The Bingo Hall cozy series is an excellent one and it's always a pleasure to catch up with the characters and be involved their investigations.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Yet another brilliant novel by Jonathan Whitelaw.
It was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Amita and Jason again, as well as their family and friends.
Whitelaw has a very specific knack for capturing characters exquisitely, his time as a journalist obviously making him attuned to people and their habits, foibles and weaknesses.
Cleverly plotted with the perfect balance of humour and darkness, Whitelaw has once again proved himself a master of cosy crime.

I really enjoy this series where Jason and his mother in law Amitra keep getting thrown together to solve murders . This turns it’s Amitra’s turn to find a body right when they were in the middle of trying to watch filming of a local movie. Despite being told to keep out of this high profile murder they can’t help themselves and with Amitra’s network of local knowledge and Jason’s skill at being in the wrong place at the right time they find themselves in too deep

My first book by this author, and whilst it is part of a series it can easily be read as a standalone book. I'm not a big fan of cosy crime, but I liked the sound of this one. We head up to the Lake District with the cast and crew of a TV crime series. The locals are loving having them around and are following the filming with interest. When one of the crew is murdered however, the locals find themselves in the middle of a real life crime drama!

This was an enjoyable read! The main characters are fun to meet and I particularly liked Amita and her son-in-law, Jason who team up to help solve the murder. The storyline flowed along well, although for me it was a little slow in parts. The location of the Lake District was particularly stunning and providing the ideal backdrop for the storyline. It wasn't my usual choice of read, but it was likeable and I would recommend.

The Concert Hall Killer is the brilliant latest entry in this series by Jonathan Whitelaw. Enormous fun and some great twists for our amateur detective duo to unravel!

Amita and journalist son-in-law Jason are back in the follow on to The Bingo Hall Detectives, and on the trail of another killer.. This time a film crew have been shooting prime time drama The Locus locally. It's not longer until the larger than life director Simon is found slain on the front steps of the concert hall. With the cast and crew all under suspicion, can Amita and Jason get to the truth.

The Concert Hall Killer is great. It's cosy crime but with an edge. There's plenty to find out about the main characters and how their own stories intwine with what's happening in the present. Amita and Jason might be an unlikely crime fighting duo but they're a pleasure to read about.
