This book is a perfect example of why I love T.M Logans books so much!

Well paced, tense and wonderfully unnerving, its the perfect example of a domestic thriller!

A stroke of magic means you instantly gel with the characters, they feel real and you are absolutely invested. This just adds to that atmosphere, as you are willing a good outcome.

As always, I know I'm about to be put through my paces, well developed plots, absorbing characters and plenty of twists and turns menus for me this was absolutely perfect!

It’s Everything they Ever Wanted

Adam and Jess buy the perfect house for their family, when they start renovating they discover a hidden room in the attic and a dresser that contains a collection of items. It’s made clear that someone wants the items back and will stop at nothing to retrieve them.

I was very excited when I got approved for this by @netgalley as I’ve read all this authors work. Whilst I did enjoy the book for me it didn’t have the wow factor as some of his others.

T m Logan always writes great thrillers that really grip you. I always like the fact that it is told from the male point of view which you don't see very often. Which helps the book stand out. This was another well written book. With lots of twist and turns and a great ending.

Like a few other books I've read written by T.M.Logan this is told predominantly from the POV of Adam.  It makes a really nice change to read from a mans point of view, and right from page one, I was sucked into his story, the short chapters making it easy to keep turning the pages, however it didn't take long for me to realise that I found Adam to be quite an annoying character with his constant need to find answers.
In saying that, the theories and ideas were soon running through my head as I started to build a picture of where this was going.
As much as Adam frustrated me, I felt really tense as things spiralled out of control for him, and what was great about this book is that you could never be quite sure who to trust, and my theories were proved wrong on several occasions.
The first half of this book is very much a slow burn, but as I hit the halfway mark, the pace ramped up more and I struggled to put it down. I definitely felt creeped out in parts.  For me however, the pace felt up and down throughout the second half of the book, one minute I was hooked and turning the pages, the next I felt it was starting to drag, then I'd be hooked again.
That last 10% though 🤯 I had my hand covering the bottom of the page as I didn't trust my eyes not to flick down to the bottom and ruin it for myself.
As always, Logan has delivered a great book, and while not my favourite it is brilliantly written.  Personally, my preference as a reader is not to have the main character 'turn detective' which is what perhaps let this one down for me.  There was also, one aspect of the story line that I wasn't fully on board with, and if it it been slightly 🤏 shorter it could have been a 4 star read for me, but unfortunately, due to those little points I give this 3.5⭐️

Adam, Jess, their three kids and various pets move into a large Victorian house in a fairly exclusive part of town. During the exploration of their new home, Adam finds a secret room. Curious.

Inside this small space he finds a set of drawers, within them is a selection of seemingly random objects - including a Rolex watch, a wallet, and old pair of glasses. Curiouser and curiouser.

Much like the proverbial cat, Adam soon realises that his inquisitiveness comes at a cost. Unwittingly setting off a chain of events that place him, and his family, in real danger.

Brilliant!

I loved the setting: A rambling Victorian villa. We live in a 19th century Victorian property (not the size of this one!) and have often imagined what the house has seen in its 130 years.

This was so gripping. I found my eyes involuntarily darting down the page to see what was coming! I had my suspicions about the items early on. You’ll be pleased to hear (and not remotely shocked!) I was wrong.

The plotting was complex and expertly revealed - great pacing, and enough breadcrumbs (and red herrings) scattered to keep me turning the pages long after I should have been asleep! *umm, what was that creaking downstairs?!*

If you’re looking for an addictive thriller with wonderfully written and relatable characters, and twists galore, I’d highly recommend checking this book out!

Adam, Jess and family move to a victorian villa which seems quite a nice place in a lovely neighbourhood. Adam finds a secret room and becomes fascinated with the random objects left there. A thrilling read with twists and turns, full of tension and quite addictive

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed TM Logan's previous seven books the chance to be an ARC was to good an opportunity not to take up. I was not disappointed another tale of high energy action that keeps the reader gripped until the end.

I do love it when a book not only lives up to my expectations but also exceeds them. Or, as in this case, smashes them out of the park. And that initial bar is set quite high, as I have enjoyed every of his previous seven books.
So... back to this book. We follow Adam and Jess as they, and their children, have just moved into their Dream Home. It's a rambling Victorian villa which they have had to stretch themselves to (only just) afford. As they are unpacking, Adam realises that there is something a bit off with the dimensions of one of the rooms and is delighted to find a door hidden behind a fitted wardrobe, leading to a secret room.
In it he finds an old dresser with multiple drawers. He gets them open and, in each one, there is an eclectic mix of items, ranging from an old phone, a wallet, a watch, and a scarf. Adam becomes obsessed with them and, indeed, their origin. Jess notsomuch. Although she is intrigued by the phone, which only has one number stored... What harm could it be to just give it a call...?
What harm indeed... and I am going to leave you to discover the rest as the author intends...
If you have read this author before, you'll know what you are letting yourself in for. If not then you are in for a treat and I'll be very surprised if you don't then add all his back catalogue to your tbr afterwards.
It's tense and the intrigue is high all the way through. Pacing is perfect and matches the narrative all the way through. You do have to hold on to a bit of confusion occasionally but that only adds to the cloying sense of paranoia that the author weaves in. Characterisation is excellent and they all play their parts with aplomb.
And the ending, when it came, completely floored me. And I eat sleep breathe this genre of book so...
All in all, another winner from one of my favourite go-to authors. Roll on next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

I’ve read and enjoyed TM Logan’s previous novels, all psychological thrillers with interesting twists so I was delighted to receive “The Dream Home” as a review copy.
When Adam, Jess and their three children move into their new house they are very excited. It’s much bigger than their old home and in a lovely part of town.
Whilst exploring the new house Adam comes across a hidden annexe containing some extremely random items. Trying to trace the owner of these things using an old mobile, found with the other objects, Adam and Jess couple soon realise they have inserted themselves into a very dangerous situation.
Adam is a lover of puzzles and will not give up on trying to work out what has happened and where the items come from. However he also has some major secrets of his own.
I really loved this creepy thriller, particularly as I was not sure what was going to happen- the author certainly kept me guessing, inserting some very interesting twists that meant I found it nigh on impossible to solve the mystery.
I found it interesting to think that when a house is sold , anything that is left behind by the previous owners would become the property of the new inhabitants- or does it? I’m not really sure but it made a great premise for a novel.
I really liked Adam- he was an ordinary man, trying to do his best for his family, despite his heavy load of secrets.
“The Dream Home”is a compelling and exciting read which I thoroughly recommend. If you’ve read other books by this author you’ll know what to expect and if you haven’t you’ve got a real treat in store.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for my advance copy.

I just love TM Logan's thrillers and this one was no exception. It's amazing how this writer can get the tension building right from the start and throughout. The main characters always feel so real and easy to connect with. I just couldn't see where this story was leading which I love. Another one to put on your TBR and 4 stars from me for a fantastic read ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy

I like T. M. Logan books so was delighted to receive an advance copy of The Dream Home, publishing on 29th February. Thanks to Bonnier Books UK and NetGalley for my copy.

Adam and Jess have just moved to their dream home with their three children. A large Victorian house it’s in need of work, but they’re looking forward to the project. When Adam finds a secret room with seemingly random items hidden there he tries to find out more about them and wants to return them to whoever they belong to. Little does he know the danger he’ll bring to him and his family. His youngest daughter is scared at night, saying there’s a man in her room. They hear noises that sound like someone in the house and find hidden cameras. Who’s watching them and why?

This book definitely kept me reading as I wanted to find out what was going on. I spent most of the book a bit confused as to who would be so determined to get the items back and possibly kill in the process. I liked Adam, Jess and their family but I was more suspicious of the other characters and I think I suspected them all! I didn’t guess the culprit and was quite surprised. At times I did wonder if it was a bit far fetched but overall I liked the story and would recommend it.

Adam and Jess are moving into their new home with their three children. They fell in love with the house at first sight, though they were stretching their finances to buy it and knew the house needed a considerable amount of work to bring it back to its former glory.

91 Regency Place is supposed to be the families dream home, but Adam soon finds the house has hidden secrets. On discovering a concealed room, Adam finds the contents of the room even more curious. Random items secreted in a dresser include a dog collar, a Rolex watch and an old mobile phone. Adam and Jess are eager to find out the reason for this strange bunch of items being hidden away, and the meaning behind them. Adam takes it upon himself to head an investigation but he has his own huge secret, one which puts his family’s security in jeopardy.

Adam is very inquisitive and enquiries soon ruffle feathers and the plot thickens and twists, seeing the family and their dream home in grave danger.

I found this book a little difficult to get into, which wasn’t helped by the change in characters I found hard to fit into the overall plot. About half-way through, the story seemed to grow in pace and gather an element of creepiness, and I was intrigued to find out how it would end.

Some things are certainties in life, and one of those certainties is that I’m always going to enjoy a T.M. Logan book! I’ve now read book number 8 of his 8 books and The Dream Home was the tense and fast-paced domestic thriller I was hoping it would be 👏🏻

We are introduced to Adam, his wife Jess and their three children as they move into an enormous fixer-upper in one of the most exclusive estates in Nottingham. While carrying out some home improvements, Adam unwittingly stumbles across a hidden room which houses a number of strange and seemingly unrelated items…

I’ve always found this author’s writing so easy to absorb, it just flows perfectly and has the knack of making me want to keep reading to see what will happen next. I was intrigued in The Dream Home from the very start, and as Adam uncovers more questions than answers to begin with, I felt like I couldn’t possibly stop reading because I just had to know what on earth was going on. I did question some of Adam’s decisions and was dubious about a couple of the paths he took, although lord only knows what I would do in his shoes so maybe I shouldn’t judge too harshly!

With a combination of mounting suspense, creeping unease and disturbing discoveries, T.M. Logan has delivered yet another addictive and thrilling read.

Thank you to Bonnier Books & Netgalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love a book that gets straight into the action and so when Adam and Jess buy their dream home, a beautiful Victorian villa style property in need of renovation, we quickly get into the nitty gritty of the secret hidden room that Adam discovers hidden behind a wardrobe.

Inside the room is a Rolex watch, an old mobile phone that contains one phone number and one photo, and some other random items.

Jess dismisses them as junk, but then Adam discovers hidden cameras in and around the house and someone starts sending anonymous text messages.

This was a really well written, fast-paced and gripping thriller. The characters were well developed and the watertight plot and red herrings kept me guessing right up the tense ending.

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, T. M. Logan and Bonnier for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I have a newly discovered love for T.M Logan, no one writes a thriller like he does. I thought his previous book 'The Mother' would be difficult to beat but this is great; numerous twists and turns that kept me guessing right to the very end. Can't wait for the next book in 2025!

I was so pleased to receive a copy of this latest TM Logan book, I have enjoyed all of his books so far and this was no exception.
A new house should have been the beginnings of a new start in their Dream Home but when Adam starts digging around, finding a secret room behind a fitted wardrobe that holds it's own secrets things all start to go wrong. Who is behind putting the unusual collection behind this secert door.
As Adam digs deeper, he gets himself and his family into more danger. Plenty of twists to keep you guessing to the end.

Thank you to Bonnie Books UK,Zaffre Netgalley and the author for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Another fab book by one of my favourite authors TM Logan. Adam moves into his dream home with his wife and two children, whilst unpacking, he comes across a hidden room behind a wardrobe. He doesn’t remember seeing this on the house plan and the estate agent didn’t mention anything. Inside this hidden room, Adam comes across some unusual items, things you wouldn’t expect someone to leave behind. He has so many questions and in answering these questions, he puts his family in danger. What secrets are lurking behind this hidden door?

While this was more an author pick, since the synopsis didn't intrigue me. This ended up captivating me from the beginning.
I'm glad I gave this a chance.
I found myself unable to put this down. Trying to connect the multiple things happening to the house.
While somethings were probably unrealistic it didn't take anything away from my enjoyment of the book.
