I really loved the back and forth in this book! The relationship between the two characters was funny and bubbly, and left me wanting more.

After her own wedding was ruined after discovering her fiance cheating on her, Andi has always been anti weddings. When her best friend gets engaged, Andi does her best to stay positive. When the best man, Owen, turns out to be just as against weddings as herself, Andi is thrilled to find herself an ally. But neither can resist the sparks between them and soon the two find that love might be possible after all.

I was slightly scared to give this one a go after reading all the Goodreads reviews but I'm pleased to say I actually quite enjoyed it. Yes, the main character was selfish but I liked that she wasn't perfect. The ending was sweet and Owen was a fab male lead.

A cute book with excellent bisexual representation!

Two people who famously hate weddings, Andi and Owen, are pushed together to be in the wedding party of their best friends. Overall, it fell a little flat for me. I wasn't compelled to keep reading as much as I would have liked. When you make a character prickly, they have to have some redeeming qualities, and Andi wasn't that for me. Owen was great, but I wasn't convinced.

I did love the Italian setting, thought!

If you're in the mood for a light, beachy read with a dash of romance and Italian charm, The (Anti) Wedding Party by Lucy Knott might be your pick. It follows Andi, who’s been burned by love and is reluctantly pulled into a wedding in Italy, where she’s paired with a fellow wedding skeptic. Their banter and chemistry add some fun twists to the story, even if it drags a bit. The Italian setting is a highlight, making it a great escape. Overall, it’s a sweet, if slightly uneven, rom-com.

A great fun book with plenty of romance thrown in. I love the characters and the way they deal with the disasters that keep befalling them and of course who wouldn't love the Italian wedding setting. Perfect beach read

I really enjoy books about food and I loved reading about Italy!! The very first chapter hooks you in (my mouth actually dropped open) and each chapter after wants you to keep reading.

I loved the main characters and Andi's friendships! Also her mum is so sweet.

The romance was fun but I did feel like the book was overall a bit too long. It could have wrapped up a bit earlier

I absolutely loved this book. I could feel myself in Italy with the great description. I adored the characters and I didn't want the book to end it was so good!

The (Anti) Wedding Party sounds and looks like THE perfect rom-com book but sadly this was a DNF. I tried to pick this up several times but always got so put off by the main character that I just don't think I will be able to enjoy it based on that. To me there's a big difference between an unlikeable main character and an annoying one and while I can enjoy books with unlikeable main characters, this was not that.

The Anti Wedding Party by Lucy Knott was a nice read. I enjoyed the characters and the setting.

Well, this book started off with a bang, quite literally! Andi is about to marry the love of her life. She is already stressed about all of the details of the wedding, but manages to take a deep breath before the ceremony. Right before everything was about to start, she made a pitstop to the restroom where her life takes a drastic turn....she catches her fiancee cheating with the maid of honor. Crushed, Andi flees the venue and completely writes off love and marriage. She throws herself into work at the fish and chips shop she owns with her mom. Time passes, and her best friend announces she is getting married on the Almafi coast. Andi, of course, is expected to be the maid of honor. She begrudgingly agrees, and she and her mom close the shop for the week to enjoy the wedding festivities.

Once in Italy, Andi is paired with the best man, who also has written off love and marriage. They are a match made in anti-wedding heaven. While they don't intentionally set out to sabotage the wedding, a series of unfortunate events begin to unfold. Some are comical, and some are raw and emotional. As each misstep happens, Andi and Owen become closer and closer, both not admitting what they are truly feeling, How could they though when she lives so far away from him and has to focus on business. Both have to work on themselves in order to work on being together, but will it be enough and not too late?

I absolutely ADORED the setting of this book. I am enamored with Italy and the Almafi Coast. The way Lucy Knott described everything from the scenery to the food made me feel like I was there (and man oh man did the food sound amazing). I liked the character progression of both Andi and Owen. The supporting "cast" was also very useful in bringing these to where they needed to be at the end. While multiple families were entangled in this journey, it really seemed like one huge, supportive unit. The sense of family was apparent throughout. I wish there was slightly more background into Andi's relationship with her fiancee (both before and immediately after). I think I would've had even more of an emotional connection to her. I also wish that there was more background given on Owen's past. There were a couple of vague calls where his brother was calling to check on him, but overall not much was revealed. Overall, this was a super cute romcom.

The writing of this is….not great. It was really disjointed and lacked structure. I skimmed to finish and don’t feel like I missed much.

This was a cute romantic comedy novel involving two characters who have been hurt by love in the past. Forced proximity, a grumpy-sunshine/enemies-to-lovers trope.

I did find that the main protagonist was a character that I couldn't connect with. She was ignorant and a few events in the novel made me dislike her. The plot was good, but on the slower side of things. Concept was definitely there, but I don't think it was executed properly.

Overall, a 3-star read for me unfortunately. There were definitely aspects of the book that I enjoyed, but overall, it wasn't for me.

I was immediately drawn in with the cover - it is wedding season after all! Andi and Owen are averse to weddings, but can't avoid being the maid of honor/best man in their best friends' wedding. They get up to lots of shenanigans throughout and it was fun to see them come together in the end! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

When Andi finds her fiancé screwing her maid of honour right before they’re about to walk down the aisle, that’s it for love and romance for her. She’s not interesting in finding someone else or ever even contemplating marriage again.

So when her best friend gets engaged and plans the perfect wedding in Italy, as her maid of honour, there’s nothing she can do but go along with it. And when the wedding hating best man just happens to begin to melt the ice around Andi’s heart, can she possibly see a future with someone else?

It took me a while to get around to this one, but I really enjoyed the concept. I thought the time frame for the wedding was a bit rushed and maybe that could have been drawn out a bit more to build more of the story. But overall it was a good novel!

Thank you for my earc of this book. Though I liked the premise, this didn’t deliver and I found the characters very difficult to enjoy so I DNF

It was just way too slow and boring for me. I was looking forward to reading it but even the writing style didn’t mesh with me; I thought it was flat and hard to read.

Closed door romance, with a very much ‘me me me’ main character. which also fell a bit flat for me.
but the story wasn’t a bad one. i enjoyed it for the most part!

This one fell a bit flat for me. The female main character was too self centered, too “me, me, me” and made it a struggle to finish the book. There also wasn’t believable chemistry between the two main characters. I really wish that there had just been a few personality changes with the female main character and I think that would’ve made all the difference in the world with this book.

The (Anti) Wedding Party was my first read from Lucy Knott, very light and easy to read, likeable characters and a dreamy setting!
