Wow! This is a deliciously dark tale. Fast paced with action from the get go. The author takes us on a roller coaster ride full of twists and turns and emotional turmoil! The research the author put into this book shows as its a story of gods, demons, monsters and magic. Her world building is amazing. I could picture being there among the characters. Especially in the underword.
The character building is good, Jae is one I instantly warmed too and although you realise he is something more than human the author keeps you guessing to the end. I struggled to get to know our main character, Andy (Andromita ....love this name)! She comes across very prickly to start with (but who wouldn't if your sister died and you were on a mission to find out why and who)? As the story goes on and she warms to a few around her you start to see her softer side. She's the second born child, always looking up to her big sister, Violet who is just great at everything see turns her hand at. Andy has always lived in her shadow but without jealousy. The sisters have a good relationship and Violet even calls Andy by the pet name her 'Little star'. During Andys search for her sister and trying to stop the same thing happening to other girls we so her come out of her sisters shadow and start to walk her own path in life. As she sees how misguided Violet has become in pursuit of magic. Although the sisters paths take them in different directions we still see the love they have for each other.
Munia is a very warm character and is determined to love and care for new girl and room mate Andy despite Andy's stand off nature. I'm hoping this is the first book in a series as I'd love to see more of her in the future.
The author has tied up the ending so well whilst leaving it open for the next books. Absolutely unputdownable and the first book of this author I have read, I can't wait to dive into more of her books.

Rating: 3.5
A little different from the usual that I read, being my first dark academia.
While the first half of All The Devils was quite fast-paced, some of the interactions between Andy and other characters quite frustrating since she had a bad case of her against the world, but as I read further I enjoyed the development of the plot line and the expansion of the world building. A few plot twists here and there which were exciting, but the open ending was a bit hollow for me.
A decent introduction into a new genre for me.

All The Devils by Catelyn Wilson
When I saw this was a young adult dark academia book promised to be full of secret societies, mystery, magic, demons and much more, I immediately knew I had to read it. This is an incredibly fast-paced book, which starts smack bang in the middle of the action, meaning we skip out all the long, boring opening chapters and get hooked straight away. The author sets an eerie, threatening and mysterious tone to the book right from the get go, and this only builds throughout until we reach the intense, shocking ending. I liked the conclusion to the book overall, yet I did feel there were certain parts in the plot where readers are just supposed to except certain facts or situations without any explanation being given by the author. There are a few incidents where things are left to the reader to interpret but are too unambiguous, so I found myself becoming slightly confused and having to reread parts of this.
Credit must be given to the author for the amazing world-building done, especially regarding the Underworld. There are multiple, brilliantly-written parts of this book that describe the scenery around our characters, and I really felt as if I too was walking through the Underworld, seeing the river, the dying flowers and all the monsters living there. The author managed to make a fantasy setting seem fully-formed and realistic, which is a hard task. I also enjoyed that there was quite a few fun facts about history thrown in throughout, mainly about Egypt, which I thought was a nice addition and fit the story well.
The characters were also very well-written. Jae, in particular, was a very interesting, multi-layered character that I really warmed to, and the author managed to hide Jae's secrets from me right up until the end. Jae's character deals a lot with grief, and shows the detrimental effects this can have on young people, which I thought was a good addition. Violet was another interesting character, showing the possible consequences of greed, selfishness and desperation. At some points, I rooted for Violet and could understand her motivations but, at other points, I found myself becoming frustrated at her character's actions. However, towards the end we find out why Violet has become this not-so-good version of herself, and we are able, on some levels, to empathise with her. Yet, in my opinion, the reasons Violet give for actions are not sufficient to absolve her of guilt. I ended up hating Violet almost as much as Luciano and the other members of their group, which I wasn't certain was the author's intentions. Andy was an odd character that I couldn't work out. It took me a long time to warm to her, as I found she often came across as erratic, airheaded and annoyingly reliant on others. I became annoyed with Andy at certain points, as the answers seemed obvious to me (as a reader) yet Andy was seemingly unable to do anything by herself and was constantly relying on Jae (or Munia) to hold her hand at every step. However, after a while, I began to notice this frustrating character trait less, and found myself warming to Andy finally- perhaps this was only because Jae went missing and she was forced to stand on her own two feet, though.
Overall, I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. Other than the few issues I had, this was a very enjoyable and interesting read. I loved learning about the secret societies, meeting a whole bunch of intriguing monsters, and much more, which all play into the dark academia vibes that made this book so enjoyable. This book really reminded me why I was so obsessed with these types of books as a teenager and has renewed my love of dark academia books. I would definitely recommend giving this one a read. Thank you to NetGalley and Catelyn Wilson for the ARC.

Dark academia with horror, monsters and magic? I’ve never signed up for a book so fast in my life!
I’m so glad that I was able to read the ARC of this book - not only is the cover gorgeous, but the story is absolutely amazing! Andy is seeking the truth behind her sister’s ‘death’, and it takes her so much further into realms that she never knew existed. She soon begins to question just how well she even knew her sister as secret, deadly societies are revealed, as well as wondering just who she can trust when she becomes a target.
The story had a great pace, with each page leaving me wanting more; the twists throughout the story were brillliant! I loved how the world building was gradual and flowed well with the story, bringing the reader further into the magical world as Andy risks everything to uncover the truth. Spooky, haunting, twisty and dark, this was a single POV story (which I found very refreshing) and the tension between Andy and Jae was perfect.
An absolutely brilliant story by Catelyn Wilson! I will definitely be purchasing a physical copy once it is released and will be eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!
Thank you to NetGalley, Catelyn Wilson and Penguin for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

What a book! I was not expecting there to be so many twists and turns in one book. It was beyond anything I was expecting. I chose it based on the dark academia theme, and it did not disappoint.
The only negative was I found the interactions between Andy and Jae at the beginning were too dramatic and unbelievable. However I did really enjoy how their relationship grew and it felt much more natural (for a while anyway…!)
This was a phenomenal book in terms of character and story development. I never felt like I knew what was coming next. So atmospheric and well written. Do not hesitate - you must read it.

I received this book as an ARC from Netgalley, however all opinions are my own.
How I read this book: eBook
So the reason I wanted to read this book is because I saw the description of this book on netgalley and being in my fantasy girl era knew that I wanted to read it so I requested the book. Let me tell you this book was a RIDE. First of all the writing in this book is beautiful and the way that Catelyn world builds really puts you into the space without being too overly descriptive. The cast of characters was really diverse and is so refreshing to see. Catelyn made it so easy for us to love and feel empathy the side characters even if they weren't in the book as often as I would have loved them to be (I'm looking at Munia). The start of this book was a little slow but once you push through the first two chapters you really get immersed into the storyline and I found myself really pulled in. The only reason this took me a little longer to read that it normally would is because I wasn't very well last week. However I still wanted to pick it up at every chance I got. I was also not expecting the twists and the turns throughout this book, every single one of them caught me off guard. I'm hoping we get more stories between Andy and Jae and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
My Favourite Characters:
- Munia: In all honesty when we first met Munia I thought she was a little standoffish when in reality she was just mimicking the way Andy was being towards her. I loved how much she cared for Andy even though Andy gave her NOTHING in return and I genuinely wished we got more of her in the story.
- Jae: I adore Jae so much and I loved getting to find out more and more about his character. I cannot wait to see what is next for him.
- Andy: Listen, I know Andy is the main character but she's actually such a badass. I loved her so much.
My Least Favourite Characters
- Luciano: Luciano is an egotistical prick and that's all I've really got to say about him.
- Regina: Is also an egotistical prick but is also really condescending throughout the book.

I was really drawn in by the description of this book as I love mysteries, dark magic and a boarding school setting. The cover art is also beautiful.
I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to receive an ARC of this book.
Unfortunately, I don't feel like I have been able to make any sort of connection to the characters and the pacing of the first half of the book is so fast. There are too many things happening and being uncovered one after the other. I didn't feel there was any chance to actually digest what was happening and figure out how we felt about what was developing.
In my opinion, it would have been beneficial to have more time getting to know the MC outside of her relationship with her sister. To maybe even have an insight in to their relationship so we can understand Andy's POV better.
There is also a lack of world building and exploration of the setting. My main criticism is that we are thrown in to the deep end with no chance of catching our breath.
Though I felt this way, I can appreciate some readers would enjoy these aspects of the book, as well as fans of the dark academia genre.

Meet Andy, standing at her sister’s casket saying her final goodbyes. Andy is heartbroken and guilt ridden, her last interaction with her sister being an argument. But when Andy realises the person in the casket isn’t her sister Violet, she’s thrown into a spiral of questions. Packing up and heading off to her sister’s boarding school, the place where she supposedly drowned, Andy is quickly drawn into a dangerous quest to find out what happened and where her sister really is.
This book is full of mystery, horror, fantasy and magic, with a sprinkling of romance, secret societies, monsters and demons. I enjoyed the book and the story, particularly the backstory on the secret society. The description and atmosphere of the location is expertly written and emits a really gothic horror vibe. I would recommend this as a young adult book.

YA meets horror in the dark academia fantasy book set at the elite boarding school Ravenswood Academy.
Andy has enlisted at the school to uncover the truth surround the death of her sister. She discovers a secret society with connections to ancient gods and demons and along with fellow student Jae starts to investigate.
The book starts off at a great pace with no in depth world building to wrangle. Although I struggled a little to connect with Andy as a character I still really enjoyed the story as a whole. Jae was an interesting character and I wished we could have explored both him and the setting of the school a bit more.
I’ll happily read the sequels it appears set up for.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book in return for a honest review.

I knew from the blurb that I would like this, but then I started the book and I was absolutely hooked. I could not stop thinking about it when I wasn’t reading it. I loved the characters and the relationship between Andy and Jae. The whole “secret society” aspect was very interesting, I’m going to need to read more like this.
Some parts got a little confusing, as in I had to decipher where one person stopped talking and another person started, but maybe there was a problem when I was downloading it.
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and looking forward to reading more from this author. Thank you for the ARC.

What a interesting pleasant surprise this book was. It’s a YA, dark academia, fast paced, good building of characters, the ambiance was well elaborated. I like the twists that the book had, was honestly such a delightful thing the way the structure of the book was build. Give me a secret society story with demons and monsters and I am all for it. I totally enjoy it a big shout out to the author, the editorial and NetGalley for my advantage copy.

This was a great book to get my teeth in. I enjoyed the action of it evene though some bit were a bit predictable. The characters were charming and likeable as well. I'm curious to see what else comes from this author

This book was really interesting, a YA Dark academia set in a really expensive, elite boarding school!
Following a rich and interesting array of characters who you meet through various points in the book! The main character Andy is trying to find out what has happened to her sister violet, a fast paced book full of twists and turns!
I really enjoyed this book, but I will say I wished some of the characters were better developed, and that would’ve kept me gripped.
I did have some issues with formatting which I’m not sure is a NetGalley issue or a book issue, and a couple of frantically errors but not enough to deduct a start :)

I wasn't sure on this one.
I enjoyed all the twists and turns, there was a lot of suspense and intrigue that kept me hooked and it was incredibly fast paced in the beginning.
However, I felt that the momentum kinda dropped and I started losing interest. I didn't feel connected to the characters and didn't feel like there were great relationships between the characters.
I'm not sure if my version didn't download very well but the formatting of some of the chapters wasn't great? There were also grammatical errors throughout the book, like no new lines to indicate change in speaker, so it got a bit confusing at times.
Not a bad book, I just think it needs some tidying uo

I loved this book! There’s so many twists and turns. I really didn’t know where it was going or how it was going to end. I was on the edge of my seat. There are so many great plot twists! They don’t feel contrived and definitely add to the mystery of the book. I was only able to guess one of them!
Andy was a fantastic character while sometimes hotheaded, and Jae (I’m in love). The overall mystery was fantastic as well as the many magic systems and mythologies that were incorporated into the story.
Some phrases and descriptions felt repetitive towards the end. However, this didn’t detract from the my overall enjoyment of the story.
I would have liked more of a finish for some of the side characters like Munia.
Overall this was a great book. Everything is more or less wrapped up. But the ending suggests that there might be a sequel *fingers crossed*. I would definitely read more from this author.
4.25/5 stars
Thank you to the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. From the blurb I was immediately hooked and knew I needed to know what happens. When I started the first chapter I was intrigued and driven to get to the end. The story unfolded and many revelations were revealed. This is also the first time I’ve read something like this , this type of genre and I’m so glad I tried it as this book was just so alluring.
I liked Andy and how determined she was , how she figured out so many hidden secrets and realized the biggest one of all. It was such a good dark academia YA story. It’s not the end though so I’m looking forward to reading more.

This book was a wonderful YA, dark academia blast of fast paced intrigue and action.
Set in an elite (aka super expensive) boarding school, we follow Andy's (full name Andromeda) attempts to uncover the real story behind the death of her sister.
This book was fast paced, twisting and turning through the dark and mysterious with a rich cast of characters along the way.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would recommend.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC!
All the devils is a dark academia fantasy set at an elite boarding school. It follows Andy (Andromeda) on a mission to uncover what has happened to her sister and in doing so, uncovers secrets and magic.
The characters and the scenery were all exquisitely, especially when we went to the Underworld. The twists just kept coming when it came to Jae and I spent a good deal of time picking my jaw up off the floor.

I want to say thankyou to NetGalley and the author for giving me the opportunity to have an advanced copy of this book.
‘I will uncover the twisted truth, even if it kills me’
A dark academia story full of death, secret societies, lies, betrayal, demons and monsters.
Andromeda refuses to believe her sister is dead, and soon sets out on her mission to uncover the truth of what happened at Ravenswood academy, a school full of entitled and arrogant teens.
Andy meets Jae, who agrees to help her in her pursuit to uncover the tragedies that are ruthlessly covered up, and come up against a secret society known as the tooth and talon. Jae however, has his own reasons for helping in mind.
This story had me gripped from beginning to end, and I simply cannot wait for it to come out so I can have a physical copy to read all over again.
High praise for this book, it was my first in the dark academia genre, and it certainly won’t be the last.

All the Devils by Catelyn Wilson offers a complex tapestry of elements that, despite initial struggles, ultimately weave together to create a compelling narrative.
The delayed immersion into the story could be seen as a deliberate choice by the author, perhaps to mirror the gradual unveiling of secrets within the plot itself. This slow burn approach, while challenging for some readers, sets the stage for a more intense and rewarding experience as the story progresses.
The lack of development in the relationship between Violet and Andy is a valid criticism, yet it also serves to reflect the enigmatic nature of their connection. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Andy's arrival at Violet's school, devoid of a clear explanation beyond the absence of a tattoo, adds an air of intrigue that propels the narrative forward.
The abundance of characters with minimal development may initially frustrate readers, but it also mirrors the chaotic nature of the underworld and the school environment. This lack of familiarity with the characters enhances the sense of unpredictability and danger lurking within their midst, keeping readers on edge and eager to uncover more about their motivations and backgrounds.
Despite these challenges, the book shines in its portrayal of the relationship between Andy and Jae. The gradual evolution of their bond amidst the turmoil of their journey adds depth and emotional resonance to the narrative, providing a much-needed anchor for readers amidst the chaos.
The fusion of mystery and fantasy elements is a standout feature of the book, injecting a sense of wonder and excitement into the storyline. Wilson's vivid prose and meticulous world-building draw readers into a richly imagined setting, allowing them to experience the wonders and dangers of the underworld and the school through the eyes of the characters.
In conclusion, while All the Devils may have its shortcomings, it ultimately succeeds in delivering an engaging and immersive reading experience. Its unique blend of mystery, fantasy, and character-driven storytelling, coupled with Wilson's evocative writing style and world-building prowess, ensures that readers will find plenty to enjoy and ponder long after they've turned the final page.
