I didn’t read the author’s first book on marijuana but I felt like this one was either mis-titled and/or tried to cram in a variety of info into a shorter book. I was looking for something that was either more comprehensive or targeted. Instead, it would zero in on things that weren’t of interest to me and glossed over what I wanted to learn more about in a short paragraph. I guess I’ll just do a Google search to answer my lingering questions!
The first thing that caught my eye was the cover of this book. It's stunning, just like that beautiful plant.
This book is informative and tells you all you need to know about nature's most sought after flower. From recreational to medicinal, if you want to know about bud, pick up Weed by Ellen Holland.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC
I loved this! This book is packed with interesting facts, recipes, and information. The photos were stunning. Highly recommend for anyone seeking to learn more about the cannabis industry
I love learning about weed. I think it’s the cure all of the future.
Anything we discover about it is fascinating.
This book was super informative!
With decriminalization of cannabis throughout Canada and many US States, many first-time users (as well as some longtime users) are seeking advice about this mysterious herbal product that’s touted as a health remedy, painkiller and recreational phenom, now can find loads of fascinating information about this hemp product in a short, yet relatively comprehensive little book, “Weed—Smoke It, Eat It, Grow It, Love It,” by Ellen Holland and first ever female Iron Chef, Cat Cora.
This fun and fact-filled cannabis reference guide discusses sustainable industrial farming of the herb; CBD vs. THC varietals, smells and tastes—finding your perfect blend; recipes for cooking, cocktails and other herbal concoctions; essential oils and aromatics; as well as creative and festive events and activities centered around this herbal essence.
“Weed” is a colorful compendium of fascinating information about cannabis. It’s everything that you always wanted to know, but didn’t know who to ask or where to go for all of the answers.
JoyReaderGirl1 graciously thanks NetGalley, Authors Ellen Holland and Cat Cora, and Publisher The Quarto Group, Inc. for this advanced reader’s copy (ARC) for review.
As a lifelong user of Weed, I was really looking forward to this book by Ellen Holland. I especially loved the recipes and wine and weed pairings. Great homage to a wonderful herb. Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!
Would have loved to read this title, but the format was not supported on any device I attempted to download it on (both tablet and desktop) and with no send to kindle option, all I could do was look at the title and wish i could delver deeper.
Thank u netgalley for an advanced ARC of this book and all opinions are my own.
