It’s really good. I wasn’t sure what was happening from the first part but I understand now. From what I got to read as this was just a sampler I need this book right now I need to know what happens! I’m literally dying for me!

As soon as I started reading this book, I was pulled in immediately. I found the plot of the story enticing and gripping. I especially liked the worldbuilding and the evil antagonist, 'The Knight', who grants wishes. But these wishes come with a price that is tainted with evil. So all the people in the kingdom fear The Knight, and only make a deal with him if they are desperate or foolishly think they can best him which succeeds to no avail.

Eve, the heroine of our story, is affected by the Knight in her own way and seeks answers for how to defeat the evil Knight.

I found myself so engrossed in this storyline. I enjoyed the twists and turns. The originality mixed with hints of classic fairytales was a breath of fresh air.

However, there were a couple of elements that made me bring my rating down. The main character, Eve, I found that I wasn't connecting with her and didn't really like her. If her character development had been explored more than I think I could have resonated with her more.

There was also the potential Romance plot. To me, this felt a bit flat, and the chemistry was non-existent. I think if more detail and depth to this had been portrayed, then I would have enjoyed this book more.

Other than that, I really enjoyed the storyline, the worldbuilding, and most of the secondary characters.

A tantalising sneak peek into Bayrobs new book, I adore the writing style and was hooked straight away. Bayron had a way of writing that is almost poetic in description and how the words flow. I can’t wait to find out what happens with Eve and the ‘knight’ and what secrets the queen is keeping

I think Kalynn Bayron's books get better each time. The writing for Sleep Like Death is much more engrossing that Cinderella is Dead (though I did love that one). I'm already hooked on the storyline. I the couple chapters available the characters and back story is set up well. Especially like that there is a Huntress rather than the Huntsman.

This was an engrossing few chapters. I love Kalynn Bayron's writing anyway but I am even more excited to buy this book when it is released after having read this sampler. Their writing has somehow (I didn't think it was possible!) improved even more and is completely enrapturing in my opinion. Thank you for the opportunity to read this sampler.

Such a good and easy read, something to read when you just want to get lost in a different world for a day.

You get invested in the characters within the first chapter and you can’t wait to find out more.

I love Kaylynn Bayron’s fantasy retellings and this opening sampler for Sleep Like Death was so compelling. I loved Princess Eve’s spiky character. The world was rich and the set up of the Knight as the villain very intriguing. I can’t wait to get a complete copy to read.

Just enough to get hooked! the first I have read by the author but I’ve heard great things. Look forward to reading the whole book.

This has me incredibly excited for the full book. It was just enough to get me into the story of the book and crave more.

This is Bayron's return to fantasy and I'm excited to see how she's grown in her style from her debut, as her other novels have been urban fantasy.

I can't wait to see how the book ends.

Eve feels like she's going to be a great protagonist and I cannot wait to see what adventures she has in-store and to see what parts of her story link to Snow White.

I absolutely adored This Poison Heart and This Wicked Fate so when I saw this pop up on my Netgalley shelf I was so excited.

I didn't really gel with this story personally but regardless I can appreciate how well written it is and think a lot of people are going to absolutely love this book!

Very much looking forward to reading the full book when it’s released. I have previously read other books by Bayron and have thoroughly enjoyed them all and the way she creates strong and relatable characters. This sample pulled me in from the first page and I will definitely be buying it when it comes out.
