I'm not sure what happened but this book never showed up on my kindle, therefore I am unable to review at this time. It is a book I will be purchasing though so a review will come!
Thank you
I wasn’t really a fan of the characters or the storyline in The Girl in Seat 2A. Jade, the main character, just didn’t do it for me—she was a bit too dull, and I found it hard to care about her journey. The book did pick up when we got to Martha’s point of view, though. Her chapters had more energy, and things definitely got a little more interesting and spicy. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t super memorable either. Three stars for being an okay read, but not one that kept me hooked.
Another great read from this author
Plenty of twists to keep you turning the pages
And it will keep you guessing
Thanks NetGalley
A book that took me no time at all to read as once I was invested in it I couldn't put it down. Jade hates flying and will only book seat 2A but her luck has changed, she has won the lotto and now she she is living the dream. Or is she and what will happen on this crazy rollercoaster of a ride?
Sounds all rather boring and normal but trust me it is not what you think and is a great and thrilling plane ride and more. I enjoyed this book and found it intriguing and thrilling and was very entertained by the life of Jade and there is so much going on in this book you need to keep up. A great pace and a great read.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
Fantastic! I found myself reading this book at every opportunity I had. Perfectly written and utterly captivating. You HAVE to read this book!
The Girl in Seat 2A is one of those thrillers that has you gripped from the first page and screaming at Jade not to do it. It has so many twists. It’s like being on a rollercoaster. You just get your breath back, and there is another twist. The dual narrative in which the story is told only makes you become even more immersed in the plot. A jaw-dropping read!
An enjoyable, keeps you guessing book, it is enjoyable, and the author ties things together well. I definitely recommend it.
I was unsure what to expect from this book as the plot description was a bit vague. As I started the book events soon became clear and I had an idea in my head where the plot would go. Unfortunately I was right and I do think this book could have benefited from some twists and turns to make it a more enthralling read. Having said this I did enjoy the read and found it to be an easy book to read.
The characters were okay, they were good for the story and served their role however none of them were particularly likeable people that I could connect with.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an advance copy.
Reading Between the Wines book review #35/130 for 2024:
Rating: 4 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷
Book: The Girl in Seat 2A
Author: Diana Wilkinson
Available now!
Sipping thoughts: Lies, Money and Greed!! I’ve heard of Who Wants to be a Millionaire but this read was more like Who Wants to Pretend to be an Millionaire. Because of all the pretending and lies, we got to go on a journey where the future was so uncertain and even turning the page, I could not imagine what was about to happen. I always enjoy Wilkinson’s book and this one did not disappoint.
Cheers and thank you to @BoldwoodBooks and @Netgalley for an advanced copy of @TheGirlinSeat2A.

Loved this book and at one point wondered where this story was going….a girl pretending to have won the lottery windfall and living out her dream…a handsome guy who seems to live a lavish lifestyle. Ex girls holding a grudge….it seemed to have a bit of everything. The characters are just so well written and realistic, the tension is built so effectively and you really do have no idea where the storyline is going or what the outcome is going to be! It has the twist, turns and surprises that you'd expect and the plot is constantly moving forward which I loved! I enjoyed every second of this one!!!
I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t put it down! So twisty, and I never saw them coming. What a great story. At first the book is told from the protagonist’s perspective and the second part of the book some of it is told from another character’s perspective, but you’ll totally get why when you get there. It was so interesting to see it written from both sides. This book gets all the stars and I can’t wait for it to come out so I can recommend it to all of my psychological thriller readers! Thank you for letting me read this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was not incentivized to write a good review, this is just me being honest. You’re going to love this one!
This is the perfect summer read. It’s fast paced, engrossing, has intriguing characters and plenty of twists and turns.
I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend.
A racy gripping book about Jade, who goes to Spain appearing a millionaire and meets a man…..twists and turns all round!
The Girl in Seat 2A really delivered on excitement and energy. A compulsive read it will keep you on your toes wondering what’s around the corner.
Told by 2 POV's that being Jade and Marta. Good twists and turns and a great ending. I will definitely be looking at reading more of her books.
Jade sets off on holiday to Marbella hoping to join the mega rich and carve out a better life for herself. She has had a windfall but isn't exactly as rich as she pretends to be, but no-one needs to know that, because she's 'faking it to make it'!
The book is narrated partly by Jade herself and later by Marta, a local housekeeper. Nothing is as it seems and the plot twists really keep you guessing. There wasn't one character who was likeable or relatable but the suspense builds well and the ending does not disappoint.
An intriguing psychological thriller about money , greed and power with characters you dare not trust.
Completely addictive and unputdownable….
Wilkinson has done it again and what a gem this is. I knew from reading this author previously, it would be good. However, this has completely exceeded my expectations from the beginning.
This is completely brilliant and addictive. It definitely has it all. There is a super creepy character- I’ve felt the unease, which really adds an element to this one.
This is brilliantly descriptive and really paints a picture. You can’t help but feel you have been transported by this book.
Jade has been a good character. Although, I’ve rolled my eyes many times as I’ve read this one. I love that Wilkinson whisks us off to Spain. It’s just the read I’d needed.
This book has been an addictive read. I devoured this in just one sitting. I absolutely will be recommending this one.

The twists and turns, mystery and suspenseful surprises make for a fascinating read.
The storyline follows the main character Jade initially, then Marta takes over for her take on events with an unexpected twist to end the story.
Jade comes into some money and takes herself on a holiday, even though she doesn’t like flying. Jade’s fears are quashed by alcohol and a friendly person who helps her when she’s unwell.
The scene is set for a holiday romance with Isaac, they go out a few times and then it seems like the relationship’s developing. Jade seems to be taken in by Isaac, then becomes more aware of his controlling nature.
Marta is Isaac’s housekeeper, she has seen a lot more than she cares to, the storyline grows into a more complex believable mystery from this point. Jade appears to be shut off from reality and not seeing the danger she is facing.
The suspense builds towards the ending and the author does a great job of explaining how the different stories piece together.
Thanks so much to the publisher, NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read this book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This plot was MIND-BLOWING. I loved this writing style and the creative plot. This book was pretty twisty with the biggest curve ball thrown at the end! I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller.
