DNF - I attempted to start this book and it just did not hold my interest. This may be a book I come back to in the future.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book as an ARC
I truly wanted to love this book and did to a point; however, the protagonist andr many of the characters were very unlikeable and I didn't care much about them.
The book has a promising storyline but it did fall a little flat for me. I kept thinking when will something happen next and was waiting for some exciting twists but that didn’t happen.
It was a decent read but, for me, nothing to get overly excited about.

OMG, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING

That only sentence is the only thing you need to know
I LOVE thrillers and sometimes I have a little struggle because I´m start seeing pattern and I see what is coming, but of course NOT in this case
it was a huge rollercoaster of emotions, I had a greeeat time, there is only one thing, I truly hated the characters, maybe was the idea, maybe not, but I truly didn´t connect with them, just the plot.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of The Perfect Affair by Angela Henry in exchange for my honest review and opinion. I absolutely loved this book with all the crazy twists and turns that kept me guessing up until the very last page and even then I was shocked. Do yourself a big favor and read this the first chance you can.

A proper whodunnit that had so many unseen twists. I like the characters and I felt invested in them. I couldn’t put this down and have bought it for my daughter.
Strong 5/5.

I was really excited for this one as the synopsis sounded great, but I struggled to get into the one. The writing felt quite stilted and the situations didn’t feel organic to the story. There were some likable characters and I loved the opening scene, I wish the rest of the book had continued with the same atmosphere and intensity but the execution just wasn’t there.

"The Perfect Affair" was a fun thriller with lots of twists that will keep you guessing until the very end.

I enjoyed the premise but I did feel that the story was rushed at points. It was a quick read that also felt slow in certain chapters.

All in all, I would look up for of Angela Henry's books.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for selecting me to read this ARC.

I enjoyed this book but found it overall to be confusing. I am looking forward to reading what this author writes in the future though!

There's definitely no such thing as a perfect affair, as this book proves. Infidelity is bad enough but could Paiges husband really be a murderer? She'll have to do everything she can to fund out. Unsettling. Gripping. Very good.

This story had potential. Who doesn't love a thriller with an affair, a missing person, and a wife who knows. The problem I had though is I just didn't fall in love/hate with any of the characters. I found the story to move slowly, storyline was lack luster, and the characters not well developed. This was my first by Angela Henry though and I will read another because although there are critiques, it had me enough to finish it.

Thank you to NetGalley, Angela Henry, Dreamscape, and Storm Publishing for the advance digital copy to review.

The Perfect Affair is a fast-paced thriller that makes for an engaging read, perfect for a long flight or a cozy afternoon indoors. Set in the world of academia, the story revolves around Aaron Nichols, who has just been promoted to lead his department. Struggling with the pressures of his new role, he starts an affair with a colleague, Cara Morton. Things take a dark turn when his wife, Paige, learns about the affair, and shortly after, Cara disappears, making Aaron the prime suspect. The narrative alternates between Aaron, Paige, and the detective investigating the case, giving different perspectives on the unfolding mystery.

While the book kept me entertained, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. By the end, I found myself indifferent to the fate of the characters, which dampened the emotional impact of the story. That said, it’s still a solid read for those looking for something quick and suspenseful.

I experienced the book via audiobook, and although the narration was well done, the single narrator made it tricky to follow the transitions between characters, especially when switching to Aaron’s point of view. It took a moment to adjust each time, but overall, the narration was smooth.

This was my first introduction to Angela Henry’s work, and while this particular story didn’t fully connect with me, I’m interested in exploring more of her books in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape, and Storm Publishing for the advanced copy. All opinions in this review are my own.

Predictable plot. Confusing timeline. Characters that actively make dumb choices. And the audiobook narrator was SO BAD.

This is my first book from the Author and I will looking out for more. I really enjoyed this book, it’s well written, and definitely has you questioning what’s going on throughout. The characters are mostly likable, which is great. I love how everything is tied up at the end, which is very twisty, so hang on for that ride. You really don’t know “who done it” from one chapter till the next.
