Gripping psychological thriller with unexpected twist that hooked me instantaneously & kept me on the edge. Great narration!
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the ARC.
Mark was a pilot. He was accused to murder a British young lady in Barcelona. The young lady was his colleague, but Mark said he was innocent.
Kate who married to Mark. She trusted her husband, but still she knew he was not totally honest. Mark was hiding secrets.
Later Mark had a car accident and got coma. The police said it was an accident but was that true?
The whole story was strongly focused on Kate. Her own POV. Therefore I had to be patient to wait for the reveal, whether Mark was innocent or he’s guilty. The narrator did a great job to create the whole creepy vibe. The tone and pace were perfect for this thriller.
For me this was a slow-burnt thriller. It went faster in the second half of the book. The twist at the end was surprising!

Kate and Mark have a young son Jacob. Mark is a pilot and when he is questioned about a women he knew who was killed things start to unwind and get crazy.
Next he is an accident and found by a farmer and is in a medically induced coma. The police believe Mark killed the woman. Kate believes her husband is innocent but still feels he is hiding something.
Kate controls the narrative and I could not wait to find out if Mark was guilty! His colleagues show up at their door and they add another layer to see fast paced Psychological thriller.
Available November 20. Thank you Netgalley and Bookouture for this advanced copy.

Psychological thriller from Hell!
Kate is a doc (in the ER I believe). Her husband Mark is an airline pilot. They have a little boy…and what seems like the perfect life. But one night, while Kate is waiting for Mark to come home, the police arrive instead…wanting to ask him some questions about where he was the night one of his colleagues was murdered?!
As Kate starts to put all the pieces together, she begins to doubt her husband…but he’s not capable of murder. Is he??
And then he is involved in an accident. Was it intentional? What is going on???
We meet Mark’s best friend Robert, and what appears to be his girlfriend, Olivia. They are there to help Kate while she is going thru all of this…and to help with her son. But Kate doesn’t really know Olivia…but she does trust Robert.
And then we take some weird turns…
Some things that I definitely would not have put up with, but maybe, if I was in that situation and really needed the help? Maybe I would… not sure?…
Lots of twists and turns. Many I did not see coming. Some i did.
But the last half hour or so…OMG!!
Thanks to #NetGalley and #Bookouture Audio for an ARC of the audiobook which will be released on November 20th.

Excellent! I couldn’t put it down! I was going back and forth. Did he do it? Did she do it? Did they both? Did they all do it? There were definitely times when Kate didn’t respond the way I thought she should, but then I’d think about all the true crime podcasts I’ve listened to and how sometimes omission is the only way to protect yourself and others. Liz Lawler is a new-to-me author that I will 100% read again!
Narration notes:
This is my first time listening to Gabrielle, and I very much enjoyed her. I will be searching for more books that she has narrated! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
*Thank you to the author, Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review*
Finally, a real page turner that had me up till 3AM to finish. Truly so many twists and turns though I did have an initial suspect for the real villain pretty early on. Pretty well paced, but the middle dragged on a bit and I definitely found myself skimming during that part.
Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the arc in exchange for a fair and honest review.
That was an absolutely jam-packed thriller! Lots going on, and there are so many suspects to keep you changing your mind throughout, while eagerly looking for the next potential clue. I loved the main character of Kate and I think I genuinely felt every single emotion she did, which is always a sign of excellent writing coupled with skilled narrating.
My Husband’s Lies grabbed me hook, line, and sinker! A fast paced psychological thriller with twists on every page.
A husband on the verge of being arrested for the murder of a woman, but then said husband gets run down and ends up in the hospital. Meanwhile their young son is being looked after by a friend of the family, and a dangerous divide starts to creep in between them all.
The characters were great and pretty relatable. I just could not for the life of me figure out who the bad guy was, and it had a fantastic ending.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture Audio for this advanced audio copy in return for my honest opinion.
