Another great book from TM Logan, I couldn't put it down. Kept me guessing right to the very end, highly recommend.
Oh my word!
This book was incredible the plot throughout was gripping and the twists and turns within it had me hooked throughout and I just didn’t see the ending coming.
This was so well written. Already recommended it to my fellow book girls.
I’ve only read one of T.M.Logan’s books before (The Mother) and watched the two TV adaptations of The Catch and The Holiday, which are all quite different, so I went into The Dream Home with an open mind and not sure what to expect. And what I found was…. One of my favourite thrillers I’ve read all year!
There are not many books that keep me completely clueless at every single turn – I genuinely had NO IDEA what was going on. And I loved it! Oh and the atmosphere… it was tense, scary, at times heart-poundingly exciting (especially towards the end!). Just perfect.
The story starts with Adam, Jess and their three children moving into a gorgeous Victorian mansion in Nottingham – they can’t believe they now live in such a beautiful and huge house in such a desirable area. But it needs a lot of work – and Adam has a big secret that is adding to the stress of the project they’ve taken on.
Then Adam makes a discovery – behind some old crumbling fitted wardrobes in one of the attic rooms, is some intriguing wooden panelling with what looks like an entrance way. Opening up the secret door, he finds a hidden room with a small selection of seemingly random old objects which trigger his interest.
So Adam starts investigating. And what he finds is not for the feint-hearted! And he finds himself, and his family, opened up to a dark world of secrets that someone wants to keep buried.
Just *chef’s kiss* brilliant! I hope this one is made into a TV series too, it would be fabulous!
OMG what another fantastic well written thriller by T.M Logan. It had me gripped from the beginning and could not put it down. It was a nail bitting mystery thriller with many twists and turns. I really enjoyed the concept of the story it wasn’t something that is done much which made it all the more gripping.
Adam and Jess move into a new house with their three children. While sorting out boxes Adam discovers a door hidden behind a fitted wardrobe, concealing a secret room . Inside Adam discovers some forgotten items, among them a wallet, an antique watch and an old mobile phone. Jess thinks they should simply throw them away. But Adam resists. He is fascinated by these items and how they came to be inside the hidden room. But like the house, Adam has his secrets too. And soon he will find himself setting in motion a series of events that will place his family in terrible danger .
This was a fantastic thriller with characters you will love. It was so well written with the twists I wasn’t sure how it was going to end and WOW what an ending it was. Fantastic I will be recommending this to everyone. Thanks to netgallery and the publisher for my advanced copy.
Another great thriller by TM Logan! I generally love a creepy mysterious house trope, so I was excited to receive this ARC. And it did not disappoint.
Logan definitely knows how to hook a reader from the beginning and is a master of revealing information little by little. I enjoyed the first half of the book. There was a little dull moment in the middle but once past that the tension got so much that I couldn’t put it down until of course a big twist towards the ending.
Can’t say a lot when it comes to thriller to avoid spoilers, but this is a great thriller by one of the best thriller authors today! Highly recommend it.
I absolutely love it when a new Tim Logan book comes out. This one certainly does not disappoint. It has you gripped from the beginning and has you coming up with many theories.
A family move into their dream home in The Park. Adam soon discovers a hidden room. Inside are some seemingly unimportant items other than a watch. With time on his hands he decides to find out why the previous owner may have gone to such lengths as to hide them. Doing so puts his wife and three children in terrible danger. Why are these items so important and who are they in danger from.
I especially love that this book is set in my home town. It adds to the excitement of the story.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to see an ARc

This is the second book that I've read by T.M. Logan and let me tell you, I was hooked from the very first page.
I really enjoyed the entire concept of this story and how the intrigue and action continued to build with every chapter. Adam was also an interesting and relatable protagonist.
I appreciated the way that each person linked to the seven items found in the dresser had a short chapter to give you an insight into their final moments. That was really well done.
I didn't expect who was eventually revealed as the killer, even if the end did feel a tiny bit rushed for my liking.
But I did like the way that everything came to a head in the very room that Adam had discovered at the beginning.
Jess (Adam's wife) could maybe have used a bit more fleshing out, in terms of her character. But other than that, I really enjoyed this book.
The way that the tension builds, with great pacing, had me racing through this to unravel the mystery.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Awesome.
Adam and Jess move into a new house with their three young children: a rambling Victorian villa right at the very top of their price range. Before long Adam discovers a door hidden behind a fitted wardrobe, concealing a secret room . Inside Adam discovers an array of forgotten items, among them a wallet, an antique watch and an old mobile phone. Jess thinks they should simply throw them away. But Adam resists. He is fascinated by these items and how they came to be inside the hidden room. But like the house, Adam has his secrets too. And soon he will find himself setting in motion a series of events that will place his family in terrible danger .
Thanks to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK, Zaffre for giving me an advance copy.
When terrible things happen to normal people, I think that sums up most @tmloganauthor books, and it's the reason why we love them! #thedreamhome is no exception, but something about this one is extra sinister!
Imagine falling in love, buying, and then moving into your dream home, and then finding a secret hidden room!! That would be amazing, right? Wrong. What new homeowner Adam finds starts off as an exciting discovery and ends in obsession and the lives of his beloved family at risk.
This was my favourite TM Logan so far. It is an intricate and perfectly plotted mystery that really builds up the tension and has some genuinely creepy scenes!
I also have to point out that the family has a cat called Steve. That alone should make this book and automatic 5 ⭐️
Thank you to the lovely people at @zaffrebooks for my copy!
The Dream House is out in February 2024

As usual TM Logan didn’t disappoint. I loved the way he drew us quickly into the characters lives and made us instantly root for them. The multiple timelines worked really well and the twists and turns brilliantly done. I raced through this in 3 days and am still thinking about it now.. Brilliant tightly plotted, thriller with a strong heart and themes of love and loss. Loved it!
When Adam and Jess moved into their new home they had no idea it would turn into a nightmare. Starting from the moment Adam discovered the contents in a secret room upstairs.
This is the third T. M. Logan book that I have read and they are all always interesting stories. It gets straight into it and has you trying to solve the clues along with them trying to figure out who did what. I was wrong all the way through.
I did think it started to lag a little in the middle and a bit drawn out but it just made me more determined to find out what was the story behind Adams findings. I would recommend giving it a read.
I have adored reading all of T.M. Logan’s earlier thrillers as they are so intelligently constructed and believably told, so I could not believe my luck when I was gifted an ARC of ‘The Dream Home’, his latest novel. With this book, Logan continues in fine form. The family at the heart of this domestic thriller are Adam, Jessica and their three young children who are delighted with their purchase of a large Victorian villa for a family home. It is Adam who discovers a secret room full of curios behind a fitted wardrobe that have not seen the light of day for a long time. Adam is intent on discovering the mysteries of their ownership. But it soon turns out (and this is a common Logan trope) that just about every character has secrets that should never see the light of day either and soon, the dream of the rambling family home turns sinister into a rambling horror story for them all …
With believably scripted characters and an extraordinary plot line, this is a novel you will not wish to put down again. Thank you to Zaffre (the publishers) and to NetGalley for the free ARC that I was gifted in return for an honest book review.
Yet again an excellent read by this author. Good gripping plot. Thank you @netgalley for the opportunity to read this excellent book.
This may be the best book I’ve read this year! It kept me totally gripped and I was even reading it sat at my desk at work!! Thank you to NetGalley, author and publisher for the ARC, I would thoroughly recommend!
Adam, Jess and their children move into their dream home in a Victorian home in an affluent part of the city. While refurbishing their new home, Adam finds a hidden room and in this room are an array of random objects. Soon Adam is deep in a rabbit hole, working out the mystery behind these items and the hidden room.
I love T.M. Logan’s books (he is a great storyteller) and this was no exception. What a creepy, intriguing, suspenseful read this was. I am always fascinated by random objects and where they came from or what connects them, so straight away this piqued my interest. In the typical style for this author, the book is fast paced, twisty and well written. I enjoyed figuring out the mystery and my suspect list was constantly changing. I was engaged with the characters and found them all believable. Although I wasn’t completely shocked by the ending, I did think it came together very well. I often recommend this author and will be recommending this thriller as well. I’m just disappointed now that I’ll have to wait ages until the next book! 4.5 stars. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this copy in return for an honest review.
I always enjoy T.M. Logan books and this new one “The Dream Home” is another winner. A domestic thriller that builds the suspense up from the very start making it a very enjoyable read. Adam, Jess, and their three young children move into a grand Victorian villa hoping that they have found their dream home. Little do they know that they are about to start an adventure full of secrets and mysteries.
When Adam discovers an hidden door behind a fitted wardrobe full of artifacts he opens a mystery. In the secret room he discovers a wallet, an antique watch, and an old mobile phone which opens up a mystery of why the room was hidden and why the items were left in the house.
As the story unfolds we discover that Adam is not the only one concealing secrets and his fascination with the items he found set off a series of events that leads to danger.
In typical T.M Logan style the novel is full of suspense and tension as the story unravels revealing secrets and deception. “The Dream Home” is a psychological thriller that had me hooked from the start and wanting to discover what was going to happen.
I would like to thank both Netgalley and Bonnier Books UK for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I've read most of the author's novels and this was definitely my favourite.
Adam and Jess move into their dream home; a huge Victorian house in an upmarket neighbourhood. When Adam discovers a hidden room and a collection of miscellaneous items he sets in motion a series of events that soon places him and his family in danger.
This was an absolutely gripping thriller that I could not put down. The characters are likeable and well drawn, it's well paced, creepy and so cleverly plotted. Highly recommended.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital ARC.

An up all night thriller that has you racing through the pages.
Adam and Jess have found their house of their dreams, a detached Victorian Manor House that has retained its period features, set in a quiet, historical neighbourhood and all the room their growing family could want.
Yes it’s a doaupper, but it is theirs. The forever home they have dreamed of. But sometimes dreams have a way of turning into nightmares and for Adam and Jess moving into 91 Regency Place is about to shatter their dreams.
As the family begin the arduous task of moving in one of the top bedrooms has a rather dilapidated built in wardrobe that presents itself as a hazard to the younger children so Adam soon sets about ripping it out to make the space safe. What he doesn’t expect is to uncover some incredible wooden panels on the wall behind, and he certainly doesn’t expect to find a very well hidden door built into the panels revealing an extra little room.
It is clear that this room has been undisturbed for years. Inside is an old Welsh dresser, an old armchair and a lot of dust. But the doorway isn’t big enough for the unit to fit through, meaning the hidden wall was built after the furniture was in place.
Why would someone go to so much trouble to build and hide this extra room? It’s not on the floor plans for the house so not even the estate agents knew of its existence or the fact the room dimensions were off.
There is nothing Adam loves more than a good mystery, he is the type of person that likes to know how things work and the why of things, so the discovery of a secret room and a set of locked draws is to much for him to leave.
Inside these locked draws are a collection of several random, unrelated items including an old fashioned mobile phone which to his and wife’s surprise still turns on once charge. Not that it contains anything except a picture so blurry on the tiny screen it’s impossible to tell what it is and the only other thing is a phone number.
Not expecting anything to come of it, they phone the number and leave a voicemail but think no more of it.
Except by doing so they have unwittingly set a series of events off that will change their lives and destroy their dreams.
The other objects Adam found locked in the hidden room soon become an obsession to find out why they have been hidden and locked away, but someone out there doesn’t want Adam digging and they want their items back, no matter the cost.…
This book is so incredibly well written that you cannot help but be sucked into Adam’s obsession as well as becoming fully invested in the Wylie family. I especially fell in love with their ginger cat Steve! I’m a sucker for ginger cats, especially naughty ones!
Full of mystery, intrigue and fast paced, this is definitely a book that keeps you reading well past bedtime.
This book has everything, brilliantly brought to life characters, details that make the story clear images in your head, an intriguing mystery that you need to see solved, where everyone is a suspect so you can’t trust anyone and a plot twist that the best armchair sleuths won’t guess, this book has it all.
If like me this is your first step into his books you are in for a real treat and this definitely won’t be the last book of his I read. If you are already a fan of his work then you will absolutely devour this book. It is definitely a must read!
A massive thank you to the author T.M. Logan, publishers Bonnier Books UK and NetGalley for my digital arc of this fantastic book in exchange for an honest and independent review.
Another brilliant, twisty read from TM Logan.
Adam and Jess have bought their forever home for their family in a prestigious part of town. It’s the perfect place to bring up their three children, as well as home their dog and cat. They move in, ready to begin the next chapter of their lives when Adam finds a hidden room upstairs and makes a huge, terrible mistake.
This book kept me guessing throughout. A lot of characters could have been involved in nefarious activities which had me on my toes!
If you haven’t read any of Tim’s books yet, give them a go. And if you have, you will love this one.
Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read and review.
You know you're always onto a winner with T. M Logan. His books keep you reading non-stop and this was no exception. Full of tension and mystery, with likeable characters and a plot that makes it hard to put the book down. I totally did not see that ending coming!
A thoroughly enjoyable thriller, I'd definitely recommend it.
