The Underground Library isn't my first book by this author, and it most probably won't be my last one. The story takes place during World War II and follows our three protagonists. Sophie, Juliet and Katie. Adapting to the new, scary reality of an ongoing war, the three women have to face new challenges and carve their own paths.

I loved all three women. They all had a fierce character, but they were all so different. As always, I appreciated the atmosphere this book created. Even though the story takes place in a time of upheaval the plot is one of hope and friendship. This book is perfect for lovers of historical fiction, literature and books about female friendship.
