Thank you to NetGalley, Kodansha Comics, and Hiro Mashima for the opportunity to read this manga in exchange for an honest review.

I have been a long-time Mashima dan, halving read all of Rave Master as well as having watched all of (and own all of) the Fairy Tail anime, though I never read the manga. This first volume is a fun and flavorful intro to the series with excellent artwork, fun characters, and a vibrant, exciting story full of adventure. I love the facial expressions of which Mashima uses on the characters. It really adds an aspect of humor that makes this such an enjoyable read.

Fairy Tail is perfect for fantasy lovers and fans of Dungeons & Dragons. With its magical wizard guilds, team missions, and dragons (of which have mysteriously disappeared), this manga makes for an excellent tale of magic, adventure, and even mystery. Fairy Tail should be considered a modern classic!

I was given this book through NetGalley to be able to review it ahead of its release on December 5th. My understanding, from my fiance, is that this is a good anime, but I haven’t yet watched it. The manga is good enough to definitely make me want to. I really enjoyed the characters, the wild and out of control way they handle themselves, and who could forget the flying cat? I only got to see the first one but I am certain the other two would be amazing as well. If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to watch the anime now.

Fairy Tail Omnibus is a collection of the first 3 stunning Fairy Tail volumes. I love this manga so much! It follows Lucy, and young woman who holes power over celestial beings using key magic, and Natsu, a man with fire/dragon powers. The first 3 volumes tell the story of how they meet, how Lucy ends up in the Fairy Tail guild due to her friendship with Natsu, and their first few adventures together.

I was happy to be able to reread the beginning of this amazing manga. It is magical, has some awesome battles, and is great for teens plus. The related anime is amazing as well! I'd tell anyone who is a first time manga reader to give this one a try because its got action, adventure, magic, and a dash of romance.

Thank you so much to netgalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review!

I am a HUGE fan of Fairy Tail. I have watched the anime but never got around to reading the manga, this omnibus is awesome!

I really enjoy the start of the series set up and getting to meet the characters and their different magical abilities! Happy is my favorite companion of any manga series I've read so far! The illustrations are stunning. The action is well done and I love the comical relief through the 3 volumes.

A really easy, fun read! Fairy Tail is super famous and I've always wanted to see what it's like but never quite found the time (long-running series can be intimidating to start), so I'm very pleased to see it's actually very charming! I can see why it's so popular.

The art is well-drawn and the panels are very easy to navigate. I laughed out loud at a lot of the more comedic, exaggerated expressions, and I especially appreciate that Lucy had just as many silly slapstick moments as Natsu did- sometimes, in manga aimed primarily at boys, it feels like the male characters are allowed to be expressive and funny and the women are mostly just there to be pretty, so it was nice to see a change from that. And the comedic timing was great!

I only read the first volume so I didn't get to see much of the worldbuilding, but the bits I saw were pretty interesting and I'm curious about the history of wizards and how various forms of magic came about.

Overall, I really enjoyed this and I'd be up for reading volumes after this if I ever get the opportunity!
