A beautifully written book with two main characters. Jess and Adelaide, Jess being employed as Adelaide’s ghost writer for her memoirs . Set in a beautiful city, which came alive for the reader. The book had an interesting storyline and I couldn’t put it down .

I love Lucy Diamond’s stories, and this is another fabulous book. Beautiful setting, a great lead character and a wonderful storyline. A great read!

I Remember Paris by Lucy Diamond is a captivating and heartwarming novel that transports readers to the magical streets of Paris while weaving a story of second chances, self-discovery, and unexpected friendships. Jess Bright, a single mum feeling stuck in life, leaps at the chance to rekindle her career with a summer writing job in the City of Love. Her subject is the enigmatic and scandalous artist Adelaide Fox, whose story is steeped in mystery, betrayal, and intrigue.
What makes this novel stand out is the rich development of its two main characters. Jess’s journey of rediscovery is deeply relatable, and Adelaide’s larger-than-life persona adds an exciting layer of complexity to the plot. The relationship between the two women - stormy, complex, and ultimately redemptive - provides a beautiful exploration of the ways people can heal old wounds and face their pasts.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Paris, Diamond paints a vivid and romantic picture of the city, which serves as the perfect setting for the novel’s themes of love, passion, and new beginnings. The dual narrative, with its mix of scandal, secrets, and emotional revelations, keeps readers eagerly turning pages.
With heartfelt prose, a touch of scandal, and a dreamy Parisian setting, I Remember Paris is the perfect escape for anyone looking for a feel-good, uplifting story. It’s a beautifully crafted novel about love, loss, and finding yourself, and it’s sure to delight fans of Lucy Diamond and new readers alike.

And another great read
You will laugh and cry
And will keep you turning the pages and not want to put it down

I loved this - a little cliched in places perhaps, but it had it all - a beautiful city, a lead character rediscovering herself, a murder mystery, and lots of broad bold characters. A great read!

Always enjoy a new veil by this author and this was no different! I finished it in one sitting! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this book.

Another Lucy Diamong successful novel which I loved and couldn’t put down. I love stories set in Paris and this one didn’t disappoint. It had an interesting storyline in a wonderful setting. It was a slow burner at the start but soon became a page turner.
I lived in Paris for a year and this meant that I could relate to the main character in some ways leading me to thoroughly enjoy this book.
A great summer read and highly recommended.

I Remember Paris is an enthralling tale of intrigue and mystery centred around the now elusive artist Adelaide Fox. Shutting herself off from the world, Adelaide decides it is time to write her memoir, mainly to exact revenge on those who have done her wrong. She employs Jenn (reluctantly at first) to be her ghost writer. Jenn, a single mother rediscovering her talent now her girls are more independent, is a glass half full kind of person. Adelaide however, is embittered and lonely.
But the relationship these two women develop opens the world back up for Adelaide, and she revisits painful moments in her life with new insights that ultimately lead her to live again.
Beautifully crafted and wonderfully evocative, I Remember Paris is another gem from Lucy Diamond.

an amazing story set in paris following the journeys of 2 women.
adelaide is an 80 year old sassy artist and Jess is the middle aged mum of 3
both have life issues and it their relationship that the book focuses on as Jess writes Adelaide’s memoirs

I love Lucy Diamond books - they are reliably light, they are perfect for picking up and putting down - giving you little rewards along the way.
Holiday reading at its best.

I Remember Paris by Lucy Diamond is a wonderful story about an artist, Adelaide Fox, and her would-be biographer Jess. They are both forced to face up to their pasts: Jess lived in Paris years before and left without closure, and Adelaide harbours many grudges and secrets. This is such an engrossing story and I loved the details of Jess' girl's characters, and Adelaide's dog Jean-Paul. A great summer read!

Lucy diamond writes some of my favourite characters and I really enjoyed being transported to Paris in her latest release.
Her way of writing well rounded and fun character has me hooked, even after all these years of buying her creations.

I love Lucy Diamond books. There's something about her writing that just really engages me. The story was so beautifully written, the characters so well loved. Really enjoyed.

This book carries such a beautiful story, so much so I didn’t want it to end as I was so invested in the delightful well written characters.
Adelaide Fox is an elderly famous artist who lives in Paris with her beloved dog Jean-Paul, who has decided to reveal all in her life memoir –a life steeped in scandal and intrigue.
Jess, a freelance journalist and a recent single mum to 3 girls, is commissioned to travel to Adelaide’s Paris home and write the memoir, a place she once lived a long time ago. Unbeknown to her she is the wrong Jess and Adelaide has reservations whether she is up to the job. It’s a dream job for Jess, who jumps at the chance of such a prestigious opportunity - but it turns into a stormy working relationship as Adelaide is quite a difficult lady who is using her book to settle old scores.
The story covers events from the past for both characters. Including Adelaide’s ex-husband and estranged best friend Margie and Jess’s ex-boyfriend who she still holds a flame for.
This was a brilliant read and I really enjoyed the growth of the characters. It carries a message of accepting the past and moving on, but also forgiveness and second chances for the future.
Highly recommended 5*

Jess is a separated mother of three girls trying to bounce back after losing her agony aunt magazine column. An amazing opportunity arises when she is asked to ghost write the memoirs of the famous artist Adelaide Fox and to revisit the country where she lived some of her younger years. Nervous but excited, she sets off on her journey to Paris to meet Adelaide.
Adelaide is a fiery, unreceptive lady who is hiding secrets. It becomes apparent that she has never dealt with some of the difficulties she faced and decisions she made. Furthermore, she is not going to allow Jess to challenge her on them easily. Jess becoming more intrigued and invested in Adelaide’s life story stands her ground. This helps Adelaide to find an acceptance of the past and allows her to move forward and enjoy her life again.
Bars, restaurants and the sights of Paris set the scene for this both heartbreaking and heart-warming novel. Although I felt it to be a slow burner at the beginning, it soon turned into a page turner as I got further into the life experiences of Adelaide. It’s definitely a good holiday read!
Many thanks to Netgalley and Lucy Diamond for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
