Well written with some genuinely shocking parts.

The plot is well done with many twists and turns but is easy to read and follow which I always feel is the sign of a great writer.

Easy read that will satisfy.

Two sisters that look alike but in reality are very different and live entirely different life's.
One of them is murdered but what if the killer got the wrong one ?
A cracking thriller with more than a few twists along the way that will reel you in and keep you hooked until the end

Not my favourite Claire Douglas novel but still a goodie! Lots of tension, well-paced and a few good twists.

Wow! Talk about tense and fast paced! Claire Douglas is an auto read author for me and The Wrong Sister delivered in every way possible.

I loved the originality of the storyline. Tasha and Aaron are offered a luxury Venetian apartment by Tasha’s wealth sister Alice. Worn out from the grind of daily life and raisin their children, plus issues in their relationship, both jump at the chance to get away.

While away, Tasha gets a call to say theres been tragic break in to their home and Kyle, Alices husband has been killed. Racing back home Tasha finds a note that says “It was meant to be you.” …

Another brilliant and addictive psychological thriller that you won’t be able to put down!

Many thanks to Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House for an early e-arc — I loved it!

I love Claire Douglas' novels and am so happy to day that this new one was no exception! This novel follows two sisters who did have a younger sister but she was abducted as a baby and has never been found. In the present day Tasha and her husband leave their two children with her sister Alice and go off to Venice for a few days. While away someone breaks into their home and kills Alice's husband and leaves Alice badly hurt. We then follow the aftermath as everyone tries to come to terms with it all whilst trying to figure out who could have done this. There are red herrings along the way, which I loved. I did figure out whodunnit for one part of the story but there was still a reveal that I didn't see coming so it still shocked me. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

Tasha and Alice are sisters with very different lives. When Alice stays at Tasha’s and looks after her children the unimaginable happens……then add drama, lose ends, shady characters…..family secrets…..well written gripping with twists and turns and characters I could visualise. An easy great read

The Wrong Sister by Claire Douglas is a story about sisters and family. Tasha has always been in the shadow of her older sister, Alice who went to Oxford and has a high flying career and married to wealthy entrepreneur Kyle. Tasha has left school without any exams and married her childhood sweetheart and they have four year old twin girls and still live in the same suburb in Bristol they have always lived in.
Their mother lives in France, after the death of her husband but even now still grieves for the loss of her third daughter, Holly who was snatched from her pram, when she was only a baby and never seen again.
Alice suggests that Tasha and Aaron go to stay in their Venice apartment for a week and they will stay in their home and look after the twins and they can celebrate their wedding anniversary in another country. On the night of their anniversary and taking a wrong turn, Aaron and Tasha are approached by a man wielding a knife at them, they run away and get back to the apartment unharmed. Later that night they are told that Kyle is dead and Alice is in hospital having been attacked at Tasha and Aaron’s family home.
There are many twists and turns in the storyline and somehow Holly is involved in the plot and reunites with the three remaining female members of the family.
Another psychological thriller by the author with so many twists and unexpected turns, that the reader is enthralled by the storyline.
Highly recommended

Tasha has always felt in the shadow of her older sister, Alice. Their lifestyles couldn't be more different: Alice is married to wealthy entrepreneur Kyle and has a high flying career, Tasha is married to her childhood sweetheart and lives in a suburb of Bristol with their 4 year old twins.

When Alice realises that Taste is struggling - with money, the kids and just generally feeling as though she is losing her identity - she suggests they do a life swap for a week. Alice and Kyle will come to stay at Tasha's terraced house to look after the twins, while Tasha and Harry spend the week in Alice and Kyle's lavish Venice apartment.

But a few days in, it all goes terribly wrong. Tasha receives a phone call to say Alice is in hospital and Kyle is dead after an intruder broke into their house. They think it must have been a burglary gone wrong.

Until a note arrives though the letterbox saying "It was supposed to be you"

Who was there that night and why?
Is it really Tasha that was being targeted?
Can the two sisters find the answers they need, or are they about to stumble upon something more sinister?

Another gripping psychological thriller by Claire Douglas! The Wrong Sister is a true page-turner that had me hooked from the very beginning.

The story was well paced and I found myself completely engrossed trying to piece together the puzzle of what happened. Around the 80% mark, I was convinced I had unravelled the mystery, only to discover that I had been led astray by cleverly placed red herrings! It's a testament to Claire Douglas's skill as a storyteller that she can keep readers guessing until the very end.

There's quite a few characters involved in the story but it never becomes confusing. I did find myself scrutinising each character and suspecting everyone at one point or another. This added to the tension and keep me fully invested in the drama.

I did find some of the plot twists were slightly implausible but I don't mind that so much when I'm reading a thriller. These twists and turns are essential for making a story memorable and unique, and when some characters behaved questionably, it only heightened my suspicions of everyone.

In conclusion, The Wrong Sister is an engrossing read that delivers plenty of twists, turns and suspense. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers that keep you guessing until the very end, then this is definitely a book worth adding to your reading list.

An interesting idea and an easy read, but I didn’t find it as gripping as Claire Douglas’ other books - although I can’t quite put my finger on why!

A good summer read with the usual plot twists to keep the reader engaged

Another good read from Claire Douglas. This kept you guessing until the end, even if somethings were a little predictable there were still twists and turns you didn't see coming.
It was definitely an entertaining read, highly recommend.

You agree to babysit your sister's children, thinking it will be a nice way to spend a few days with them while your sister and her husband have a break. But then, your brother in law is dead, your sister hysterical and a note appears to say whoever did this, attacked the wrong sister.. As Alice lies in intensive care, Tasha cannot think of anyone who would want to do this to her. She has to find out the truth and that means putting herself in great danger.....a rollercoaster of a read. Perfect summer holiday book!

A brilliant, twisty book which I raced through. I didn't guess where this was going at all although at times I had my suspicions. Claire always writes a great twisty novel and this one was up there with the rest. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Not a bad psychological thriller but a little predictable. Clare Douglas's books are better than most but I think that this genre is now over saturated and it's hard to find a unique angle. All of them have the necessary red herrings and twists although this limits the twists to a couple which I'm grateful for. An entertaining read but nothing new.

A tense, gripping and twisty story full of red herrings, misdirection. It's full of suspence since the beginning and it never let you stop being on the edge or turning pages
Well plotted and intriguing story
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

A nice’n easy holiday read! I found it a little implausible at times particularly the conclusion but the pages flowed and I had no problem finishing the tale! Tasha and husband Aaron go off to Venice to stay in her sister’s luxury apartment whilst her big sister and new husband Kyle look after their twin beds daughters. There was a third sister, Holly but she disappeared without trace when she was a baby! Tasha’s house is tragically burgled whilst they are away and the troubled family history slowly begins to unravel! Not one of the best books I have ever read but I enjoyed it!
