I would imagine that most readers have busy lives and struggle to organise themselves properly, let alone find time to read all the fabulous books that they want to. If that is the case I would recommend downloading this tool. It is and interactive pdf format that allows you to keep track of your bookshelves and Net Galley account.
An excellent tool for the average read to record and monitor their reading year.
Really helpful to have as I've really got into reading this year and have already met my reading goal
I don’t keep journals like this very often, but it looks like it would be a great one. There were lot of features that I thought looked fun to fill out. I probably wouldn’t take the time to add cover photos or stickers, but other questions about ranking and reviewing books looked easy and interesting.
An extremely comprehensive reading journal and a lovely welcoming gift!
Personally i find a certain charm and nostalgia in having a physical journal to write in, but i appreciate this isn't the case for many and i can see how this would be perfect for a lot of people.
The cover art and neutral colour pallet throughout are delightful.
Thank you Net Galley for sharing this journal. So far it has been a great way to track the books I've read and the books I want to read.. I especially like the prompts included for reviewing books and the bingo card that I'm working on completing.
Love this journal! It is a fun way to keep track of my books and look back at notes I’ve taken as I read…reading so many books the story lines collide sometimes!
I don't think I will be using it all too often because I am personally not one to faff around, but this is definitely up your alley if you like to be organised. It's pretty extensive, crammed full of bits and bobs and everything else under the sun.
This is a nice idea, but I never open it and I can't really use it easily on my phone. Thanks for trying though.
I’m not sure how to “review” this but I didn’t totally find it helpful/purposeful & I’m not sure if we even need to review this tbh
Just really wasn't useful to me in its presented format. Would love an updated one eventually. Just not really useful as a digital download in current format.
The NetGalley Reading Journal is an aesthetically pleasing and useful book journal; I like it a lot. The colors work very well with each other and the journal itself is useful. While the point of a reading journal is to be useful, not all reading journals meet this requirement, so that alone is a step in the right direction.
As a librarian I love book journals and find them a fun and easy way to document my books for the year. I love being able to catalogue my favourite quotes and add personal thoughts. I find this a great way to document basic facts to remember if the book is a part of a series. I loved the design of Netgalley's journal lots of space and different styles of entries. Thank you We are Bookish and Netgalley!
I gave this NetGalley Reading Journal to my English methods students to track their own readings as they prepare to be English teachers. Personally, I use Good Reads to track my readings, and have over 10 years of book so I really do not have the bandwidth to start a new system, however, this mirrors many of the things I use GoodReads for, but with added "swag" and bullet journal style extras.
I have been using this to keep track of things I like in books and for details and character info in series I've started that aren't finished so I can remember what is going on. I appreciate being able to do this at no cost! It's been very helpful.
I love this concept! I’m new to the digital journal/planner but this one that NetGalley has put together is fantastic! Each page has been carefully thought out with the avid book reader in mind. A lot of the pages are very similar in concept to pages I have put in my physical reading journal. It is well organized and very easy to use as well. I also appreciate the user guide being a separate document instead of being attached to this. I have another planner that has the user guide at the beginning and it is very irritating every time I open it. I’m still not sure if I would use this IN PLACE of my physical reading journal (there’s something about a physical one just like there’s something about a physical book over an ebook) but I think I would love to continue this for my NetGalley reads in particular. It is a wonderful tool to keep all of those organized and will make it easier for me to transition them into my physical journal.
Nice, but I do not think I will be using it. I had to download one of the suggested pdf fillers to edit the pages and once I saved, it wanted me to start a free trial, which I do not want to do. I do not need to pay to access this. It is a nice concept and if you use your computer exclusively to track your reading and want it in journal form, this is perfect for you. The pages are nicely laid out and there is plenty of areas to customize and make it your own. I personally do not need this so I doubt if I will open it again. Only time will tell.
This is a complete and perfect reading journal for keeping track of all your readings, divided by month, with tracking, bingo and other interesting pages.
This is a fine reading journal, it is very detailed and interactive. The tabs are hyperlinked so you can easily jump to wherever you want in the journal. Overall, this is very handy if you enjoy tracking your reading journey and I look forward to using more of it.
Thank you NetGalley.
Fun to use but an extra step I probably won't keep up with. Still I could see some people really enjoying this.
This is a perfect reading journal! I would have loved it more if it was a digital version that you could type into
