I love the idea of this reading journal and am so glad it exists! It's really well done, but it's not right for my own style of tracking my reading.
A cute reading journal! I will definitely be using it to track my reads going forward and helping to stay on top of that NetGalley ratio :)
Thanks to Netgalley for a chance to honestly review this.
As we all try to find the best way to capture our reads each year, physically or digitally, this is a nice template to use or model after. With a simple but very useable setup, you can use this journal to keep track of your reads, reviews, and ratings easily. I personally liked this as a digital journal but that's not to say you can't print it out and use it that way. There is enough space to add any doodles, stickers, and other color to make it your own. I gave it a 3/5 solely because it is solid, but I don't see myself using it.
This was actually really fun to look through. I've been thinking about starting a reading journal and this has given me a lot of ideas.
I like the idea of a reading journal. I think I am more of a physical journaler but I'll give this a go on my iPad. If nothing else, it can be a placeholder for the info I want to put into a real notebook.
Thank you for the gift, NetGalley.
An amazing reading journal. Easy to use and does what it has to do! I love the different formats and pages and the sticker packages that you can download.
Absolutely love this little journal! So organized and cute. A lovely way to keep track of books and reviews.
Only downside is that I had the digital version and I would much rather have a physical copy so I can flip pages and write with colorful pens and have fun with it! But that's more of a personal preference than an actual critique of the journal itself.
While I keep a physical reading journal that I decorate and write in, I liked giving this one a try. The color schemes are beautiful and I like all the different pages that keep you engaged with your reading. Like the A - Z challenge to expand your bookshelf and the bingo page to get you to explore the NetGalley site more. The monthly review pages has all the essential parts to get the most out of your reviews and reading. It's something I absolutely would have paid for
I always love a good book journal! works great on my ipad and i love the aesthetic! Simple to use, but still tasteful and enjoyable for the eyes!
Love this so much! Thank you so much for providing us book reviewers with a means to do this digitally. Appreciate you all at NetGalley!
This is fantastic! Thank you We Are Bookish and NetGalley for creating this! What a cool thing to do for your users!
I look forward to using this journal!
Cute and useful! Love that this was offered to all reviewers for free to use in 2024. Thanks NetGalley
I like how simple and customizable this journal is. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and have found the addition of pictures and stickers sections useful since I don't have to go out of the journal to look for any pictures to add. The review pages were a bit confusing at first because of the beginning/end of year part of the questions to recap. I think it would be better to add a recap section for the whole year at the end of the journal (the already added sections are fun too) with total books read, favorite authors, stats on book types and genre, and other totals that might help the reader see how they did during the year. Also, a mini recap for the end of each month would be nice if it were it's own section at the end of each month section, it would make it easier for knowing if we met our reading goals or if we need to make adjustments to our goals/habits.
I like the habit tracker section because it is simple and has all the habits in one place. I'm not big on keeping habits but seeing them all in one place makes a difference in how I approach them.
I also appreciate the "best of the year" section since I recently became familiar with the brackets reading activity.
The bingo is also nice even though I haven't filled it up because of my own perception of what counts for each square or not.
A reading tracker page would be nice because each month you can review what you read but you can have a log for what you couldn't finish and will transfer to the following month. The tracker/log can be a simple table with "title/author/pages read/finished?" sections.
Overall the journal has been useful to me for having a way of knowing how much reading I'm doing and recording my thoughts on said reading, but it could still do better in helping visualize how much reading improvement I can do or recap each month of reading easily.
I am not much of a journal Person. This one is nice and is a great tool for those who like to use them. Thanks
This journal was so fun to explore. It has many features that were cool and perfect for bookworms. If you like digital journals this one might be for you!
I was looking to get into a digital reading journal and this was perfect!! Thank you so so much NetGalley.
The Netgalley reading journal is a must for every book nerd. It's beautifully constructed and works really well in combination with my tablet. I like how easy it is to use. Plus it's really beautifully designed. Thanks to the journal, I can always see and track the books I have read. It's just fun
What an amazing tool to have on hand to keep up with the books you have read! I appreciate having this tool because it keeps all my information in one place and helps it all stay organized.
This journal was great! I liked it and will use it. I liked the fun little add in’s for fun and the book bracket.
A brilliant little journal to keep track of the books you have reviewed and you can jot down your thoughts on your current book as you are reading it. Great for getting everything organised.
