As if I wasn’t super excited for this already! What an amazing start and it has left me soooo thirsty for more! I need to know who was in that room and I want to know more about this Knight and if and HOW he can be defeated. If he can I feel like it won’t be easy at all. I’m very verrryyy intrigued. I’ve absolutely adored everything I’ve read by Kalynn Bayron so far! Can’t wait!

Even from the first 3 chapters, I can see how action-packed and fast-paced this book will be! I loved the fantasy elements and the lore we have already seen. All the characters are interesting. The writing style is good and the cover is stunning!

There's absolutely no surprise that I love this book already. Everything I've read by Bayron has been absolutely incredible and so far, this book is no different!

I absolutely love the voice and the building of this world. I already love both the protagonist and the antagonist and I absolutely cannot wait to see where this book goes!

A fantastic sampler. I wish it was the whole thing!

The beginning was exciting and intriguing, I love how we were introduced to Eve’s powers — the ability to sense and communicate with animals / sense them AND she summoned lightning and made it in to a weapon?! Epic.

Again, I can’t wait to pick up this book in its entirety to see where it goes. From what I’ve read so far I love it.

From what I read does sounds extremely interesting and the story does seem to grab your attention and the cover is just stunning

Really good sampler that has me really intrigued and excited to read the rest of the book! Great start - with interesting world building and character development. The main protagonist and supporting characters are likable and interesting- can't wait to see how the story plays out and what happens after the cliffhanger at the end of this sampler.

So far, I am finding this more engaging than 'Cinderella is Dead' and would like to see where the start of this novel takes us.

I have to confess that if I'd realised it was only a sample that was on offer, I wouldn't have requested it, but I did and I read it. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Characterwise we have the two Queens Regina and Sanaa, the latter cursed to spend the Rest of her life a nightingale after a wish gone awry, their headstrong daughter Eve, the Huntress and the malignant Knight responsible for the fates of Sanaa and others in the kingdom. Narratively there's little in the sample that suggests this is the Snow White retelling promised by the blurb. Do I want to read more? Yes, and hopefully I'll get the chance to do so.

I am a massive Kalynn Bayron fan so when I saw she was releasing a new retelling I knew I would have to read it and so far these first three chapters haven't disappointed.

I'm really invested in how the story is going to go along with what I can expect to happen. So far I quite like both Eve and her mother but I'm not quite sure about the Huntress. I also quite like the Fantasy world and am intestinal to see how it all pans out.

I will definitely be pre-ordering this and reading once it's released.

I’ve read 3 of Kalynn Bayron books, they’re always fast paced, easy to get lost in & magical! This one was no different.

Although this was a sampler with only 3 chapters I found I just wanted to continue reading so I’m sad I can’t! & also a little bit difficult to give a rating for the book itself however I think this will be a 4 star book for me as I love Snow White & love retellings!

The main character dubbed the knight is giving vibes of Rumplestiltskin & the female main character Eve seems fiercely independent & strong minded!

I can’t wait to see what they get up to! Can’t wait to pick up a copy when it’s released in June!

The magic and use of wishes is interesting and I want to see how it all plays out. Eve seems like a strong-minded, opinionated and captivating main character. I will look forward to the book coming out so I can see how her journey unravels.

this is a retelling of snow White but it feels like so much more, we have a female main character who is fiercely independent and smart and strong supporting characters. the main baddie resembles rumplestiltskin and I love it.

The story starts of a girl called Eve, who strikes us as intelligent, confident and a little too overly confident. As she trains, it becomes clear that she wants to fight the force that is a plague on their land. The enemy, the Knight, is portrayed as a monstrous figure who resembles Rumpelstiltskin in his destructive ways. He strikes deals with the desperate, and these deals have terrible repercussions

I can’t wait to be able to read the full book when it’s released next year. I need to know what happens next.
