“NetGalley Reading Journal” published by We Are Bookish
Interesting and I am sure I know people who would love this.. But I have developed my own system for logging my reading that works well for me. From what I have gathered so far I would need to acquire the app to upload this PDF into … learning to navigate the new app and this PDF application = too much like work for me. If I had the time to play and an artsy inclination…. This could be a dream come true. There are sticker bundles to make your journal uniquely yours, too.
You will need the ‘Reading Journal User Guide’ get it and read it.
I like this NetGalley journal and plan to start using it with my next NetGalley read! It was created with the reader in mind and has lots of different activities and review prompts/material. Very useful!
Thank you for NetGalley and We Are Bookish for the opportunity to use and review this Reading Journal
The NetGalley Reading Journal is a comprehensive reading journal, perfect for ALL bookish tracking (not just NetGalley use).. It contains annual goal pages, monthly sections for book reviews and summaries, plus challenge pages and blank dot, lined and grid pages for setting up your own spreads or long form notes. There are page variations for tracking audiobooks as well!
If a page or tracker that you want is not already included, you can always draw/create your own. Plus you’ll never run out of pages/space like in a regular notebook because digital journaling allows duplication and insertion of pages!
I have kept a reading journal for the past 2 years, and this digital version has what I would normally include, or the flexibility to create what I would need. The added benefit is being able to undo/erase and copy/paste images with ease. I especially loved adding book covers for the visual appeal of “seeing” my reads.
You can choose to be as minimal or extravagant as you like, by using the basic prompts or adding stickers and other embellishments. You are only limited by the platform that you import the journal into (and your creativity).
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone wanting an aesthetically pleasing, digital journal. Preferably someone who is digital friendly or open to learning. Beginners to journaling will have all the tools and pages to get started.
Love the journal and the functionality of the ideas! However, my biggest issue with actually using the reading journal is the recommended apps. For Apple users, at least, a recent update has made the recommendation a little different and no longer free. I could trial the programs, but lost the same quality of functionality when that ended. I’ve tried with other apps, but can see why those recommended were shared. I’m hoping I may have just used the wrong app, but I’m not sure.
When it came to the journal itself, I loved the contents and am interested in printing a copy to use! I love the ARC tracker and relatability to NetGalley specifically to keep on track of my percentage. Also loved that this journal wasn’t bogged down with too many extras I wouldn’t use. It’s widely applicable, but not too long.
Brilliant help. Enjoying using this. Thanks to netgalley for supplying us with this material to use. I think others will also find it useful
5/5
Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers, and We Are Bookish for allowing me to use this reading journal
As someone who is always looking for cute and functional reading journal, this is such an amazing journal. Especially with it being online, and being able to copy pages so I never run out of room for notes and books. Especially since I read a relatively large amount of books, it is hard to find a journal that has enough pages for even just one year's worth of reading.
This journal is something I would highly recommend for everyone, whether you read a lot of books in a year, or only a couple of books a year. It is so helpful and functional.
This is such a cool thing I love how you are able to plan and write thoughts and reviews about the book all in one place
LOVE THIS SO MUCH!! This journal is super comprehensive and easy to use. You've thought of everything. Can't wait to get all of my reads logged in here.
Such a cool and fun way to keep track of all your books. I love all the different sections. I read a lot of books and usually forget about them the second I finish them so this journal is great for helping me get my thought together and remember the books I’ve read!
Such a cute journal! I love using this in paper form and on instagram. Easy to use and keep organized.
Fun way to track down recent reads. Some of my students enjoy tracking their books and this is a great resource I use for them. I love the sticker section and the tracking activities that are included.
This is a nice way to keep my books organized. I appreciate the way that netgalley offered this system! Thank you!
I honestly can’t believe this was free, and so easy to download and use! It’s a great tool for me, and in my opinion, anyone nursing a brand new baby bookstagram.
An excellent journal and guide to achieving book goals. It's very well thought out and has a simple yet effective design to encourage using this reading journal.
I love the design and layout of this journal. It is a great way to keep track of everything I'm reading and my notes. The Activities section is fun too. I wish this was also available as a physical copy, but other than that I'm very pleased with it! Thank you!
Thank you Netgalley and We are Bookish. I only just discovered the reading journal.
I really like the Journal but I'm more for hands on approach for my reading logs. This year I have re-found a love for making scrapbook feel reading journals. But this would be perfect for anyone who prefers digital formats and to keep track on what they have read through Netgalley.
Perhaps I misunderstood the description, and/or misunderstood the purpose of this Reading Journal. It appears to be very useful to those who have access to NetGalley, but not to the general public or libraries. If my assessment is correct, then it's a good resource for the NetGalley community. I personally wouldn't take the time for all the entries, but many readers might.
A must have for any avid reader. The NetGalley reading journal has everything you need to keep track of your reads throughout the year. The layout provides an easy reference for tracking your reading journal.
Thanks NetGalley and publisher for a copy of this.
I don’t really use reading journals but this would be a great resource for people who do. It is printable and allows you to track your reading and leave a summary of your thoughts on the books.
