Stupendous finale to a huge ongoing fantasy saga. It take real skill to keep such a huge intricate fantasy world feeling fresh and immersive through so many books but Wurts does so with aplomb. Highly recommend this entire series

Nothing short of a perfect finale to a series I love dearly. There's really only this and Malazan for me, as far as mind-altering, intimidatingly large worlds, the finest character work, and flying in the face of what all other fantasy ends up being.
Do yourself the favour and start this series if you haven't already. In many ways, it's a crossover between Tolkien and Erikson, but that's just me being reductive for the sake of ease and lack of words for Wurts' god-like writing.

I have been waiting for this for so long and it has been totally worth it. I cannot wait to re-read this series!
