This book was excellent and revived my faith in thrillers again because it was different than all the others.
Narration for this was amazing as well and made the story fly by.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for this early release in return for my honest review.

Aw, a book review where I absolutely cannot share why I loved this book, because it will spoil it for you. Lovely.
I've read Rona Halsall before and she knows her craft, psychological thrillers. This one, to me, was less psychological and more domestic, but well done nevertheless.
The premise is a wife/stepmom, who joins her already vacationing family in the woods only to arrive to discover an empty house. Through past and present, and multiple characters, the story unfolds. I literally cannot say anything about the plot without spoiling it, so I'll just say, I didn't see it coming. Well done Ms. Halsall.
