Great! This colorful and comprehensive book is informative and engaging regarding the legendary Bob Marley and the Wailers. The man and the band’s history, fame, legacy are highlighted, making it a keepsake volume for fans and collectors.
This was an amazing , informative piece of work about his career , lots of facts I didn’t know about him . Overall a good book
This is a comprehensive look into Bob Marley's life and career with lots of photos (loved the childhood photo of Bob Marley) as well as posters and photos of other Reggae artists and artists who influenced him and the Wailers. They were very influenced by Curtis Mayfield and The Impressions and also worked with Chris Nash and the other famous Chris - Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records. One of my favorite unknown facts I discovered was that in July 1973 the Wailers were on the bill with Bruce Springsteen at Max's Kansas City in NYC (I wonder if the Velvet Underground and Andy Warhol were at the show). Throughout are reviews of each of their LP's which prompted me to go listen. This is a really enjoyable read and it is tragic Bob Marley's life was cut short by cancer.
Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Motorbooks for an ARC and I voluntarily left this review.
Bob Marley and the Wailers: The Ultimate Illustrated History by Richie Unterberger is a book if someone is a fan of Bob Marley and a fan of his work. The author Richie did a lot of research into the background and story of the musical group. It was full of information and good illustrations throughout which made it an interesting read.
I highly recommend this book.

The author created a thoughtful compilation of information taken from various sources such as books, industry interviews and music reviews.
Clearly much research and time was involved to put this book together.
I enjoyed the selected discography at the end of the book.

Bob Marley is and always will be the symbol of the reggae movement but, sadly, with time we have lost the true meaning of his music.
This achievement’s recollection helps us remember how this emblem of pride and justice was born, and how to keep it alive, with historical notions and 4K pictures.
Thanks to Quarto Publishing Group – Motorbooks and NetGalley, who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
