This book was lots of fun. It feels, and looks like it was written by a child, but reads like it was written by an adult who knows how to tell a story. Put those two things together in this is a magically wonderful read. Taking it a step further, the author made this a “choose your own adventure” type of book and it all works together incredibly well. This is one of those books that may look self-published, but a big five publisher needs to look and snatch this up. Libraries need this in our catalogs.
Thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this for my students. Honestly, I think this book was trying too hard to get the students' attention and in addition there is a random choose your own adventure portion that was okay but unnecessary. Overall, I think it was a good try, but I don't recommend this. 2 out of 5 stars
A little hard to read as an ebook because of the page jumping but a delightful, create-your-own-ending style story about a cute cowboy.
A delightful children's book that takes young readers on a thrilling adventure with the Purple Cowboy. The story is engaging, with a touch of interactive storytelling that allows readers to make decisions that impact the outcome.
With its charming illustrations and captivating narrative, this book is perfect for kids who love a mix of adventure and decision-making. It encourages critical thinking and problem-solving while providing an exciting and enjoyable reading experience. The Purple Cowboy in Jolly Old England is a great read for young adventurers looking to join the Purple Cowboy on a quest to rescue the princess.

I liked the idea behind this book and that it was one which gave the reader choices to see how the story would go – a great idea
The illustrations suited the book, they weren’t the best that I have seen but they did work with the story overall. It was easy to read and follow but its one that we would only read twice – to see how the story would go taking the different routes.
It is 3.5 stars from me for this one, rounded up to 4 stars for Goodreads and Amazon.
