A spellbinding tincture of magic and mayhem from the Fab Four of the Moonlight Magic Club!
When Pandora needs to earn her Performance Badge by singing at a home for the elderly, she is worried that her voice isn't good enough. She makes a potion to give it a popstar quality to rival even her idols, the singers of Little Ghost, the favourite band of the four friends.
When the potion brings more than Pandora had bargained for, she relies on the help of her 3 friends, Foxglove, Mya and newbie witch, Scarlett, to help her to get things back to normal. And when normal involves flying around on a grandfather clock because 'broomsticks are very wobbly', that gives you an idea of how abnormal things actually become!
This lovely story for children age 7-9 has some empowering messages for our little ones. It has a focus on friendship, self-belief, unity and community spirit. With all of that going for it, what is not to like?!
Thank you to NetGalley and Arcturus for sending this eBook for review consideration. All opinions are our own.
I thought this is going to be a little bit more fun the more it was but it was cold. It was interesting. It was poppy was peppy and it was actually a really good book generally for middle grade. I will definitely read more from this author going forward as I have your book in the series, but I think the books go straight in and I don’t introduce the characters, the lifestyle or anything along those lines, but I think it’s really cool fun interesting book and I would 100% read more from this series of this author in future.
This is a super cute audiobook! A story that will be sure to capture the imagination of young girls up to pre-teen. Featuring witches, magic, stage fright, contests and all sorts of fun shenanigans, the story is bang on trend for this genre. It is bound to be a hit for car journeys and, gratifyingly, it is a pleasant enough listen for grown-ups too!
The book is narrated in a pleasant English accent, the narrator capturing the story beautifully with her lyrical tones!
This is part of a series and my family and I will be sure to be back for more!
My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this audiobook in exchange for an advance copy.
Thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the enchanting world of Moonlight Magic Club: Pandora Popstar Potion. The journey of the girls earning magic badges, coupled with the camaraderie of the gang, made for an exciting and heartwarming read. This lovely book beautifully captures the essence of friendship and the joy of performing kind acts to help others.

Moonlight Magic Club - Pandora's Popstar Potion

This is the second book in the Moonlight Magic Club series and I read it straight after reading book 1 - Scarlett And The Secret Spellbook.
I loved book 1 and couldn't wait to dive straight into this second adventure for the young witches of the Moonlight Valley.
It was great being back with the girls so soon after meeting them all in the last book and here we focus a bit more on Pandora, which was lovely getting to know her a little better.
I love the idea that the junior witches have to practise their spells etc and be able to pass badges before they're allowed to use the spell properly.
These badges also have an element of doing something good for others to them, which is a lovely thing to instill in our little ones.
This is so reminiscent of my time in the brownies and also mimics so many other activities that my kids went to when they were smaller - swimming and gym etc.
Pandora is preparing for her performance badge - she's going to sing for the retired witches care home, but she very nervous and gets in a bit of a mess when she sneakily casts a spell to help her be a better singer and not get so scared.
The storyline is great as it helps others understand that everyone gets nervous sometimes and the way round it is with a little help and support from your friends (and not casting sneaky spells that you haven't passed the badge for yet!)
Again, I loved the writing style which was just so captivating and immersive.
The girls are just adorable and eventually learn their lessons - but their friendship is great and it's nice to see a group supporting each other.
I'm excited to see what's in store for the girls and us in the third and fourth books - out in Feb - so I just need to be a little bit patient .....
💕Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for my ARC copy - this is my honest review 💕
