A truly fabulous read. A completely captivating story with a huge dash of intrigue mixed with romance and rediscovery of the past and the self. I loved every page and couldn’t wait to see how it ended. The writing style draws you into the web woven by the characters, making you want more. Great read.
Thank you Netgalley

What a lovely book. Not your typical romance book. But one that focuses on journalism, being a single parent and trying to enjoy life along the way.
It was beautiful the way the story revealed itself. There were lots of flashbacks along the way as our journalist starts to interview a famous artist for her memoir.
But our journalist shouldn’t be there. Can she persuade the family to let her stay and finish the job?

Jess is a freelance writer who is on the lookout for more work when she is thrilled to be asked to Paris to ghost write the autobiography of Adelaide Fox, a renowned artist. Leaving her three teenage daughters with her separated husband, David, she sets off to Paris.
Things do not start well. Adelaide is a cranky and bad tempered and does not take to Jess. But with Adelaide's nephew, Luc's help, gradually Adelaide begins her story.
A bit of a slow start but I did like the characters and cared what happened to them..

A wonderful story full of the wonder of Paris and the adventure of life as an artist in England in the 50's and 60's. Jess tries to please everyone, and Adelaide is the opposite. So working together to write Adelaide's memoirs is never going to be smooth sailing. Together they bring out each others best and worst while exploring their pasts and discovering things may not have been the same as they remember them. Full of great characters and interesting back stories, this is another good one from this author.

Having read Lucy Diamond’s books before, I was excited to see what this once had to offer and wasn’t disappointed.
It was fun, heartfelt, descriptive and transported you to the story so you felt like you were in Paris too.
Was it a little predictable? Yes. Did I mind? Not at all because it was a feel good book but with a bit of depth to it too.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Unfortunately I didn't really get on with this book, I really struggled to like any of the characters and it just didn't retain my interest so it was a bit of a chore to finish it. I wanted to like this so much but, for me, it just fell short.

I Remember Paris
Lucy Diamond
Lucy is an auto-buy author for me, I can't think of a book written by her that I haven't liked.
I devoured this beautiful story following Adelaide Fox, a renowned British artist now living in Paris wanting to find someone to write her memoir, and Jess who gave up a promising career as a journalist to raise her three daughters, in their teens now and no longer need mum as much. When Jess gets an invite from Adelaide to visit her in Paris, she thinks this could be her second chance at the career she gave up.
Although things get off to a bit of a sticky start as this Jess is the wrong Jess, but the mistake is made and the women see if they can make a go of things anyway.
We travel to the past with Adelaide’s memoir and whilst Adelaide relives her life and loves, Jess is also remembering a time when she lived in the beautiful city of Paris.
I absolutely loved this story, the characters Lucy writes so well it makes you want to know everything about them.
The descriptive writing of both Kent and Paris made me feel as if I was with Jess. I like the fact that Lucy writes about second chances and the book is based purely on romance but there are relationships that are built in later life that can become some of the most important relationships, and that no matter where you are in life there is alway room for more friendships and self discovery and it’s never too late.

I always enjoy this authors books and the setting in Paris was particularly engaging. I was caught up with these characters and their stories - curl up with a cup of tea and chocolate biscuit and enjoy..

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.
Jess is a single mom of three recently separated from her husband, who is ready to restart her career. She agrees to take part in writing a memoir for Adelaide Fox. Adelaide is an artist who wants to tell the story of her life in her own words getting revenge on whoever has crossed her over her 70+ years.
The book takes you on a trip down memory lane into Adelaide’s past that also allows Jess to do the same.

I always enjoy Lucy Diamond and this was no exception. Her stories are always well told, easy to read and this one conjured up the wonderful atmosphere of Paris. The tale was warm and engaging and an enjoyable read.

I loved being in Paris whilst reading this book. I loved getting to know Adelaides character and really connected to her. Loved the ending. Felt that it tied it up neatly.

I love a Lucy Diamond book I always find them so easy to read.
This story was set in Paris which I loved it was enjoyable and easy to read.
A great holiday read

This is one of my all time favourite authors so I couldn’t wait to get stuck into reading and an added bonus was that it was set in Paris which is one of my favourite places to read about and also a place that I personally love.
The author takes the reader on a journey through the streets of Paris and makes you feel like you are there and I loved the story of Jess the journalist and her quest to find out Adelaide’s story and how both characters have to face there pasts to allow them to love forwards.
This was a beautiful and emotional read and had me captivated from the beginning.

A charming story of second chances and self-discovery. This book follows journalist Jess and renowned artist Adelaide as they work on Adelaide's memoir. Initially, their working relationship is stormy. But as the collaboration forces them to confront their pasts, they build up trust and even learn from each other. Overall, an entertaining read with a touch of mystery set against the beautiful backdrop of Paris.
I got this arc in exhange for an honest review.

Absolutely loved this new book from Lucy Diamond it was quite an addictive read.
Well written with well developed characters this one really grabbed my attention from beginning to end.
Not your normal romance novel as it had an unusual crime mystery vibe to it too.
I loved how the story developed & held my interest throughout .
Jess Bright a single mum & journalist feels her life is stalled & going nowhere..
She has been offered a chance to go to Paris to write the life story of the iconic artist Adelaide Fox .
Adelaide Fox is approaching 80 so she wants to tell her story & get revenge on a few people into the bargain.
She is no stranger to scandal but the time has come to bring things out into the open.
Adelaide Fox is not an easy person to work for so Jess has her work cut out.
This is quite a multi layered intriguing story of betrayal & second chances.
Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I do love a Lucy Diamond book. Jess Bright, a single mum & journalist, is asked to ghost-write the life of Adelaide Fox, a famous artist. This wonderful experience happens in Paris, a place where Jess worked in a hotel many years before. The relationship between Jess & Adelaide is stormy to say the list but things improve. Both women relook at their lives & secrets come to a fore. Great characters & story which is what Lucy Diamond always delivers.
Highly recommended read!

I have recently read and thoroughly enjoyed books by Lucy Diamond and this was no different. In comparison to the others this felt more serious, although there was still a background of humour.
Our main characters are Jess, divorced mum of three teenage girls and Adelaide, older lady who was once a famous artist now living in Paris.
Jess is invited to help ghost write a book outlining the best and worst of Adelaide’s life and career, which she hopes to use as a tool of revenge against those who have slighted her in the past. After a tricky start the couple forge ahead and along the way some lifelong memories are reviewed with a different light.
Well written and a god balance of humour and seriousness, as the book covers some quite dark subjects. I particularly liked Jess and her interactions with Adelaide and her own daughters; there are some laugh and cry moments with both.
Highly recommended.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have loved this author for years now, ever since i read her ‘Beach Cafe’ series of books and fell in love with them. So when i came across this book it was an instant no brainer and i just knew that I HAD to read it!
I was pulled in right from the very beginning and i very quickly found myself becoming more and more immersed in the story and i absolutely loved it.
This was such a wonderful, heartwarming story that was beautifully written and as it was set in PAris it was, of course, perfect for some armchair travel…….
