Not enough space for books, especially considering how much the average NetGalley user reads, I do think the journal is a good idea, but there are already lots of these sold online, and they're better quality / designed. The fonts and spacing in this one aren't great. I also think it's kind of silly that I have to review a "free gift"...? So here's the rating.
Thank you to NetGalley for the gift. I’ve always wanted a reading journal, so this was a great surprise.
this journal is so cute! i'm excited to use it next year! thank you netgalley for such a cute and thoughtful gift :)
Thank you so much for the reading journal, NetGalley! Love how illustrated it is! I’m going to have a lot of fun with it!
Thank you for the gift, NetGalley! I love reading journals and I'll definitely be using this one to keep track of my readings in 2024. Can't wait to see all the new releases next year will bring and be a part of author's journeys.
A super cool surprise! The color scheme is nice and is very calming. I appreciate how there is a combination of both bookish-related prompts and blank areas to write your general thoughts. I really like all the challenges that are included towards the end of the journal. They will be a great motivator to keep reading even when I find myself in a slump. I especially like the idea of the "Best of Year" show-off, where you choose your favorite book each month, and battle them against each other until finding your ultimate favorite book of the year. I hope I will find time to use some of the prompts next year!
Super handy, fun freebie from Netgalley!
Best suited for those wanting to start a reading journal on a tablet.
Lots of fun tabs and options to utilise too! Will definitely be giving this a go in the new year ☻
Wow, this is a fantastic idea! I love how detailed it is and its structure. I will have some fun with this journal, hehehe!
Thank you for sending me the reading journal. It is lovely -- the layout is user-friendly and the design will be easy to use. There is plenty of room to incorporate a great deal of information and keep an accurate log of reading completed and planned. I'm sure it will prove to be very useful for many reacers and reviewers.
I appreciate the gift, but I find it pretty useless. If it was a physical journal, that would be great. But this is over 100 pages that I would have to print out myself and either bind myself or paste into something else. Also, the free sticker bundle is just pictures of stars - nothing interesting or fancy there.
This is a very cool idea! I have always just used a spreadsheet to keep track of my reading other than Goodreads.. This journal will come in handy for the new year!
What a great idea! I love this! I'd recommend this to any reader.
I would like to thank We Are Bookish for providing me with an advance readers copy via access to the galley for free through the NetGalley program.
<b>The Story</b>
This reading journal as displayed is an interactive, customizable PDF file, which is a perfect way to help set goals and organize your reading life.
Going into the New Year is a great time to start a journal like this.
Or even part-way through the year if you're feeling like you're in a reading slump, need some inspiration or refreshment. Whether a new (formal or informal) or more seasoned reader of any type. Would be great for youths.
Especially if you wanting a new way to organize or motivate your reading in a more formal way. Particularly for us NetGalley members who feel compelled to put everything on request like a shopper in the aisles of the final round of the television show <i>Supermarket Sweep</I>. Where everything catches your eyes and you find yourself putting absolutely everything in your cart.
The format is great for organizing your thoughts and spurring on a good balance of your daily, event-based, monthly, and yearly reading activities.
For myself, I actually don't really keep track so much. I typically read when, what, wherever I want. Roughly according to seasons and just my own accord. Having a physical, digital, and audiobook on hand at anytime for certain occasions and variability for the format and types of books I prefer to read them in accordingly. So I think the value in how those who love to keep track. I think I will really enjoy trying this in how this is formatted and will have to provide an update once I give it a go.
It contains following chapters::

<b>The Writing</b>
This guide is very well-organized.
Color scheme is soft and allows for plenty of open field type space for adequate note-taking.
The reference tabs in addition to the right margin linear monthly tabulation has the jump to page feature linked to them which is an incredibly convenient and thoughtful touch.
I appreciate the large spacing and the function of the guide to include the popular features that people love to incorporate as design in their daily journal as popularized by the bullet journal features.
I'm excited for this one!

This is a fun and clever little freebie from Netgalley. I don't think they've ever done something like this before. Thank you!
What a great surprise. Loved this downloadable reading journal. It comes with all the things popular for such a journal. Seperate pages for individual reviews and tabs for genre.
Thank you to We Are Bookish for this! I'm so excited to use it toward my 2024 reading goals. I especially like the bracket at the end for the favorite of the year rankings!
A useful guide to structure and organize my reading. I can see myself using this format and the tools for keeping track of my favorite books and reviewing my reads.
Thanks for the treat, NetGalley! I'm looking forward to exploring this reading journal and reviewing books in the new year.
I've never tried keeping a reading journal before, but this looks like fun. I love how easy it is to navigate the journal via links and tabs. Some of the activities look fun (e.g., an adorable coloring page to keep track of genres read), and I especially love the tree for recording your favorite book of each month and then a favorite for the year.
This is an incredibly fun and awesome gift! Thank you, NetGalley, for this wonderful reading journal and tracker to use. I’m sure it will be excellent paired with GoodNotes on my tablet!
This journal looks so helpful for tracking reading and I can’t wait to use it next year! Thanks netgalley!!
