Positive affirmations are always good and this book is great for readers of all ages. Be your best self and enjoy every minute!
A wonderful resource for young readers and their caregivers. This book offers a collection of carefully tailored positive affirmations that empower children to cultivate a strong sense of self-worth and resilience. It encourages them to embrace their uniqueness, dream big, and face challenges with a positive mindset. The affirmations are easy to understand and perfect for children aged 4-10, making it an ideal addition to the toolkit of parents, teachers, and caregivers.
This book was ok. I don't have any strong feelings one way or another. I can see the value for maybe a preschool age story time or if you have a young child struggling with self-confidence, but I think there are better options out there.
This is a sweet book for young children containing positive affirmations. In other words, this book reinforces good behavior, kindness, morality, and cooperation. All good lessons, lessons taught be religion and secular humanists, and teachers in elementary school. A regular dose of positive messaging is always a good thing, and this book is well written and accessible and useful to the younger set.
Pros:
A good range of affirmations.
Good use of questions to make the book an interactive experience.
Encourages children to love themselves and fosters self-confidence.
Cons:
Inconsistent art style within the same picture (e.g. page 5, the adult faces are an entirely different style to the child's face, and the animals are in another style.)
Inconsistent fonts within pages (e.g. page 6, two different fonts within the same list of affirmations.)
Overall low-quality illustrations. (e.g. page 9, hands and elbows facing the wrong way, head/body angled in a strange way.)
Formatting errors (e.g. page 24, two affirmations on the same line when all others have been one affirmation per line.)
In summary, this book comes across as a low-effort, low-quality product that still needs a lot of work. It's a good concept, but it's not ready for sale. I think the illustrations need to be completely re-done. As it stands, unfortunately, I wouldn't personally buy it or recommend it.
From the moment I started reading it with my child, I could see the positive impact it had on their mindset. The affirmations are so relatable and easy for kids to grasp. It's not just a book; it's a tool that helps children believe in themselves, dream big, and handle challenges with a smile. As a parent, I can't recommend it enough. It's a bedtime ritual in our house now, and I've seen my child grow more resilient and self-assured every day. If you want to empower your child with lifelong skills, this book is a must-read!
I'm always a fan of affirmations and especially integrating them into my children's routine. Both of my boys loved this one!
First of all, I want to thank the author and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was really cute and kept my kiddos interest. (Ages 7 and 8)
This would be a wonderful book to add to your home of school library. I would highly recommend this book.
This would also be a great book to have in your classroom.
