the last book! Though the humour was still there, it was a bit toned down and I was laughing my ass off about some parts.
That ending though!!!
We need Brothersong NOW!
I‘m probably going to die waiting.

I really enjoy T.J.Klunes style of writing in every book of his that I have read. I find them heartwarming and thought provoking

What stood out to me:
The love, the found family, the characters, the ace representation and the plot.
My thoughts:
What a book! I loved it! As soon as I read this was a (gay) shifter romance I was in, so I went in quite blind except for that. I hadn’t even realised it was the third book in a series until I’d started listening to it. I will admit that the start (first 25-ish%) was confusing but I’m sooo glad I stuck through it. This book is a journey of discovery, second chance, love and (found) family. I really would recommend it to anyone who likes shifter romances.
Audiobook review:
Kirt Graves narrated this audiobook perfectly, he portrayed the characters and the story really well :)

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC of the audiobook.

Recommend rereading the first two before starting this one. A great book in the series and really enjoyed the audio. Loved the asexual rep and the intimacy between the characters.
