Thoroughly enjoyed this murder mystery/family drama novel. The perfect holiday read. Likeable (mostly) characters. The twists and turns just keep coming right until the very thought provoking end. Thank you to Netgalley for access to the arc

Another brilliant book by this talent
I’ve read, devoured, every book by this writer. I absolutely loved this. It’s got a brilliant cliff hanger type end to every chapter which leaves you wanting to read more. Great but it’s left me sad I’ve finished it! Just bought a copy for my best friend.

Told from the POV of each character, I found the start of the book a little slow but then the twists and turns started to come along and when you thought you’d worked it out, along came another curveball! A good read !

Claire Douglas does it again! This was a fab read.

The Wrong Sister is a gripping psychological thriller packed with family secrets and unexpected twists. The story follows two sisters, Tasha and Alice, who may look alike but lead very different lives. As the truth unravels, it becomes clear that neither sister really knows the other as well as they thought.

If you like psychological thrillers that keep you guessing, this one is worth a read.

Really catches the attention from the beginning with plenty of twists and turns along the way. Clare Douglas captures the sibling rivalry and jealousies well. This makes you wonder, how well do you know your family and how far will you go to protect them? Good read.

Having enjoyed a Claire Douglas psychological thriller before, I knew I was in for a twisty read with The Wrong Sister.

This is definitely a book to devour over a weekend, as it is packed full of clues, mystery, red herrings and differing POVs that lend themselves well to this being read in one or two sittings.

I enjoyed the hugely different lives the two sisters had carved out for themselves following the sadness in their childhood and the 'life swap' was an interesting premise with the mixed feelings of gratitude, appreciation, jealousy and a whiff of showing off.

There's a lovely build up of anticipation and suspense as Alice and Aaron relax in rare and indulgent luxury swanning around Venice like they belong there - meanwhile in their ordinary home Tasha and Kyle are effectively slumming it while they babysit the twins - and things start to go wrong in both settings.

The tension builds and builds from this point onwards and there are plot twists and far out theories to be uncovered. This is a fab little psychological thriller. My thanks to the author, Netgalley and Penguin Random House for an ARC in return for an honest review.

A book that has it all ....... family drama, secrets, murder, kidnap, hidden past and so much more. Another brilliant read from Claire Douglas.

Tasha, married to Aaron, has a part time job at the local dentist and has two adorable primary school aged girls. They live in the rural village where both Tasha and Aaron have always lived and their lives seem to be stuck in a rut. Tasha's career driven sister, Alice, and her husband Kyle offer to swap lives for a few days, they will stay and look after the twins whilst Tasha and Aaron will travel to Italy and stay in Alice and Kyles' apartment.

Whilst in Venice Tasha and Aaron are accosted by a knifeman, but manage to get back to the apartment shaken but unscathed. But the next morning Tasha receives a phone call from home, someone has tried to burgle their home, the twins are unharmed but her sister is injured in hospital and Kyle is dead!!!! Tasha and Aaron travel home on the earliest flight possible and just when Tasha things can't get any worse she received a note stating that it should have been her!!! Who killed Kyle and attached Alice? Did they really mean to harm Tasha? Why?

What follows is a twisty plot with plenty of revelations from the past and present. If you enjoy a good psychological thriller that will keep you guessing then you will definitely enjoy this book. An ending you will probably never guess!! Fans of Claire Douglas will not be disappointed with this latest offering.

Thank you to Netgalley and Michael Joseph for a digital copy of this book.

What a great read full of twists and turns. Tasha and Alice have grown up together as sisters but have a missing piece in their lives, their sister Holly who was kidnapped when they were little. Alice, a high flyer with a wealthy husband, offers to stay in Tashas house and mind her children while Tasha spends a week in Alices holiday home. But during this week a tragedy occurs which leads to secrets unravelling.
This story was full of twists and turns, new suspects around every corner and plenty of secrets! I really enjoyed it as I have done any of Claire Douglas' books.
Thank you to the publisher, the author and Netgalley for providing me with an advance copy.

Clare Douglas is one of my favourite psychological thriller writers and does not disappoint with this book. As you will know from the description of the story it is basically about 2 sisters, one of whom has children, twins, and needs a break. The other is a glamorous woman with apparently a high flyer of a husband. They even own a flat in Venice, which is where the parent s go for a break. But this is no ordinary holiday for either couple. To find out more you will need to read on. Plenty of twists and suspicions. I would have given this 5 stars, however, I did feel that the ending dragged out a bit too much.

Loved it. Anyone who picks up a Claire Douglas book knows what they’re getting and this didn’t disappoint. You have so many questions throughout and once you think you have it sussed… Douglas throws you a curveball. There were points at which I felt the plot drag but other than that what you’d expect from this genre. Unfortunately nothing too jaw dropping though.

Another great read from Claire Douglas, I liked that it was written from different perspectives - I could see some of the twists coming but that didn’t detract from enjoying the book. I read a lot of this genre so I do like to guess the twists!
