A very fast paced and enjoyable read. Kept me on the edge of my seat, and the climax was very satisfying. However I found the writing to be a tad clunky, and that took me out of it a bit. Still enjoyed it.

A fast paced novel which at times could have done with slowing down but overall a great read.
I won't say much about the plot as I think it's best to go in blind but just know you are in for a ride!

Unfortunately, this one isn't for me. I thought the writing was fine but I just couldn't connect to the characters and couldn't stay focused. Thank you NetGalley, and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy.

What Have You Done For Mia Lately?
by Julia Flynn
This one is a fast read. If only it could slow down more!! Great writing, and I look forward to reading more. Mia was a real user and Mia is also a raging narcissist. But, sadly it is too late for those that fall for Mia.

What Have You Done For Mia Lately? By Julia Flynn has an intriguing premise. It gets right in to the story and moves along quickly. At times, I thought it was too fast. There were some abrupt changes and jumping around. It always easy to follow. If you love a fast-paced plot you’ll like this book.

Kat is a prosecutor working for the government when she runs into an old acquaintance, Mia, and the story goes from there. I won’t say anything else about the plot, because this book should be one that you go into blind.
Flynn does well at either making you love or loathe her characters, and keeping you invested in their livelihoods. The ending was too cliché for my liking, but I would definitely recommend this book to people who like a satisfying or clean conclusion. However, I really detest the notion that a successful business woman needs to settle down with a man. Without spoiling things, I thought this particular ending was really unnecessary.
This book will ring true for anyone who has experienced a narcissist, whether in the form of a boss or otherwise.
3/5 stars

This was a surprisingly quick read! I enjoyed the pacing even if I did feel a bit disoriented at times from what felt like abrupt changes in the setting. The premise of the book immediately drew me in, and the actual plot did not disappoint. It was a bit of a slow burn but the build-up was worth it -- Kat was an all-too-relatable MC, and everyone has or has known a Mia in their life. I was especially delighted by the foreshadowing in the short conversation between Kat and her friend at the end of chapter 3, though the very last page did still manage to surprise me.
This author has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to see more work from them in the future!

I was shocked at how fast I burned through this one - each facet of the storyline is well thought out and I couldn't find a single loose end. I so look forward to more from this author!!
