I absolutely loved the concept of blending dark academia with horror elements in this book. Ravenswood Academy is vividly depicted with its dark, moody atmosphere, especially the isolated greenhouse which adds a unique touch. The plot is fantastic, featuring secret societies, a trail left by a deceased sister, underworld mysteries, and plenty of magic.
While the academia aspect is more of a backdrop rather than a central focus—meaning our main character isn’t deeply involved in academic activities—I found the captivating plot more than made up for this. The characterisation could benefit from further development, but overall, the story's intriguing mix of elements kept me thoroughly engaged.

I was intrigued by the premise of this book and couldn't wait to read it. It started off well and definitely had a Wednesday feel to it. I did struggle in parts to keep going as I didn't really like Andy but it was worth persevering. In the whole it is a good read but it didn't wow me.

A gripping, spinetingling, heart-stopping tale. Intweining all different mythologies making it an Outstanding world. Loved every moment and was hooked from the first page.

Firstly thank you to Netgalley and Penguin Random House for the e-ARC.
All the devils is a dark academia mystery filled with sorcery and trickery. I was hooked the second I started this book, and it kept me on the tips of my toes as the mystery unravelled. The characters feel fully fleshed out and their motivations feel believable. I especially loved the magic and how mythology was included throughout.
If you are a fan of dark academia and books like If we were villians and Ninth house, I would recommend picking up All the devils when it comes out on the 19th of September. I will look forward to the next novel written by Catelyn Wilson.

A YA Dark Academia book with Magic,Gods and a secret society.
Attending her sisters funeral Andy is shocked to find out the girl in the coffin isn't her Older sister at all.
Believing Violet is still alive, Andy convinces her parents to transfer her to Ravenswood Academy. Whilist here, she meets fellow student Jae who has his own theories as to what happened to Violet. Believing it's just the latest in a string of mysterious murders which have happened over the past few decades, Jae and Andy work together to try to piece together who's involved and how to safely get her sister back.
The concept of this book intrigued me and the description had me hooked, unfortunately I couldn't give it 5 stars even though in some places I really wanted to.
The world/Lore building is really interesting and very well written and explained.
The blending of Old Gods, magic and the underworld is a well thought out combination which works really well together and i loved the scenes where we got to explore it more.
Whilst the story had some twists and turns that I couldn't predict, it unfortunately fell flat in some places for me and i think this is mostly due to the fact I wasn't a big fan of the FMC Andy. This ultimately made me not enjoy the book as much as I would of liked, however that being said, i did enjoy her character development over the last 20% of the book as I feel she came more into her own and stepped up to do what she needed to do.
With the way the book ended, I'm hoping there will be a book 2 as I'd love to learn more about the Gods and magic within this world and continue to see Andys development into a strong FMC who I could hopefully like more.
On the whole it is a good book with potential to have an even better sequel.
I'm look forward to anything Catelyn Wilson writes in the future as I loved the concept and the easy to follow world building which had me hooked.
Thankyou NetGalley for the E-ARC

All the devils exceeded every single expectation I had for this book. I was so good that I couldn’t put it down.
ALL THE DEVILS
4 / 5 🌟
A gothic/horror? A thriller/mystery?? Secret societies??? Demons?!? This book has it all.
All the devils truly blew my expectations out of the water. I love a good mystery as much as anyone, but I didn’t think things would go the way they did.
The plot was full of twists and turns. There were so many secrets and revelations. I was hooked from the start, as everything started hard and fast.
The world building was incredible. I love the way the author wove witchcraft and demons into a mundane world. I found the inclusion of Anubis (you know, the Egyptian god) really weird and off putting at first but after a little while I came to really enjoy it.
Andy and Jae were really cool characters. I found them complex and believable. They both had so many layers to themselves that we were constantly learning something new. I also really loved violet.
Overall, this book is the perfect book for those looking for something a little different to the stock standard mystery/thrillers. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves gothic settings or dark academia, although it’s set in the current/modern world.

Fantasy novel that reminded me a little bit of the feel of Wednesday. For me the story started well, slowed a little, but was more than worthwhile continuing with right to the action packed ending. Andy is certain her sister is not dead. But following her path to Ravenswood Academy might not be the safest way for Andy to prolong her own life. A secret society, and the gods might be out for more than a little bit of her blood. Though Andy has more going in her favour than she could imagine. Thank you to Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

I’m not sure if this was necessarily a bad book but I think I am now definitely less of a fan of contemporary stories than I used to be.
The story follows a girl called Andy learning of her sister Violet’s death at the school she attended called Ravenswood Academy. She however later realises that Violet never actually died and so she sets out to uncover the truth about her sister at the very school she used to go to, determined to uncover whatever secrets they may be hiding.
My first issue with this book was simply just how predictable it was. It was pretty much a Wednesday Addams reincarnation. I guessed all the plot twists pretty much from the start of the book and that’s why I’m saying in advance, maybe these books just aren’t for me anymore lol.
I also felt very frustrated with the fmc and found her to be quite foolish, rash and annoying. I do understand that this is a YA book but I don’t think I’m expecting too much of her to just think before she speaks.
Lastly the story felt quite rushed and everything happened too conveniently for my liking. It did become a lot more interesting by about the 66% mark but it was still pretty predictable.
That being said, it had a very interesting premise and I see why people found it to be enjoyable as well as it having lot of potential for an interesting sequel if there ever was to be one.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC <3

I love a Dark Academia mystery and Wilson delivers one full of atmosphere and fantasy elements. This is exquisitely crafted with great characterisation and a riveting plot line – loved the mythological aspects.

Andy throws herself into the lions pit of Ravenwood Academy to investigate the suspicious circumstances surrounding her sister "death". What she finds is conspiracy, dark magic, and an even darker sect. She gains an ally in Jae, who has his own motivation for investigating the corruption and secrets of Ravenwood.
Together, they plan to thwart the wicked culture ingrained in the academy's history.
I really enjoyed this book. It isn't shy in its themes and jumps straight into Andy's suspicions regarding the school and her sister's friends.
About a 1/3 into the book, everything seemed very obvious, and I couldn't imagine how the story could be drawn out for another 200+ pgs... well, that's because nothing was quite as obvious as it seems. New dimensions are added to the story, and it brings an edge that makes it a great adventure, keeping you on the edge of your seat as you speculate whether good or evil will prevail.
"All The Devils" concludes with a slight cliffhanger, and I'm looking forward to a second book before this one is even officially released.

I want to thank NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I was really excited for this book and the promises of dark academia and dark powers. However, it was disappointing.
First, I didn't grasp straight away that Violet is the older sister. The world building was decent and I could picture the school well, but I didn't like how Andy just decides to move to the school. She doesn't try to make friends with any body or attend any of her classes, but somehow it felt like her alliance with Jae was rushed. She gets threats dI liked the plot idea, but I feel like it has been done before and better. Andy receives threats that feel quite important and could have played a big part in the plot, but these are mentioned once they happen and then never again, literall chucked in the bin. The side characters are almost non-excistent, and I don't get why Andy's roommate keeps trying to help her when Andy treats her like awfully. The book got interesting around the 50-70% mark, but if it wasn't an ARC I probably would have DNFd it before then.
I had really high hopes for this, but it fell short in every way.

This is the first book I have read by Catelyn Wilson and it certainly wont be the last. All the devils draws you into such an immersive world and I think it would be perfect for the ya genre. I rate the book 3 stars because it was a little immature for me but I would have loved this book in an adult setting.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
4 stars book from me. Loved the plot and the stories in this book. Loved every single second reading it.

I received this as an ARC from Netgalley purely on the cover and I am so glad that I read it.
I have felt a bit disappointed with the whole 'dark academia' genre. Whether that was because I picked the wrong books or not I dont know, but they are never dark enough fore me. They just seem to be books with a school setting. Catelyn Wilson redeemed the genre for me with this book. It was dark, atmospheric and had a really relatable and challenged main character.
The settings of the school and the underworld were both rich and tangible. I loved the characters and how complicated and multi faceted they were. I liked the sibling relationship in the book. The 'love' story I could take or leave but it felt real and painful.
This book has made me want to read more by this author and not in the long distant future.

If you liked the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’, or if you’ve secretly craved a darker version of Harry Potter, then this new dark academia novel is for you.
Beginning with a missing body, Andy quickly realises that her sister Violet, who is presumed dead, needs her help.
After gaining access to her sister’s prestigious school she comes face-to-face with the people who may be responsible for her sisters death.
With the help of her school friends Andy must battle evils she never knew were real in order to save her sister.
This is a good novel but it has deep roots in YA fiction, reading age for this one is definitely early teens and it introduces some really good topics for young people to explore such as grief, anxiety, and change.
As a book for me, it’s only 2.5/5 stars, but I can see that it’s not meant for me, and I can really see this being a best seller for younger readers.

Book Review 📚
All The Devils by Catelyn Wilson 🫶🏻
4/5 ⭐
All the Devils had me completely engrossed from the very first page. There are great elements of suspense and psychological drama, which is so intense! Wilson managed to capture my attention from the beginning and was able to draw me into a dark and compelling world where secrets and hidden motivations push the plot forward.
The biggest strength of this book were the character developments. Each and every character you are introduced to holds layers of personality as well as an intriguing back story that gradually reveals through the book. Wilson made it possible for each and every character to have such crucial parts to the story. I never felt that any one of them was pointless to the plot, nor did I feel like there were to many characters to keep up with.
Wilson’s writing style is phenomenal. She was able to capture the mood and atmosphere of each and every scene. The descriptions are vivid and it allowed me to easily visualise the setting and becoming emersed completely in the plot.
I think the All The Devils was a compelling and thought-provoking book that captivated my thoughts and made it pretty hard to put down!
Thank you to NetGalley and publishing company for allowing to read this book in exchange for a honest review.

I struggled to engage with this book and the characters and it took me a really long time to get through for what felt like little payoff.
I felt the main character was pretty one dimensional- wanting to find out what happened to her sister shouldn’t equal an entire personality. She was very single minded and not open to taking advice or a different view. I understand this is a YA book and teenagers are going to make poor choices, but I felt like there wasn’t a lot of growing and changing going on.
There’s definitely an interesting premise here but it just didn’t develop the way it could have.
Unfortunately not for me.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the review copy.

Dark academia and horror elements, absolutely loved the concept. The setting of Ravenswood Academy is dark and moody, definitely could picture this vividly. I most liked the isolated greenhouse! The plot is fantastic, secret societies, a trail left by a dead sister, underworld mysteries and plenty of magic. The academia side of things is lacking a bit as this is just setting of this book, we don’t get much of our FMC actually being involved in any schooling activities. I didn’t mind this though as the plot is great. The characterisation could have been a bit more developed for me personally but I can forgive this due to the great plot. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC. This is a voluntary review of my own thoughts.

I think I just fall slightly outside the target audience for this one. It has a very linear plot and little subplot. It's quite simplified and the characters are deliberately uncomplicated. This can really suit a YA readership but doesn't work for me. Great concept but I didn't love the execution.

The darker parts of dark academia meets myths and magic, this book is amazing and perfect for fans of shows such as the House of Anubis.
When andy tries to find out what truly happened to her sister she accidentally uncovers a dark occult secret society. To save her sister and other innocent girls who have been sacrificed and died at the hands of this group over the decades, its going to take travel to the underworld and facing killers to do whats right.
Overall, i adored this book and with how it ended i truly hope to get a sequel. This is the perfect dark academia with a slightly more morbid and occult twist than others like it.
