4/5 stars

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers, and Rachel Hilz for allowing me to read and review this book.

This was such a cute story about a brother and sister stumbling upon bigfoot footprints that lead straight to his cave. Bigfoot then chases them, the siblings are in for a wild ride off the beaten trail.

This book was cute and funny and I will definitely be getting it to read to my future children.

A cute story that shows the power of the imagination that’s kids brains encompass our brains are the things that can provide so much entertainment if we let them!

I want Bigfoot’s fantastic hair.. Easy, Breezy, Bigfoot.

I just know that children are going to love this. It’s a really cute and fun little story of girls who venture into the woods and run into Bigfoot himself. ✨Living my dream. ✨ The story is very unique and full of imagination.

The ending of this wanted something with a bit of extra oomph, but that's only because it's actually pretty decent quality throughout. Two siblings discover a very suspicious footprint, and so follow it into the world of the Bigfoot – but when they need to skedaddle it back out of there, the environments that tormented them on the way conspire to erase all signs of their ordeal, leading to a situation where there's no evidence and no belief in all the drama they've faced. The fact this is done in the tidiest of rhyming verses, and with pretty decent, colourful and characterful art, all makes this a strong four stars – especially if you have a fondness for the Bigfoot character and/or live close to her/him. It's definitely a lively enough read for anyone else to have a look, too.

I really love it when you can find a fun, playful story that somehow sneaks in a great message for my little ones without them even noticing. This book did just that. My 4 year old adores all things monster, and bigfoot was perfect for this adventure. In this story a brother and sister find giant footprints and just know it has to be Bigfoot. They are in for some fun adventures as they try to track him down to his cave only to end up being chased by him. We love how the two children face all kinds of obstacles there and back home and the fun illustrations are a guide to their imagination. Once they are cleaned all is well. I love that this story encourages imagination and teaches children that beauty is all around. Everyone sees beauty in their own way. Even Bigfoot has beauty, they just had to look for it. This is a great book to enjoy as a family and let your imaginations run. Encourage your little ones to follow their imagination and continue the story on their own. This always works wonderfully in an early childhood or elementary classroom. Enjoy your adventure.

This book’s illustrations were beautifully done. It was bright and colorful on each and every page. The story was cute and imaginative but I feel like the ending lacked a bit. Still a recommend .

This one felt very similar to "We are going on a bear hunt". The story rhymed nicely and I enjoyed the illustrations.

This was a cute picture book with easy rhymes about a couple of kids who find a big footprint and go chasing after Bigfoot. No fear! The only thing I didn't like was how there was no resolution, and there appear to be sequels to this little picture book. Kids might like it a lot, primary age and middle school kids who want to practice reading. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

This was a funny book. A great adventure book. My three year old son was having so much fun. And keep saying run run run.

I really loved the art style in this book. I would love to get this book for my son's bookshelves.

I enjoyed the story of the siblings on a chase for Big Foot and how they are chased back in a funny way. The pictures are nice and the rhythm of the story flows well.
However, it was not a hit with my grandson who is 6. I had to replace some of the words as they were a little difficult for him and this broke the flow a bit. He got spooked by the story and the ending left him with many questions. This had the benefit of engaging him in a discussion but I could see that he was a bit uncomfortable with the story.
I still think the book is very nice, maybe for older kids.

A brother and sister, off in the woods, following tracks that lead the to Bigfoot and back home again. What an adventure, right? The idea was fun, but the execution was a bit lacking for me. While I love a story in verse, something about the timings (and rhyming) of this one didn't quite work and I think that might have impacted my enjoyment of the story and that of my kids' as I was struggling to find a rhythm to read it to them. Overall, really cute...it just missed a bit in the overall telling of the story.

I thought that this was a really cut little children's picture book!

The story is about two children who go on a search for Bigfoot and the caper that ensues after they have to run to safety. The book is really well written and easy to follow and it has a lovely rhyming style to the writing.

The illustrations were lovely and really suited the story.

It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended!

This is the second book that Hasti, my 8-year-old cousin and I read to improve her English.

I think the younger readers might enjoy The Great Bigfoot Chase by Rachel Hilz too. The story is about a sibling who follow the huge footprint into the wood.

Thank you BooksGoSocial via NetGalley for ARC, Hasti gave it 4-star and we have given our honest review.

This was a okay story but I really didn't like the art style and my kids weren't super engaged. It wasn't great reading it out loud and I was hoping for something a bit more spooky.

This cute picture book tells the tale of two children’s search for Bigfoot and then the chase as they run to safety. It is told with two sets of catchy repetitive rhyme, one for tracking and a different fast paced one for the chase. The book would be ideal for story time with little ones. It is reminiscent of “Going on a Bear Hunt”. This retelling with Bigfoot will capture the attention of modern young children. But this version also has a cute twist at the end that readers will find amusing. The illustrations by Stephanie Lumayno are paint a vivid picture of the wilderness scenery and the lively action toward the end.

I received a review copy e-book from the publishers, Books Go Social through NetGalley. I recommend this book for preschool teachers and librarians as well as families with 4-8 year olds.

I imagine this book acted out as it’s being read aloud. I’m remembering fun times acting out “going on a bear hunt” with a group of children. This book will captivate young readers who like Bigfoot stories. The illustrations are a lot of fun and the text rhymes just right.

This was a great rhyming book about chasing Bigfoot! Reminiscent of the classic Going on a Bear Hunt, two siblings follow Bigfoot’s footprints through lots of different terrain until they find him. Then it’s time to run back through it all to escape Bigfoot as he chases them. As a fun surprise twist, going backwards causes them to go from disheveled to clean and pressed! So cute!

This was a fun book to read with my son. Bigfoot is a very popular “myth” here in Oregon. The story flowed well and the text was rhythmical. The illustrations were fun, especially the Bigfoot with flowing hair.
