What a great read full of twists and turns. Tasha and Alice have grown up together as sisters but have a missing piece in their lives, their sister Holly who was kidnapped when they were little. Alice, a high flyer with a wealthy husband, offers to stay in Tashas house and mind her children while Tasha spends a week in Alices holiday home. But during this week a tragedy occurs which leads to secrets unravelling.
This story was full of twists and turns, new suspects around every corner and plenty of secrets! I really enjoyed it as I have done any of Claire Douglas' books.
Thank you to the publisher, the author and Netgalley for providing me with an advance copy.

Clare Douglas is one of my favourite psychological thriller writers and does not disappoint with this book. As you will know from the description of the story it is basically about 2 sisters, one of whom has children, twins, and needs a break. The other is a glamorous woman with apparently a high flyer of a husband. They even own a flat in Venice, which is where the parent s go for a break. But this is no ordinary holiday for either couple. To find out more you will need to read on. Plenty of twists and suspicions. I would have given this 5 stars, however, I did feel that the ending dragged out a bit too much.

Loved it. Anyone who picks up a Claire Douglas book knows what they’re getting and this didn’t disappoint. You have so many questions throughout and once you think you have it sussed… Douglas throws you a curveball. There were points at which I felt the plot drag but other than that what you’d expect from this genre. Unfortunately nothing too jaw dropping though.

Another great read from Claire Douglas, I liked that it was written from different perspectives - I could see some of the twists coming but that didn’t detract from enjoying the book. I read a lot of this genre so I do like to guess the twists!

"The Wrong Sister" by Claire Douglas is a captivating psychological thriller that expertly weaves themes of family secrets, betrayal, and identity into a suspenseful narrative. The story revolves around two sisters, whose relationship is tested after a tragic event and the resurfacing of long-buried secrets.

Douglas's writing is sharp and engaging, drawing readers into the complex dynamics between the sisters. The characters are well-developed, each carrying their own burdens and motivations, which adds depth to the unfolding mystery. The alternating perspectives create a sense of intrigue, allowing readers to piece together the truth while questioning the reliability of each narrator.

The novel expertly explores the nuances of sibling rivalry and the impact of past choices on present relationships. As the plot twists and turns, Douglas keeps the tension high, making it difficult to put the book down. The pacing is well-balanced, with moments of intense suspense interspersed with quieter, reflective passages that enhance the emotional stakes.

Overall, "The Wrong Sister" is a gripping read that will resonate with fans of psychological thrillers. Claire Douglas has crafted a taut and thought-provoking narrative that raises questions about trust, loyalty, and the lengths one will go to protect those they love. This novel is a must-read for anyone looking for a compelling story filled with unexpected twists and rich character development.

Due to being unwell I was not able to review this book in time for its publication.

Unfortunately, I can’t remember the plot but do know that I enjoyed the book.

What an excellent read, it had me guessing until the end, trying to tie up all the lose ends only to come along further down the road. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the writing, will be reading more from this author.

I love anything written by Claire Douglas.
This twisted tale follows a close knit family with secrets galore. I was guessing throughout who Holly really is, and I was never correct. I loved the little twist and the way the book kinds of ends on a cliffhanger… I can’t wait already what’s in store for us next from Claire.

Another page turner from this author. Set in the beautiful Chew Norton 2 sisters live worlds apart but still remain close. One Tasha married to her childhood sweetheart and Alice the high flying scientist who appears to have everything. Their mom having left for a life in France as soon as their dad died. Never recovering from the disappearance of her youngest child.
Tasha and Aaron try to rekindle their romance with a stay and Venice. Whilst Alice stays with her nieces in their home. When tragedy strikes. The plot is not even worth trying to work out as I can guarantee you would get it wrong. I can see this novel working so well as a drama series as who knows where the story will go and what the answers will be.

As always, I was excited to read the authors next book, I was instantly hooked, this had such a good premise.

I preferred the first half of the book and loved getting to know them characters and learning about Holly.

Whilst it isn’t my favourite book by the author it is still an enjoyable read.

I started this book so many times, but it really didn't grab me. I was disappointed, because I usually very much enjoy Clare Douglas' books. For some reason, in this one, I bounced off it multiple times and wasn't able to get into it at all. Despite a hook that feels like it should have been gripping, I picked up and put this down several times over a period of about a month, but never got past the first few chapters. A DNF for me, sadly.

Starts off good but ends in a disaster, it’s like someone else took over the writing completely?!
I guessed the twist early on.
All the characters were annoying, and their actions were just baffling.
On the plus side it is a fast paced read
