I love a good bubble tea, and I have been looking into making them at home because finding on where I live isn't always easy. Kawaii Cafe Bubble Tea by Stacey Kwong and Beyah del Mundo, is an awesome cookbook for anyone interested in creating their own at home. Instead of just being a collection of recipes, they take the time to explain what bubble tea is, as well as how to make every part of the drinks in the book. It does require some special equipment/ingredients, but I think most people looking for this kind of cookbook will not be surprised by that. From brewing the tea to creating the jellies to decorate the drinks, you can find directions for everything in this book. The drink recipes all look delicious and the illustrations are very cute.
If you're someone who is truly interested in making bubble tea at home, and are willing to sit down and really do a great job at it, this is an excellent place to start!
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher and author for allowing me an advance copy.

This is adorable! I love this and it makes me want to have all of the boba teas! I love the simplicity and the easy to follow instructions on every page. Magnificent!

This book is adorable! Not only does it have a wide range of fun unique recipes but it also has the most adorable illustrations! If you’re a bubble tea fan and want to try making your own this is a must buy!

This was the cutest book I’ve ever seen! From the illustrations to the recipes, I loved everything about this. Can’t wait to try all the cute recipes in my own home-café.

Omg!!! If this is not the cutest book ever! Bubble tea is such a big trend right now and I love how thorough this book is in every section and every recipe. Giving the “sweetness percentages” was absolutely smart.
And the drawings!!! What a beautiful and vibrant book. Will definitely be purchasing a physical copy for my kitchen/

This is an adorable cookbook with pretty simple-to-follow recipes. The recipes set up the reader to work through some trial and error, but when it comes to teas, a lot of stuff is up to personal taste. The recipes not only set up the reader to create some delicious teas, but with some skills that can help with other flavored beverages and maybe some sweets as well. This book will be best for individuals less experienced in the kitchen, and as someone much more experienced it is a cute addition to the cookbook collection, maybe even the art collection.

Kawaii Cafe Bubble Tea is a cookbook and basic introduction to boba(bubble) tea. Before getting to recipes, the book first introduces the reader to the origin of boba tea. Then it gives a list of essential equipment, a “Tea 101” page explaining different types of tea used in boba and how to brew them, and “Boba 101” and how to make it. Then there are pages about various creamers and sweeteners. I appreciated that the authors talked about their opinions about the pros and cons between different types of ingredients. Later they also include a page about how to make taro paste.
The book discusses how to brew each type of tea before going into the more complicated bubble tea recipes. There’s directions for how to brew prepackaged thai tea as well as a recipe for homemade thai tea. There are sections of recipes for fruit teas, milk teas, specialty drinks (that might not include tea), and “sip n’ dips”(which include ice cream). All ingredients needed are easily available or things you probably already have at home.
In the Fruit Tea section, I loved the idea of making jam or syrup to use for my tea, rather than using artificial fruit syrup! I think that you could find many recipes online for boba with artificial syrup, but the fact that the authors of this book chose to suggest making natural syrup makes the recipes feel more natural, personal to them, and special.
Lastly there is a section that discusses various toppings that work in the drinks.
I really enjoy this recipe book and I can’t wait to try it. The illustrations as well as the entire pages themselves are adorable and fun. I will be contacting the publisher to ask for a physical copy.

I really enjoyed this book. Cute with really detailed recipes. I am big fan of boba drinks and wanted to try them at home, but most of the tutorials seemed to be to hard (at least for me). Now, I have this cutie and I will give them a try. This book have everything, how to properly brew a tea, how to make your boba, what kind of equipment you need, even recipe for syrups , jams etc! P.S. wish me luck when I will be trying to recreate "Lady Bug" ;)

I adore bubble tea, but let's be real, buying it can burn a hole in your pocket. And if you try to make it at home without the right recipe, well, let's just say it can turn out pretty disastrous, making you doubt your cooking chops big time.
That's why when I got my hands on this book, I didn't even think twice. The book's got this super cute, anime-inspired vibe that had me all warm and fuzzy inside. What's even cooler is that it takes you from the absolute basics, and it's chock-full of these adorable little drawings that'll keep your eyes glued to the page.
The instructions are crystal clear, and they don't leave any room for messing up. I breezed through the whole thing in just 20 minutes, and now I'm itching to try making my own bubble tea at home. It's so darn perfect that I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy once it's out.
*Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for providing the eARC in exchange for a review, but all thoughts are my own*

Such a cute read. I actually learned a lot about syrups and fruits and jams. I like the illustrations as well as how they named the drinks. This was an interesting look into a bubble tea and the best and creative ways to make it. Thank you.
Thanks to NetGalley the publishers for the arc.

I saw this and knew I had to read it. There are so many fun drinks in here I want to try. The recipes are pretty simple and give great hints and tips to help you get the best results. The pictures are so cute and everything looks so good!

This is the CUTEST recipe book ever. My 9 year old granddaughter is obsessed with bubble tea and she loves creating her own things. I am going to purchase the actual book for her when it is published - she is absolutely going to love this one.
Great recipes, colours in the book and easy to follow instructions. I also cannot wait to try some of these drinks. My mouth was salivating reading the recipes!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for this electronic advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is a very cute recipe book on how to master the art of bubble tea making. The illustrations were adorable and the recipes were easy to follow. I tried out the green milk tea because that is the only recipe that I had ingredients for. It was delicious. Thank you! I loved the dedication in the book haha! I’m proud of you my fellow Asian sister! You go girl!

Absolutely adorable illustrations, easy to follow recipes and a world of fun to have with new boba adventures on every page.
Bubble tea is amazing but it can be expensive- and the risk of trying something new if you don’t like it doesn’t always feel worth it.
But this recipe book makes it safe to try new things and to make an experience out of it along the way.

What a wonderful recipe book for boba! The illustrations are incredibly adorable and cute, and the recipes are laid out concisely and accessibly for the home kitchen. It's so hard to find a laid out recipe book for milk teas, toppings, and recommendations and recipes on how to add them together smoothly that this book covers it all. This book would make the perfect Christmas gift and a great addition to your aesthetic cookbook shelf!

The perfect book for bubble tea lovers. The pairing of the illustrations with the directions is such a great way to keep the reader engaged. As someone who loves food drawings, I truly adored looking at all these adorable bubble tea illustrations. The colours are soo aesthetic. Can we just give some credit to the combination of cats and drinks because it's such a neat idea. Overall, this was a heartwarming read and I would love to create these drinks some time.

This is the cutest recipe book I've ever seen! I'm excited to try many of the recipes here, and I'm inspired to try making boba from scratch.
Thank you to the authors for such a detailed and instructive, yet adorable, recipe book! I'll enjoy making these for my family.

As someone who loves boba, this book is awesome and adorable. I actually want to try to make my own now. So cute!

Short (65 pages) but beautifully cute book.
My favorite beautiful picture is the little kiwi cat on the side of the drink on page 52.
Some of the smoothies are pleasant and tart. Most rely on making a specific jam ahead of time (e.g. pomelo or kiwi jam) enabling a quicker start for the smoothie once one has the jam made but it takes an extra step of effort to make the “blend and drink” simpler later.
Little details like the “science of ice” make one appreciate the quest for the perfect smoothie. It goes through the basics of different bases and the basics of making “grade A” boba. While it’s cute it’s not simple for kids to make without adult supervision but the art is definitely kawaii. Collectible for boba tea lovers.

this is so cute! the cover really caught my attention, so i tried some of the recipes. i think these are easy to follow and delicious! highly recommend.
