This story revolves around Liam and December, but there are many others included as this about the pack. Liam is somewhat dumb about how to treat his mate, and December his mate is sometimes amazingly stupid. Sorry to be harsh but geez. Yes, it is easy to judge as its not my life. Overall I found this to just be okay. I didn't love the characters. I think I may be more engaged with the next book as I imagine its about Kat and Jayce. For me, this is a 3 star.

It's not that I didn't like this one. But I liked the first book and the novella more. This one felt like it was full of filler and too many elongated words that could have been italicized. Plus it took half the book before Liam asked December about herself. I didn't not like them, but they weren't my favorite couple in the series.

This is the 2nd book in the Moon Shifter Series. I thoroughly enjoy reading this book.

Primal possession is a werewolf romance with a fated mate's trope. It follows Liam and December perspectives. December owns and runs her own bookshop and I love that having bookish themes and content in books with also the small town vibes makes the setting as intimate, cozy and close community. I also love the werewolves, pack mentality and fated mates. It's one of my favorite sub genres. The writing style in this book was not for me. I did find it very plain, I wanted more descriptions, details, and back story. So I felt a real lack of connection with the characters, the story and the relationship development between Liam and December. There was a lot of repetitiveness happening too in this book, especially surrounding December. Overall, this book was not for me, missing some key elements I look for and did not leave a real impact on me.

Primal Possession is Book 2 in the Moon Shifter series and is just as exciting as the first book!

Liam Armstrong is the brother of Connor Armstrong, Alpha of the Armstrong-Cordona pack. In Alpha Instinct, Liam meets his mate, December. She’s a beautiful and curvy red-head that owns the local bookstore and sister to Parker, the local sheriff… and 100% human. There are so many red flags here. This whole thing is a disaster waiting to happen. However… never underestimate the power of a stubborn shifter who’s scented its mate.

December is definitely skittish after she finds out the hunky Scotsman patronizing her bookstore is a shifter, and a wolf at that. But there’s something about him that calls to her. When December falls victim to some wack job hate group, Liam’s protective instincts kick into overdrive. There’s no way December can escape Liam’s presence or his devastating brown eyes with danger lurking at her doorstep. Will Liam wear December down and get her to accept his claim or will she hit the road for good, breaking her heart (and his) in the process?

I really enjoyed the story. I think Liam and December paired well together. I love that she doesn’t let Liam railroad her with his possessiveness. She’s a strong alpha in her own right and the perfect match for Liam.

I also enjoyed the secondary storylines where we get some backstory of some of the packmates and townsfolk. They are equally as exciting!

I can’t wait to read more from the Moon Shifter universe!

Another great read, they never get old. This is Liam and Decembers story. Read it!

Primal Possession by Katie Reus is book two in the Moon Shifter Series. This is the story of Liam and December. Liam knows that December is his mate. December doesn't want to become involved with a shifter due to the one she had dated killer her brother. Enjoyed this book.

I’m glad I received this book to read! I didn’t read the first book in the series, so I was a bit behind on some stuff, but it didn’t really affect my understanding of the story at all. I was just mildly confused at first because we jumped right into Liam and December’s story, but the author uses multiple POVs, so that makes sense. I really enjoyed their story, but it did feel a bit rushed to me. December went from “no way” to all in really quickly. I’m eager to read the next book in the series!

Primal Possession is the second book in the Moon Shifter series by Reus and the second edition and authors preferred text. I didn't know that when I got this ARC so when the book opens and just seemed to jump into a situation where the main characters had already known each other and I knew something was up. I didn't mind not knowing the backstory and this one kept me on my toes with many different characters POV's during the book. This was fast paced with the same radical group against the paranormal from the first book in the series trying to get the FMC and provoke the MMC. 3.5 stars

Liam and December's story is an absolutely wonderful story. Love this series and author. I loved everything about this book. The characters are great, and the action/suspense is perfect. I cannot wait for the rest of this series to come out.

Liam has found his mate but December won't accept him because her younger brother was killed because she was involved with a shifter. Now her older brother who is a sheriff will not accept her having a shifter as a mate. So December has been keeping Liam at arms length even though she's wildly attracted to him. She doesn't want to lose her brother because of a relationship with Liam.

It takes December a long time to explain to Liam why she feels she can't be with him and I think she should have been more up front with him about her feelings.

While they are fighting their feelings for one another the APL ( Anti-Paranormal League) who are humans out to destroy Liam's pack and all the humans involved with any of them are causing a lot of problems and putting everyone in danger.

The APL were really bad news and some of those people were worst than others which made the danger they were in that much worse.

There was a secondary romance between Kat and Jayce as well that I really liked. I plan on getting the next book so I can read their story too.

I am totally enjoying this Moon Shifter series and it makes it even better by being written by Katie Reus. It was amazing to have a main character who was obsessed with his mate who wanted nothing to do with him. Liam had to fight for her which had me hooked. It had me addicted to see how he would wear her down to want to be with him was something I just something I needed to know and picture in my mind. Decembers tragic past and that Liam is overprotective and loyal is a benefit to him. The storyline is addicting, and the characters are great. I can say yet again Katie Reus has written an addicting book.

This is an intense but great story. The world building is absolutely stunning. I love all the intricacies that you find out throughout the story. The characters are very solid, grounded, and relatable. The plot was nail biting. It was a fast a dirty ride and I was there for every second. I loved this book and this world. I will be staying tuned for more.

Oops, I dove into this series at book 2 instead of book 1. That being said, I don’t think it was too hard to catch up with all the previously introduced characters here.

We join December, an independent woman who owns her own book store and is determined not to get involved with a shifter, no matter how much he persists. Liam is not being too pushy (I don’t think) but he is definitely making it very clear that he wants to be with December, overbearing cop brother or not. What pushes them to take the leap? Well, there’s this anti-shifter group who will go to any length to make sure shifters don’t get accepted as “normal.” This leads them to attack December and her friend, leading to even more angry shifter males.

The romance here was pretty solid, and, yes, so was the smut. There’s clearly history I wasn’t aware of, but they do a good job catching you up along the way. The side story is about December’s friend and her shifter ex dancing around one another. Fair warning- this story does get pretty dark as far as kidnapping and torture, so if that type of thing bothers you, you’ll be skimming or avoiding certain chapters. I found this book to be a good blend of action and romance/smut.

This is the story of Liam Armstrong, alpha warrior shifter, who has found his mate in a human who lives in town and also happens to be the sheriff’s sister, December. After December is targeted by a local hate group Liam has vowed to do anything to keep her safe including moving in with her. As the attacks escalate, December starts to trust Liam and let her guard down which includes finally telling him why she resisted his advances.

What I Loved:
- The mating bond, I just laugh so hard when Liam's "wolf" can't handle itself around other males and anything/anyone who even thinks or looks at December and how it also impacts December
- New characters, I love how this world is vast and can introduce new characters who add elements to the story that the main pack don’t. In this story we meet the enforcer, the fae and a few new humans
- Hero, I love that even though December knows she needs the protection of the pack she can also be a hero in her own regard
- Relationship, Liam and December’s relationship is different and there are times I want to shake Liam to get his head out of his ass but in the end I’m happy where they end up and hope we can continue to get glimpses of them throughout the series.

Overall this was a great addition to an already good romantic suspense series. It has all the best elements with unique shifters, small town drama, mating bonds that cause havoc and a slow burn romance that I couldn't get enough of. If you are in the market for a shifter romance with unique paranormal elements, great characters, suspense and an overarching big bad then I would absolutely recommend this book.

Primal possession

This is a PNR with all of the aspects I enjoy about a book by Katie Reus. The female main character December is a human. The male main character Liam is a shifter. Liam recognizes that December is his mate the first time he meets her, but he avoids her to keep her safe. Once he realizes that December is in danger regardless, he makes his feelings known.

December has befriended shifters in the past and lost her younger brother because of a shifter. Her older brother the sheriff is protective.

They both struggle with their relationship because of who each person is, past events, and current attacks.
I liked the back and forth and the touch of angst. I liked the family dynamics for both characters.
I was very mad at Liam’s character for his idiotic behavior towards December. I would have liked more grovel.

Overall I enjoyed the book and immediately started the next in the series.
