🏠 The Dream Home by TM Logan 🏠
Pub Date: 29 Feb 2024
TM Logan is one of my fave authors, I was sooo excited to be approved for this, thank you so much @NetGalley.
I think this book may be his best yet and I have read all his back log! I genuinely could not put it down. Super fast paced and short chapters to keep you gripped. I think this would make a fab TV series. TM Logan has a way of making you suspect every character in the book even when you are really far off the mark. I did not expect that ending and I'm usually pretty good at figuring out "who dunnit".
I am gutted that we will have to wait until 2025 for TM Logan's next book 😢 but I am sure it will be worth the wait.

When Adam and Jess Wylie, along with their three children, move into a grand Victorian villa in an exclusive area of Nottingham it feels as if their dreams have come true. The house is run down and will need a lot of work done on it but they are prepared for the time and effort it will require. What they didn’t bargain on was finding a strange collection of everyday objects in a hidden room, and the nightmare that would follow.
Author T. M. Logan has produced his creepiest, most disturbing novel to date in The Dream House. From the outset, as Adam Wylie discovers a hidden room on moving-in day, you get an unsettling feeling. Within the hidden room is a dresser with locked drawers. Once Adam manages to unlock the drawers and discovers a collection of mundane items questions immediately spring to mind. Why would anyone want to hide these things so well? Who do they belong to?
You begin to get a sense of terror when on the first night in their new home their youngest child wakes screaming, convinced there was a man in her room. From this moment on I wasn’t sure if I was reading a thriller or horror. The situation becomes even more disturbing when they discover a camera lens hidden in a tree, pointing directly at their property.
Adam is determined to solve the mystery of the hidden room and its collection of objects. It is easy to understand his tenacity, or stubbornness, to figure out who is responsible for the nightmare he and his family find themselves in. Even as the menace intensifies, and the police show little interest in the terrifying events the family has had to deal with, Adam is almost alone trying to protect his family. As the search for answers broadens Adam is also doubtful about who he can trust.
The story is so well constructed that I had an inkling pretty early on as to what the story is about but the who, how and why are a complete blank, and there was still plenty of doubt about whether I was right. Twists and turns galore, with the sense of menace never letting up for a moment, meant that I was reading this into the early hours of the morning (not the best time to read such a creepy story). I was desperate for the family to solve the puzzle of the mystery room but could happily have read on for another 200 pages.

Adam and Jess move into a huge, rambling Victorian home with their three kids, ready to put down roots and make memories. But when Adam stumbles upon a secret hidden wardrobe in an upstairs bedroom, everything changes. He finds an odd yet innocuous collection of items, such as a watch, a scarf, and an old mobile phone. His wife brushes it off as just junk to be thrown out, but Adam becomes obsessed with tracking down the former owner and figuring out why these items were hidden away.
Adam's curiosity sets something in motion that he can't take back, and before he knows it, his entire family is in danger. Was this really his dream home, or has it become the place where his life will end?
This author's books never disappoint, and this one was no exception. The level of unease throughout the story was perfectly done, and the ending was a complete surprise. Thank you so much to NetGalley and Bonnier Books/UK for the early copy. This book will publish February 29, 2024.
You know that you’re in for a good read with an author like TM Logan. And he doesn’t disappoint with his latest novel THE DREAM HOME.
Right from the off this story is like a magnetic! Creepy, unsettling and sinister. Logan piles on the pressure as the story develops.
I loved this book and even though it was Christmas, found it incredibly hard to put down… waking early to grab a few more pages before the seasonal chaos resumes!
If you loved LIES and 29 SECONDS I would place this book in the same league. Nothing is clear cut and yet everything feels so natural and exactly how I probably would’ve acted had I been in their situation.
Absolutely brilliant!
Thanks to NetGalley for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and won’t be the last! I loved the setting in this book it was everything a fantastic thriller should be gripping, fast paced, tense and extremely creepy!
There were many red herrings and lots of twists and turns, all the characters were likeable my favourite was Adam as I was rooting for him as I progressed through the chapters hoping that he find the truth.
Overall, a brilliant a brilliant book by a very creative author! I would recommend to read this! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 stars! 😊
This was the best ever book by this wonderful author that I have read as it certainly suprassed the others he has written and I loved them. I cannot give enough praise for this book.
It starts in a simple way with Adam, Jess and the children moving into the Victorian home that looks like their dream home. As they start the unpacking Adam discovers the hidden room and from then on I found it difficult to put the book down as each page seemed to give a further twist to themystery of the objects that Adam found in this room Tthese were bizarre but obviously meant a lot to somebody.
I read to the end at night and kept hearing odd noises that I am sure were not there before, it is a creepy read at night! An amazing story full of fantastic character that were all so real even if not always nice.
Thanks must first go to Netgalley, the publisher and T.M Logan for the ARC copy of ‘The Dream Home’. After seeing the hype on social media for this novel I was so excited get an ARC copy. It didn’t disappoint. This book frustrates me more than most because of the perils faced, but it’s pacey, eerie and revealed well. Highly recommended.
I’ve read a couple of T.M. Logan’s books in the past and was excited to get the chance to read The Dream Home by T.M. Logan.
Adam and Jess move into a lovely new home in one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in Nottingham. Whilst unpacking, Adam discovers a secret room at the top of the house, which houses several odd items including a very old mobile phone. Adam and Jess decide to ring the only number stored on the phone and then strange things begin to happen….
The story moves along from Adam’s point of view. He’s juggling a lot having just moved house, settling in his family, trying to investigate the history of the house and why the items had been left in the house. It’s a real page-turner!
Huge thanks to NetGalley and the publishers Bonnier Books for the e-ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I love this authors books so I couldn’t wait to get stuck into reading this. I was hooked from
The very first page and loved the mystery and intrigue that the story created and how this fast paced thriller developed building up suspense and tension with every turn of the page.
I hope this book is turned into a tv dramatisation in the future.
Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advance copy to read.
Their dream house will become a nightmare . . .
TM Logan is a brilliant psychological thriller author. This book was a quick and easy read,
This story follows Adam and Jess as they embark on a new life in their new dream home. But after discovering a hidden room and a set of drawers filled with random items things maybe aren't as dreamy as they seem.
I did find the first half slightly slow as the scene was being set for the items being found and the backstory.
I think this will appeal to lots of people and be a huge hit when it's released.
Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
Married couple, Adam and Jess, and their children have purchased their dream home. It’s huge in a upmarket part of the city. Whilst unpacking, Adam stumbles across a hidden room on the upper floor of his home. With some really strange items inside. He’s determined to get these items back to their rightful owners. Which maybe one of the worst decisions he’s made.
This author never fails to put out a blinding read. And this one was no different. It’s a complete page turner, full to the brim with tension and creepiness. Every page seems to be full of secrets and mystery. I loved the way it played out. The characters were well written, even if I did spend some time shouting at them for making wrong decisions. Another gripping read from one of the best authors around.
I’ve read all T. M. Logans books and they are all amazing! The Dream Home is a really enjoyable thriller. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t stop reading. The ending was perfect, though I never guessed it. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good exciting read.
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read and share this book.

I know I’m always in for a great read from this author. The plot flowed well and the twists and red herrings had my mind whirling with theories and guesses as the story unraveled. Narrated by Adam who is keeping a secret of his own and with more than one timeline l found the hidden room completely believable but not sure I’d be brave enough to do what he did especially as someone clearly didn’t want the truth to be revealed.
An enjoyable domestic thriller that would make a good tv series.
With thanks to Netgalley,TM Logan and
Bonnier Books UK, Zaffre for my chance to read and review this book.
Another brilliant read from the fabulous author, T M Logan!
The Dream Home is a creepy thriller, with likeable characters, and a fast paced, twisty plot. It tells the story of Adam and Jess who move into their new house with their three children, and begin to uncover secrets that have stayed hidden for decades. This novel, set in Nottingham, had me hooked from the first page and certainly didn’t disappoint all the way through to the end.
I was delighted to be given the opportunity by NetGallery to read this ARC, and I can honestly say that I think this is TM Logan’s best book yet. I shall definitely be recommending this to my family and friends when it is released in 2024!
When you buy an old house, you buy its secrets too…
T.M. Logan's latest psychological thriller captivates from the very first page, weaving a tale of secrets and suspense around an old Victorian house, new family owners and a secret room that has been long-sealed and hidden. Adam, Jess, and their three children move into a family home of their dreams, but Adam’s discovery sets in motion a dangerous chain events as mysteries of the past collide with secrets of the present.
I found the character of Adam to be both a relatable and complex character, whose quest to uncover the truth behind the sealed room and its bizarre contents entirely engaging as he tries to balance the safety of his family and his own curiosities. I am a fan of psychological thrillers and yet the twists and turns in this narrative truly kept me guessing and emotionally invested in the fate of the characters until the very end.
Every book by T.M. Logan is a treat meant to be savored! I loved his newest release, telling the story of a family moving into a seemly perfect house, yet discovering some things are too good to be true in the process.
When Adam, Jess and their children move into a Victorian house in a gated road, they feel they are in their dream home, but when Adam accidentally discovers a secret sealed off room, complete with some very odd objects which he decides to investigate, things go wrong quickly, with threats to him, his family and the house.
This is the best Tim Logan book I have read since 29 Seconds. I felt frightened and confused at who to trust. With the baddy always one step ahead, I felt myself second guessing everything. A scary yet enjoyable read.
This is definitely another big fat 5 star read by T.M Logan.
I really enjoyed this new book. The plot is clever and there’s plenty of twists throughout this book.
I raced through it and it’s certainly in my top 10 books of the year.
As usual Logan has created another winning read. Loved every minute and was late to work because I couldn’t let it go. One of those books that fills you with sadness when it ends, because you want more of the characters
This was enjoyable but not as enjoyable as other books I’ve read by this author. I found the plot about the creepy house to be pretty generic however I did think the ending and main twist was pretty unique.
