Thank you, NetGalley, for approving the ARC of this book.
This was a fluffy/easy to read, small-town romance. Quinn is studying to be a qualified nutritionist as she suffers from MCAS (Mast cell activation syndrome) so she has to stick to a strict diet and she wants to help others still enjoy food even if they can't have certain things. Her ex-boyfriend Ty returns home from college after being away for 3 years.
Both of them are being put together to ensure this year's founders' festival, which means they need to not only work together but also deal with what happened 3 years ago.
Overall, the book was ok, but I felt like every couple of pages, we were reminded that Quinn has MCAS, and it felt like that was the majority of her personality, we didn't really get much of who Quinn or Ty were as characters which found it a little hard to root for them.

This book was a cute, quick, closed-door romance read. It is worth reading if you are into YA romance.

Was this a cover read for me? Yes it was. But I ended up loving it. It reminded me of Gilmore Girls mixed with Sweet Home Alabama. Small town romances have my heart.
I also love the second chance romance trope so much. It was such a cute and easy read. I loved Ty and Quinn so much. I was rooting for them the whole time

"Never Getting Back Together" by Krysti Meyer is a delightful small-town romance with Gilmore Girls vibes. Quinn Kelley faces a summer of stress as she navigates starting her own business, family drama, and the return of her ex, Ty Rossi. Despite their rocky past and fiery tempers, their chemistry is undeniable, leading to a swoony second-chance romance. While some may find the protagonists' immaturity frustrating, it feels true to their college-age characters. The representation of Quinn's chronic illness adds depth to the story. Overall, it's a heartwarming read that leaves me eager for Meyer's next book.

Cute, not in my top 10 for this year but it’s cute and cozy!! The cover is the first thing that caught my eye, I love small town country love stories!

"Never Getting Back Together" is my first reading experience with a book from Krysti Meyer.
I saw a lot of great reviews on Goodreads & here on the NetGalley page, so when I saw "Never Getting Back Together" listed as a Read Now option, I jumped at the opportunity to read and review this story. I'm so bummed "Never Getting Back Together" ended up not being for me. I ended up DNF'ing this book. I could not connect with the FMC & didn't like where the story was heading with the FMC's ex.
Please do not let my review keep you from giving Krysti Meyer's "Never Getting Back Together" a read because you may enjoy this romcom more than I did.
Disclaimer: I never rate lower than 3⭐s. Based on my understanding, reviews lower than 3⭐s hurts the author's promotability & income - especially indy authors.

***POTENTIAL SPOILERS WARNING***
Never Getting Back Together was a nice, relatively quick read that depicted a sweet second-chance romance. While I felt that I wanted to see more into both the FMC’s past and future relationship with the MMC, I enjoyed the way that the plot unfolded overall. This is also a great selection for someone wanting to read a closed-door romance that has more emotion-based elements when it comes to character connection.

This is listed as new adult, but it is written more as a YA.
Ty was the most frustrating main character ever. He came across super childish (not as much as his friends did though) and the miscommunication trope was rife in this one.
Quinn was so boring, she was angry about everything. There was no banter, or flirting between her and Ty, they just made each other horny I guess. They didn't even really seem to like each other. I would have liked more of them together rather than it just happening at the end.
It was a quick easy read though and I did mostly enjoy it. 3.5 stars rounded to 4

I normally love a second chance romance in a small town setting, but I just couldn't get into this one.
The characters felt immature, I didn't get the chemistry or vibes from them, and found them quite lacklustre individually and together.
Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood to read this one!

i think this is more or a "it's me, not the book" situation because i could see myself enjoying this if i was in the right mood. it's a very short and predictable rom-com, but i couldn't connect with the characters, although the book itself wasn't bad.

thank you to netgalley for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

“I used to think that we were forever, ever and I used to say ‘never say never.’”
First thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
Quinn Kelley is working really hard to make her dreams a reality, despite all of the obstacles she is facing. She is trying to not let her chronic illness get in the way of her life and what she wants. However, a wrench gets thrown in her plans when her ex Ty Rossi is back in town for summer break three years after they broke up. When these two are suddenly co-leading the town’s week long festival things get interesting to say the least. Can these two set aside their differences to pull off this town tradition or will they continue to say never.
I had high hopes for this book, when I saw that it had ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ and ‘Gilmore Girls’ vibes, I was sold. While this book was cute I found it to be lacking and flat in areas.
I enjoyed the chronic illness representation with Quinn, especially since it is not one that is seen very often in books. However, Quinn’s character fell short in regards to feelings. She seemed self centered at times and not observant to other peoples feelings. Ty also fell flat for me, he easily let Quinn push him around to get her way. She also took out all of her frustrations on him when she was just as guilty.
I also felt like their relationship was rather rushed and lacking a spark. Especially after three years being separated it only took less than a week for them to get back together and sort out their issues between each other, which was frustrating because Quinn made their breakup such a big deal throughout the course of the book. In fact it was a very big focus throughout the entire story and just like that it’s swept under the rug with a few simple words.
On the other hand I enjoyed the vibes of ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ and ‘Gilmore Girls,’ I felt myself smiling and seeing the little threads that tied these together. Specifically Betty and Liv’s mother/daughter relationship was a nice call to that of Lorelei and Rory’s from Gilmore Girls, which made my little heart very happy.
Overall, this book was not horrible but it fell rather flat for me and I really wanted more. However, if you’re looking for a very quick, light and fluffy read this would be the book for you.

What I loved most about this book was the chronic illness representation!! Exclamations needed. It's not something you often see in media but is so needed. As someone with chronic illness and food allergies, I loved seeing this portrayed in such a detailed way. This book even talks about how chronic illnesses are often invisible and hard for other people to grasp how serious it is. Chronic illness is never looked at as "sick" or "handicap" like other illnesses, but rather an overreaction and being dramatic. I fight every day with myself and my body. It's exhausting to have to also do it with people (and sometimes medical professionals) who don't believe you. It was nice to see this being given a voice.
This book follows Tyler and Quinn, who were once high school sweethearts, until a night of pranks put Quinn's future in jeopardy. Fast forward three years, and Tyler is back home from college and has thrown Quinn's emotions right back into the past with unresolved issues and lingering feelings. Quinn wants to avoid Tyler at all costs, but circumstances force them to work together for the town's Founder's Day Festival (did someone say Hallmark?)
Overall, I enjoyed this book and did bookmark 30 sections, lol. I loved the characters, especially our MCs, with their animosity toward one another based on their history. However, I felt like the book was extremely slow paced, without ever having a true point of acceleration. It felt like we were going through the same angsty conversation with each MCs interaction. I wanted more character development earlier on to set the pace for the ending.
I am eager to dive into the author's other works and I have a feeling "Not If I Date You First" is even more up my alley.

Thanks NetGalley for the e arc.
I really did not enjoy this book. It wasn’t for me. Did not like the characters, I found them very boring and they lack personality. I felt like the characters or even the plot could have been fleshed out a bit more. I really had to force myself to get through this book.

First off I would like to thank Netgalley for allowing me to ARC read this book.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Being able to learn about a condition that is more rare through the main character was something I liked. I had never heard about MCAS before so this book really brought that to light.
I liked the overall writing in this book and everything that happened. I would say this book was something I struggled to fully finish just because at times it can be slower. But I still think this book was worth reading.
I really connected with the characters and was able to see why they made some of the decisions they did. I liked the humor scattered throughout the book. I feel like that was one of the main reasons I continued to read this was because I wanted to see them end up together. I knew it would happen I just was intrigued in how it would happen.
Overall I would recommend this book to people who like second chance romances because I think this is a good representation of that genre.

Cute little small town romance. Loves this book but it could have done with some more juice at the end with the to mains. I don’t believe they are a good fit and thought she could have gotten better
The friends in this book of the female main character are so amazing and supportive a huge shout out the them being so kind but also hilarious all of the time!,
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the change to read this book for an honest review.

This story of Quinn Kelley and Ty Rossi from the charming town of Rosedale was cute. I really liked the cover of the book.
Things I liked about the book:
🌻Quinn Kelley, the female main character, impressed me with her resilience in overcoming numerous obstacles in her life.
🌻The way story shed light on Mast Cell Activation Syndrome(MCAS).
🌻Kelley women bond.
🌻The chemistry between Quinn and Ty was adorable, and their families, along with a few townies, were equally supportive and endearing.
Things that could have been better:
🌻I wished for insights into Ty's perspective as well. Including his point of view could have enhanced their chemistry even more.
🌻Not a fan of the miscommunication trope.

Super cute! Kind of predictable, but that was what I wanted going into reading this. I love Quinn and Ty. They are so cute and relatable.

I really really loved this one! I read it while being sick, so I don't remember too much of the plot, but I do remember it bringing a smile to my face!

What a cute little rom-com. This perfect second chance romance set in a small town is the perfect YA alternative to am Elsie Silver or Lucy Score novel. I absolutely loved the FMC and how she had used her condition to inspire her career. Fantastic side characters who help to bring this small town to life....we all need an Aunt Betty and neighbour Gary in our life. It could have been improved with a dual timeline to allow the past to slowly reveal itself allowing the reader to realise where Quinn's initial distrust of Ty sprang from. I also needed so much more of Ty's family and their live for Quinn. All in all a great, quick read solid 3.75☆
Thank you to NetGalley for the arc and chance to read.
