Another trip to the Lake District and this time it's the story of Rosie and her mum.
Loved this and couldn't put it down. Cannot wait for the next in the series.
I have never read a book by Jessica Redland before so was excited to get started after hearing lots of positive comments about her novels. This book is the second book in The Lakes series but can be read as a standalone.
The story focuses on Rosie and her Mum who live in the Lake District with Rosie working at Willowdale Hall riding stables. They both have lots of problems to overcome ( no spoilers)
I enjoyed the way the story went back to the past at points and I felt this really added to the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I liked the characters and felt like I was right there with them and was willing Rosie and her Mum to be happy. I also found the setting just perfect.
An excellent story, I can’t wait to read the first one in the series and I definitely can’t wait for the next one after the endings cliffhanger
Thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Jessica Redland for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
I could not put this book down - a story full of strong characters, mystery, love, romance and horses and dogs. The romances were flourishing and some of the mysteries had been solved, when suddenly I reached the end. What a disappointment. Can’t wait for the next book. An excellent read.
