Angela Henry is one of my favorite authors, and she certainly did not miss with this work. This mystery was filled with so many twists and turns, it kept me guessing...until the end of the book. I can't wait to see the next book published by this author.

I enjoyed the suspense and drama of this one. There were some twists that I didn’t expect and I liked the story being told from multiple points of views. This was a fun, mindless domestic suspense read. Entertaining and I like the investigative aspects of the story.

Excellent Pacing, and Intriguing Characters
This is a beautifully written book by Angela Henry and the first book that I have read by the author, and I was not disappointed. It has so many twists and turns that I was left guessing until the end. The story was easy to follow, and I was hooked from the beginning. There is a love and hate relationship between the main characters Aaron Nichols Cara Morton and Page Nichols.
There is a murder, adultery, a parent with mental health issues and enough family drama and suspense that this book will have you hooked from page one with a suspense story and plenty of plots until the very end. A great phycological thriller "Excellent pacing, intriguing characters, and an action-packed plot line. Do not miss this one and I look forward to more from this author. Thanks to NetGalley and to the publishers of this book for giving me a free advance copy of the book to preview and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you Net Galley for early access to read The Perfect Affair

The story follows Aaron and how wife Paige as they navigate through the downfalls of Aaron’s affair with his colleague Cara. When Cara goes missing, Aaron finds himself as the prime suspect. Was he involved in her disappearance? Will Aaron and Paige’s marriage withstand the lies and deception from his affair?

This book had me hooked from the beginning but I found it difficult to follow in places which made it difficult to remain invested in the story.

Looking from the outside in, Paige and Aaron Nichols seem to be a perfect family. However, Paige begins noticing how her husband starts acting differently, and soon confirms he has been having an affair with a colleague. Although he has mixed feelings, Aaron definitely wants to keep his marriage and family together, so he breaks off the relationship with Cara. Things don’t go as planned, and soon Aaron’s job is in jeopardy when Cara goes missing. Could Aaron be responsible?

Thank you to #netgalley and #stormpublishing for the ARC of this book. This book is amazing. It starts off with a bang and doesn’t let up. The twists just keep on coming and it is a wild ride. I loved every minute of it. This book releases January 15 - make sure to add to your TBR!

Would I recommend? 💯

Woah, this was a good read. It had a good storyline which had characters that you like and then could hate again in a heartbeat. I thought I had it all worked out and then the next minute something would happen to make me change my mind. Of course, I had it all wrongly worked out by the end! This book certainly kept me on my toes by keeping me guessing all the way through.

I enjoyed reading this one and am looking forward to reading more work by this author. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💫 (3.5)

Paige Nichols goes to meet her husband, Aaron, at a faculty holiday party. As she approaches, she sees him speaking with one of his colleagues, Cara Morton, and quickly realizes they are more than just colleagues. Then, Cara goes missing.

First off, this book starts with a body being found in a freezer…if that doesn’t pull you in I don’t know what will! The book was told from multiple POVs and multiple timelines (before, after, and Cara Morton’s childhood). It setup the story well and I did enjoy this.

The first third of the book was captivating, I couldn't, put it down, but then it felt like the story was going in multiple directions. It felt like so much was being introduced, so many characters intertwining, that I started Getting confused. The big reveal wasn’t super shocking, and almost like “oh, that’s it.”

There is a mini twist at the end of the book that was a nice little touch so I ended up rounding to a 3.5.

It’s definitely a popcorn thriller where it pulls you in and you want to know the outcome.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I am now a big Angela Henry fan! This was the first book I read by Angela and was blow away at how quickly I was immersed into the story. When I tell you it was plot twist after plot twist, i’m not exaggerating. This was a fantastically written thriller about a cheating husband, a crazy family and possible a crazy wife? I definitely recommend reading this one and I promise you will not be able to guess the ending. I will be adding all of Angela’s books to my TBR now, 4⭐️

But then Cara makes a shocking accusation about Aaron that threatens to end his career as a college professor and shatter their barely patched up marriage. Paige stands by her husband, but doubts creep in. Is Cara telling the truth? Or is this all part of her dangerous game?

Then Cara Morton disappears without a trace.

Paige knows her husband can keep secrets. She’s keeping dark secrets of her own. But is he a killer? The police seem to think so. But they don’t know Cara. They don’t know about her past. They don’t know what she’s capable of…

A twisty and completely unputdownable page-turner that will keep you up all night. Perfect for fans of The Housemaid, The Perfect Marriage and The Wife Between Us.

The book switches between different time frames though out. I really liked that it keep my brain fully engaged and stimulated.

The prologue starts with someone biding for a storage locker and finding more than they bargained for.

The main body of the book is then about Aaron and Paige Nichols marriage/relationship, the third person in their marriage and the decisions they make, with other characters linked into them because they live in a small area.
I really liked that it was such a complex tale, but at the same time easy for me to follow. I was hooked from start to finish.

Thank you NetGalley, Angela Henry, and Storm Publishing for allowing me to read an advanced copy of The Perfect Affair in exchange for an honest review. I received an advanced reader copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Kindle copy I received needs to go through another round of editing. There were too many grammatical errors to ignore, which took away from being completely drawn into the book. There is also a lot of content that could be eliminated to make for a better read through. It felt like there was a lot of filler just to add more pages.

With that said, the overall storyline was enjoyable. The characters were intriguing enough to enhance the experience. The ultimate reveal though was a little anticlimactic. It kind of felt like a last minute decision and it was rather baffling and unbelievable. A good one time read, but probably would not pick it up again.

This was the first book I read by this author and it definitely won’t be my last!
This psychological thriller tells a tale as old as time , but with enough twists to make your head spin!
Paige starts to notice changes in her husband, Aaron’s behavior, and as she suspected he was having an affair with his co-worker, Cara. To make matters worse Cara relishes in knowing Paige is aware of their affair and isn’t apologetic at all. Then… Cara goes missing and so begins the complex web of lies, secrets, and events that these and many other characters that come into the story begin to weave! This book kept me reading and needing answers. This story has suspense, intrigue, and jaw dropping revelations from anyone and everyone.
One critique I do have is there are a lot of characters introduced and they all are intertwined and play a role. This was quite confusing at times and I found myself having to stop and reference back to who they all were.
Howevvvvveeeer the ending/epilogue did not disappoint and left me shocked but also silently applauding things I never saw coming !

Thank you to the author, Netgalley, and Storm Publishing for the ARC of this book!!

All of these characters are awful people. It was hard for me to get through this because of how much I hated the characters. But the mystery was good and the plot twists were well-earned.

Ooh, this was great! Paige and her husband are having some issues in their marriage. His head is turned by a work colleague Cara. Paige finds out and then Cara goes missing.
This storyline is strong and intriguing, A little slow the first couple of chapters but then it ramps up and there are lots of twists and turns.
There are a lot of different characters that all have their place in the story but it did get a little confusing at times. Overall a fab read

I'd never read anything by this author before and was pleasantly surprised by all the twists and turns throughout the book. I thought it started out a little slow hard to get into but by the middle I didn't want to put it down! Definitely thought I figured out how it was going to end a few times but wasn't correct!
