This was an amazing read! I could not put it down for a second! Book two blew me away even more so than book 1. Hot, steamy Cane! Suzanne really knows how to draw her readers into a world of story telling as I felt like I was there. I was not able to for one second predict what was going to happen next. The author kept me on the edge of my seat. I have so many questions for book 3!! What will happen next?!

Wynter is by far my favorite character Suzanne has written to date. She has so much mystery and backstory to her. Still so many secrets we still have to uncover in book 3. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

I haven’t read anything by this author before, including the previous book in the series. I didn’t realise it was a sequel, however it was easy enough to grasp what had happened in the previous book and pick up from there.

The good: I enjoyed the premise, the character types aren’t typical for a dark romantasy, and the world building was done well enough that I was satisified as the story deepened and certain revelations were made.

The bad: some of the characters felt a little flat. Wynter feels very young and naive for her position and experience, and while there was a good portion of smut in the book on her part she felt like a bit of a star fish. Hattie’s characters obsession felt a little cliched and immaturely written. The ending was also quite abrupt, and felt like it was missing an in part resolution to the book.

I finished it, and it was lightly enjoyable, but I wouldn’t deliberately seek out any further in the series.

I loved it I was a little scared that It would end on a cliffhanger of them in mid battle or that it would have the other ancients giving in but was pleasantly surprised with the introduction of new family members and of cain finally telling certain things to wynter.
I loved this book can't wait for the next one and I loved how much closer Cain and wynter have grown

The Nightmare in Him is the brilliant follow up to The Wicked in Me and what a rollercoaster of a ride it is. With such a well crafted storyline and characters that are so well developed this series is going from strength to strength.
The Aeons and the Ancients continue to detest each other, the Aeons determined to wipe their foe off the face of the earth. Wynter the witch continues her relationship with the immortal Cain which is becoming deeper and deeper. Cain now realising he cannot live without Wynter in his life is determined to do all he can to keep her but is afraid that the secrets he has about his true entity will make Wynter reject him.
Wynter is no swooning maiden but a tough cookie and knows she loves Cain and will stand by him whatever.
As both sides fight for supremacy the excitement and tension mounts, with humour, secrecy and violence there is a lot of action here.
A story brilliantly told that holds your attention throughout and has you invested in the outcomes. I await the next in the series desperately wanting it to continue.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

Brilliant sequel to The Wicked in Me!

Full of funny moments from Wynter's crazy coven, whom I love so freaking much.

The relationship between Wynter and Cain is electric and I already need more. With more secrets being revealed and their relationship evolving its an incredible read.

The Aeons and Ancients war is hyping up and I cant wait for more from it - will Cain's monster take form?! Buzzing!!

Thank you to Netgalley for gifting this book to me.

Can I start of by saying I absolutely just love suzanne wright's books, I'm genuinely never disappointed. This book carries on from where we left from the 'The wicked in me' Wynter and Cain trying to figure out ways to protect Wynter and everyone around her whilst also trying to build on from their relationship. We get to see their love for each other grow so much in this book and Cain is even more protective in this then the last.

We finally get find out who Cain is and let me just say It was such a good surprise, Cain is just soo protective of Wynter but he also allows her to be who she is. I love how both Wynter and Cain just embrace who eachother are and don't allow anyone to get into the middle of their relationship.

Now moving on I think Wynters friends might be my favourite crew out of all of Suzanne Wright's books and that's hard to say because I absolutely love the Dark in me series and all those characters but just the way they fight for eachother and will go to the death for Wynter is so amazing. I would be so happy if we got a book for these characters as well, I think Hattie deserves to have a husband that lasts.

I can't wait to see what more holds for this group of people and can't wait to see what lies for Wynter and Cain, I just hope the third book comes out soon because I need it now.

Wow just wow!! I am soooo happy I got to read this as an arc, when I read wicked in me I was captivated by the darkness, desire and ruthlessness of the characters and plot! The nightmare in him was no different, it was amazing to indulge in the character dynamics new and old.

The story picks up with our lovers Cain and Wynter who are recovering and strategising after their last battle with the aeons. The ancients are preparing for the next attack so they can finally escape their jailors once and for all. This book also brings us new characters which hold potential for betrayal or alliances which had me on edge of what outcome we might get.

Again I’m so happy I got to read this, its fun and spicy with an amazing plot that is perfect to indulge in. This is a book of revenge and desire like no other!

Thank you Little, Brown Book Group for gifting me this book!

Loved it! It definitely was worth the wait. It was fantastic to be back with Wynter, Cain and the Bloodrose Coven. They really are a dynamically dysfunctional family and it’s totally awesome. We get more answers in this book about Cain and his past, and let me say, I did not see it coming. Cain and Wynter’s relationship has progressed beautifully and their love and mutual respect for each grows on every page.

There is tons of action, humor, shock, and betrayal in this one. I couldn’t put it down. From start to finish I was hooked. Another awesome book by Suzanne Wright! Can’t wait for the next one.

Another fantastic book by Suzanne Wright! I was kindly gifted this book by Netgalley and was thrilled to be chosen to review it as I’m a long time Suzanne Wright fan. It definitely lived up to the hype and was a great follow up book to the first book in the series The Wicked in Me. I’m a big fan of the characters and laughed out loud several times. Can’t wait for the next instalment!

Obsessed with Wynter and Cain's continuation!

This book was perfectly paced with a ton of action, we of course finally get to uncover some secrets regarding the Ancients and the Aeons. Secrets that Wynter takes in stride, like she does life in general.
Love Wynter and Cain's relationship and how well they suit each other.
The book definitely had some surprises and twists.
I'm already craving the next book from Suzanne even though I just finished reading this one.

I love the world building of this series, Suzanne always does such an amazing job at creating unique, can't stop reading and well developed stories.
