This one just didn't work for me. I couldn't get into the writing or the characters. Somehow it was missing the familiar thriller tone that initially drew me in, based on the book's description.

Ben and Boris are attorneys who go to New Orleans after Katrina to help with the messed up legal system there. Author Joshua Perry does an excellent job of detailing all of the problems they face as well as the general state of affairs in New Orleans. That part of the story I liked, but I have to admit that the "Seraphim" part left me cold.
