i love Claire Douglas and all she writes, A riveting exploration of betrayal, deception, and the ties that bind. This domestic thriller will leave you questioning everything you read and know!

an excellent new novel by Claire Douglas.
It's full of twist and turns and keeps you guessing right to the final page.

The initial anticipation I felt for this book quickly waned as I progressed through its pages. While the premise held promise, the execution fell short, leaving me underwhelmed by the end. The narrative dragged with excessive buildup that ultimately led to minimal payoff. Furthermore, the plot ventured into realms of implausibility, detracting from the overall immersion. Repetitive elements only served to elongate the reading experience without adding significant depth. While some may appreciate the twists and turns, I found them to be more of a distraction than enhancement, seemingly inserted to artificially extend the storyline. While the book may have its admirers, it failed to captivate me as I had hoped.

Claire Douglas has done it again. She has the amazing ability to turn seemingly ordinary people’s lives into something quite extraordinary. With twists aplenty and the need to get to the truth this was an absolute page turner that I devoured within two days. When tired mum of young twins, Tasha is offered a stay in her sister’s luxury apartment in Venice with her husband while her sister Alice cares for the children together with her husband Kyle, it seems too good an opportunity to miss. With a little trepidation at leaving the girls they set off and to begin with their cares are forgotten and they embrace the completely different lifestyle that Alice and Kyle are accustomed to. However, a disturbing encounter followed by the most shocking phone call from home instantly destroys their romantic getaway. Kyle has been murdered and Alice is in hospital. They return home as quickly as possible and are met with a nightmare scenario that impossibly becomes even more terrifying. Who is responsible for this tragedy? As secrets and lies are discovered Tasha finds it difficult to trust anyone but eventually the whole shocking truth is revealed. A brilliant story that you will be unable to put down, told in a fast pace with fear, tension and shocks throughout.

I was lucky enough to receive a proof copy of this book from the wonderful people at Michael J Books
This book was full of misdirection and with a very complex story that kept you guessing pretty much to the end.. Just when you think you know what is going on, Claire drops another little nugget that sends you in a total different direction!
I read this book as a buddy read. It was a very fast-paced book that was impossible to put down. It was full of twists and turns some that we were able to guess and some not!!
A deffo must read if you get the chance!
Thankyou to netgalley and Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House for sending me this book to review!

Wow the wrong sister what a great read, I loved this passion fire twist amazingly well written
Tasha and Alice are sisters one rich one not so as agift to her sister Alice offers a life swap plus she will look after her sisters twins who she adores. So well it's a Mystery Thriller so not all goes to plan o and there's a Mystery sister Holly to add to the mix. So plenty of plot and a well crafted tale with several characters suspects to ponder. But even with so many characters it's not spoilt they all add to the spice which is why I loved this so much
For me it's an easy 5 stars for the reasons please see about above. I hope your as impressed

Absolutely loved this book. I was hooked form the very first page. I really felt as though I was there with Tasha and Alice. Fast paced and gripping from the start

Alice and Tasha are sisters who look very similar and have always had a close bond, especially so since their younger sister was snatched from her pram some years ago. Alice and her husband Kyle own a Venetian apartment and offer Tasha and her husband Aaron a weeks’ holiday there whilst they spend the week at their home, looking after Tasha and Aaron’s twin daughters.
Whilst in Venice, Tasha and Aaron have some frightening encounters with a stranger, but soon have to cut their holiday short as Alice and Kyle have been attacked. What transpires is a compulsive and exciting story with lots of unforeseen twists.
An intense book with a complex but easy to follow plot that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Tasha and Alice are sisters but with lives that are worlds apart. Both are married, which is where their similarities end. Tasha has children and is settled in normal family life while Alice and her husband are both rich and high flyers. For one expected blissful week they exchange lives and Alice and her husband Kyle come to look after the children while Tasha and Aaron enjoy the luxury of their apartment in Venice. But tragedy strikes and Kyle is murdered in a suspected disturbed burglary but a note pushed through the door later has Tasha wondering if she was the intended target and if the disappearance of a third sister years ago who was snatched as a baby has anything to do with it. Lots of twists and turns ensue throughout the story with one last big reveal.at the end. A gripping read!

I always really enjoy Claire books. She really makes you think all the way through the book before hitting you with a great ending and this book is no expecting. Another thoroughly enjoyable, thought provoking book.

What I love about a Claire Douglas book is that it sets you thinking all the way to the end and then “ I didn’t see that coming “ . This is the story of Tasha and her sister Alice, Alice who has a successful career as a scientist and is married to Kyle and Tasha a mum of twins and married to Aaron . Things start to get strange when Tasha and Aaron take up Alice and Kyle’s offer of a trip to Venice to stay in their appartment. Little do the all know that this trip is going to change everything. Loved it 📚
My thanks as always to NetGalley and to publishers Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House, Penguin for the read

A cracking crime mystery, great read.
I read mostly non-fiction; particularly memoirs, but do enjoy a good crime thriller-they have to be believable for me though. This was, and very clever.
Set in Somerset, Chew Valley. Tasha and Aaron have twin girls Elsie and Flossie. The twins are nearly 3. She's never left them even for a night before. Tasha’s sister Alice and her new hubby Kyle are going to look after the kids so Tasha and Aaron can have a relaxing week’s break away in Alice and Kyle’s apartment in Venice.
A day by day account of events, doesn't skip too much from time to time, you know exactly where you are with it..... except you don't, because this clever author keeps you guessing! Tension builds-then she switches to another character's point of view, in a different part of the world, so you're left wondering. And it keeps you interested, and wanting to read. Great detail, of the surroundings and places, and great dialogue moves it along nicely too.
I really like her books, and this one was a great read. Suspenseful, fast-moving, intriguing, with twists and turns.

An intriguing story about the bond between two sisters, a mystery surrounding their missing sister, abducted as a baby, and the relationships with their mother and husbands. I was completely invested in this story from the beginning and was always eager to read the next chapter, sometimes keeping me reading far too late into the night! The story and characters were well written and although I did guess the twist at the end I found it a very enjoyable read.

Really enjoyable thriller, it kept me on my toes throughout! I am not 100% as to what happened with the note but assume Zoe was indeed the one to put it through the door out of spite? Anyway, other than that it was a fantastic read, thank you for the ARC! There was so many storylines and they were kept well and they eventually came to an ending together in a great way!

Absolutely loved this, found it very gripping and fast paced and struggled to put this down.
Plenty of red herrings to keep you guessing, several twists. Which some I guessed, some I didn't. Found it very suspenseful

The Wrong Sister is a psychological thriller that has several suspects and enough red herrings thrown in to keep you guessing until the reveal. The hints were scattered through out the book and I did guess some of the plot, but it is a compelling and well researched novel, and I found myself googling something to see if it was true, and it was!
This book will appeal to readers who like secrets and lies and misdirection.

I read this as part of a buddy read which a fab group of bookstagrammers. I don't think many of us stuck to the reading schedule for this as we raced ahead to find out what happened!
The story starts when two sisters decide to swap lives for a week. Tasha and Aaron are going for a week long getaway at Tasha's sister's luxury apartment in Venice.
Meanwhile Tasha's sister Alice and her husband Kyle are going to look after her young twins in their house near Bristol.
Unexpectedly, Kyle is murdered during the night, however, and Alice is left badly injured in hospital. When Tasha rushes home, she finds a note saying the killer had made a mistake and got the wrong sister!
This was a gripping, easy read which kept me turning the pages. There were some great twists and I don't think I guessed any of them correctly!! I suspected most of the characters as I was reading. I did have to suspend belief slightly at the end but it did reach a satisfying conclusion.
If you like twisty thrillers with a gripping plot and great characters, I would definitely recommend this one.

I love a book where the would be villain gets a POV.
This is the best thriller I have read in a really long time.
There were so many unexpected reveals and twists and it's honestly so unpredictable. If I didn't have to 'adult' I would have read it in one sitting, but I came pretty close.
I loved seeing the different perspectives and the pacing was brilliant.
It was my first by the author and certainly won't be the last.

This is an excellent and fast paced, well written book that had me hooked from the beginning. Tasha and Alice are sisters but live very different lives. Tasha is married to Aaron and has two small daughters, while Alice is a scientist and married to the handsome and charming Kyle. Alice and Kyle are kind enough to loan their flat in Venice to Tasha and Aaron for a week so they can have a holiday and moreover they agree to come and look after the girls for the time as well. What happens to both couples during that week changes their lives forever.
The story is told from the perspectives of Tasha, Alice and their mother Jeanette. All the characters are likeable and I found them all quite distinctive and believable. The writing is slick and brings the reader along with it. The village of Chew Norton where Tasha lives and where most of the story is set, sounds idyllic - despite the dangers the roll about under the surface.
Plenty of red herrings kept my guessing all the way through the story and I didn't get the ending correct until almost the end but I did enjoy it. A very exciting and twisty read.
With thanks to Netgalley and Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House for an early copy in return for an honest review.

A good , easy read page turner. Good twist at the end. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy
