Claire Douglas is just brilliant, after reading the couple at no 9 as an arc, I was excited to be approved for the wrong sister.

Brilliantly written, thrilling, I was hooked and had to know what happened. Just 1 more chapter......

Thanks to netgalley for the arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Definitely recommending!!!

I love Claire Douglas and will alsways preorder her books as soon as they are available! And I’m so excited for this first hardback novel! It’s a brilliant twisty tale with plenty of fun plot twists to keep the action fresh and intriguing-in fact I thought the twist here was an incredibly clever one and seamlessly followed the storyline to provide a shocking denouement. Great characters, compelling plot points and an old mystery to solve all came together to prove that Claire Douglas has become one of the UKs best psychological thriller writers. Loved it!

Although a bit bit of slow burner, it is well worth sticking with this book. Beautifully written and truly a masterpiece.

I loved The Couple at No 9, so I was so delighted to be able to read another Claire Douglas book!
It's a gripping thriller with plenty of twists and turns- just when you think you have worked out the ending, you're reminded why you are a reader and not an author and have been expertly outwitted and faced with yet another twist!
I think I liked it even more - great read!!

I started this book, put it down and then decided to pick it back up. It kept me gripped and the twists and turns in the story and 'whodunnit' keeps you guessing to the last and did not see the final twist coming.

Does show how little we know about what goes on behind closed doors!

I've read and enjoyed a number of Ms Douglas' books, and this one was no exception.
As well as the core "whodunnit" there are a number of mysteries to be solved in this story, including the abduction of a baby. As with all her books, the author provides a number of red herrings and always stays one step ahead of this reader. Family dynamics feature heavily and are well written, my only quibble would be that the ending seemed over complex, but it was fun getting there!
Thank you to netgalley and Michael Joseph for an advance copy of this book

Tasha is happily married to her childhood sweetheart Aaron, but feels things have gone a bit stale since their twin girls were born so, when her successful, career driven sister, Alice suggests that she and husband Kyle could come and look after the twins for a week while Tasha and Aaron enjoy a well earned break in Alice and Kyle's Venetian apartment, Tasha jumps at the chance. Just a few days into their holiday she receives a call from home to say Alice and Kyle have been attacked following a break in at their home, Kyle is dead and Alice is in hospital, so they return home immediately. Thinking it was a routine burglary gone wrong they begin to come to terms with what happened, then Tasha receives a note through the letterbox saying ' it was supposed to be you!' She has no idea why someone would target her but the events that follow leave the sisters questioning everything that's happened.

The Wrong Sister is the latest thriller by this author, it's a multi perspective and dual timeline story which hits the ground running from the first page. This story is so well crafted, with complex characters who all seemed to have something to hide, and lots of red herrings thrown into the mix, I really had no clue at all where it was heading, changing my mind countless times as to who was responsible, though I did eventually guess who the perpetrator was further down the line. In true Douglas style this is a fast paced, suspense filled read with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat and flicking the pages of my kindle like there was no tomorrow. As I've said with her previous books, she is an author whose books I don't even read the blurb, because I just know I'm going to love them and once again she smashed this one out of the park!

I'd like to thank Michael Joseph, Penguin Random House and Netgalley for the approval, I will post my review on Amazon and Goodreads.

This was another good read from this author. This is the third book I have read from this author and I can't wait to read more. The twists in this one were fantastic and the suspense was building right from the start. I had no idea where it was going although I did figure out one twist. Well worth your time to read this one! Fantastic! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a brilliant thriller that will have you racing through the pages.
Tasha and Aaron have twin girls and life is hectic. Her sister Alice is a successful scientist and has become very wealthy.
Alice knows that Tasha needs a break and offers them a break in her apartment in Venice to celebrate their anniversary. Her husband Kyle is happy to help Alice look after the twins while Tasha and Aaron are away, so it all seems like a great idea.
Tragedy soon strikes when Alice is woken at night by a noise and Kyle goes to investigate. Tasha rushes back home and is shocked to find out that Kyle has been killed.
The rest of the story is about Alice, Tasha and their Mum trying to work out who the killer was as well as trying to find out what happened to their other sister.
This is a gripping thriller with a few twists and turns in store.
Highly recommended.
Thanks to Michael Joseph and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

Claire Douglas is a new author for me and this is a fantastic book. The relationships between the characters were brilliantly portrayed which meant that twists and turns (of which there were many) were often completely unexpected. Fast paced, suspenseful, compelling and utterly gripping. I loved it.

I love Claire Douglas and The Wrong Sister did not disappoint!

Tasha and Alice, two sisters who like alike but are very different. When Alice gives Tasha and husband Aaron a chance to life swap for a week, in their apartment in Venice, a great chance to reunite their love for each other and have a break from their twins. Alice & her husband Kyle stay in Bristol looking after Alice’s twin nieces.

The break is amazing, but then one morning Aaron gets a call from his mum, there’s been an incident at home, Alice & Kyle have been attacked.

The twists and turns of this story are amazing, you think you have it worked out and then another huge plot twist comes that keeps you totally gripped, highly recommend and also check out others by Claire Douglas - although I think this is her best yet!

This is the first Claire Douglas novel that I have read and it certainly won’t be the last! I’ve heard a lot about this author from friends and I was thrilled to get my hands on The Wrong Sister as an advance copy.

The Wrong Sister is a twisty thriller, full of misdirection, intertwined stories and guessing games.
Tasha and Alice are sisters living very different lives. Tasha and husband Aaron live in Chew Norton with their twin girls, Alice and Kyle live in London, a lavish lifestyle with a holiday villa in Venice.

But there’s a twist, Alice and Tasha also has another sister, Holly, who disappeared without a trace as a baby. Her story comes almost full circle in a shock twist.

I really enjoyed this book, I love working it out and I did get some of the missing links but others surprised me! A great read and lots of red herrings to keep the reader guessing!

The Wrong Sister is yet another brilliant release from Claire Douglas. In this novel, Tasha and her husband Aaron are off to stay in her sister Alice's holiday home in Venice for a short break. Whilst they're away, Alice and her husband Kyle are attacked. As if that isn't awful enough, once they're back home Tasha receives a chilling note telling her 'it should have been you'....!

We get inside the heads of both Alice and Tasha in the aftermath of the attack, as well as their mum Jeanette's, but we mostly stay with Tasha as she grapples with guilt – the attack happened in her house, and perhaps it was even intended for her? – while trying to work out who was behind it all. Shocking family secrets are uncovered along the way!

The twists and surprises keep things intriguing – I love a book that masters misdirection and The Wrong Sister certainly manages that! The ending delivers surprises, while a few threads remain loose, which might not sit well with readers who prefer complete closure. Overall, it's a fast-paced, gripping, and very entertaining read!

A joy of a book that starts slowly with two sisters, Tasha and Alice, Both have ended up with completely different lifestyles. Alice is married to Kyle, well off and have a holiday home in Venice. Tasha is married to Aaron and live with their twin daughters in a small terraced house.

The action really starts with Tash and husband flying to Venice to celebrate an anniversary.. Here they encounter a strange sort of stalker, but little happens in Italy as Tash rushes home as Alice has been attacked, and Kyle is dead. Is this in any way connected to the Venice danger?

From hereon the book introduces more characters as Ms Douglas keeps the twists coming with a dramatic ending!

Apart from any solution to the Italy storyline, the whole book is very enjoyable. The possible third sister scenario also kept me longing to finish the book.
