This was so cute!! We've got an obsessed with food (and monsters) main character and her love interest, a duke with a killer reputation. Together they are a blushing pair of weirdos, and I ate it up.

I loved all of the characters, the plot is fun, and the art is well done. I wish the second volume was translated and already out so I could binge read the series.

If you are a fan of fantasy, romance, cooking, and a MMC who would do probably anything for the heroine- I would recommend this for you! Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for providing the ARC of this volume!

"Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! vol. 1" was such a fun read!

"The Voracious Villainess" and "The Blood-Mad Duke" are a match made in monster heaven. Melphiera loves to eat monster meat but is looked down upon by doing so. Duke Galbraith loves to hunt and cut down monsters just as much. I love that through their first meeting they had chemistry. It was actually love at first sight!

Thank you Netgalley and Kodansha Comics for allowing me to read and review this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I wasn't sure what to think when I first saw this manga but I'm so glad I jumped right in and I really liked it!

Melphiera has a secret: she likes to cook and eat monster meat. When her step-mother gives her a time frame to get married and pushes Melphiera to go to a banquet to meet single men, she worries her reputation for eating monster meat will hurt her chances of meeting anyone. Suddenly a monster attacks during the event and she is saved by the "Blood Mad Duke" Gilbraith, who has a reputation of his own. In the presence of the Duke she tries to hide her excitement but the Duke is intrigued by her interests in monster meat, and monsters in general, and asks her if she could cook it for him too.

I went into the volume blind and I'm happy I did. Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! is a cozy fantasy with monsters, food, and a blooming romance. They do move quickly into an engagement phase but there seems to be a bigger plot coming up in volume two. Melpheria's mother is not in the picture but it seems like Mel's monster habits stemmed from her mother. The Duke is sweet, and endearing. I like how he is interested in what she has to say and wants to learn more about what she loves to do.

I'm very interested in continuing the series and seeing where Melpheria's story goes.

This manga was so adorable! It's a cozy fantasy romance that comes across as so charming. Melphie and the Duke are sweet characters that are misunderstood by the wider populace but find a home in each other. It's a lovely depiction of finding others who love you with all your weirdness and not in spite of your quirks. I didn't think I'd love a story so focused on meat and monsters, but man, I sure do!

This fantasy romance series features a female lead with a strange hobby and a male lead who finds her fascinating for it. MC Melphiera is widely known as the voracious villainess, due to her hobby of preparing and eating monster meat. Her stepmother, however, gives her an ultimatum to get engaged, so off she goes to a party, only to meet Duke Gilbraith, widely known as the mad duke, who saves her from a rampaging monster and soon falls in love with Mel's quirky charms and enthusiasm. I do think things moved rather quickly from there, with the two making moves to get engaged within like three chapters, but there's a wider plot here that's only really hinted at that seems interesting. Mel has a reason for her hobby, and it seems like a serious one wrapped up in the work of her deceased mother. I like the characters, the tone is overall humorous, making it a fun read, and the fl and ml play off each other well. I do appreciate Gilbraith not being another cold, standoffish ml, he's rather open and free with his emotions and affections right off the bat. I really enjoyed this volume, and can't wait to read more of the series.

This manga is so cute! I expected it to be similar to Delicious in Dungeon, but aside from turning monsters into gourmet meals, the stories are not the same in the slightest. The "Voracious Villainess" and the "Blood Mad Duke" are both black sheep in noble society. But after meeting at a garden party turned disaster, they find common ground and start to fall for one another. Their chemistry is immediately evident, and it's honestly so fun to see them slowly relax and be more candid with one another. The female main character, Melphiera, is more than a simple noble woman obsessed with eating monster meat. She's honestly more akin to a culinary researcher with a focus on all food monster related! However, her topic of research is considered very gross by the rest of the noble society, which is how she ends up being shunned and labeled a villainess. The end of the volume ends on a small cliffhanger, and makes me very eager to read the second volume!

A cute shojo fantasy manga about a young noblewoman who, to the disgust of others, enjoys eating monster meat. Her parents want her to settle down and get married but due to her bad reputation is having great difficulty in finding a suitor. At a matchmaking event she is attacked by a monster and saved by the “Blood-Mad Duke.” The two hit it off and the Duke promises to visit her in her distant home with a monster gift.

This book is compared to "Delicious in Dungeon" and "Drifting Dragons" but the only similarity between the three is that monsters are eaten and enjoyed. This story currently lacks the depth that the other two have, which is greatly disappointing because I love them immensely. Still, it has some charm and I'm interested in more of Melphiera, the main character's, backstory.

'Pass the Monster Meat, Milady!' is a charming new romantasy series that stars Melphiera, a "voracious" young lady well-known for her hobby of transforming monster meat into delicious delicacies, and the fearless "Blood-mad Duke" of Galbraith, who is instantly charmed by her curious antics.

This was such a cute start to the series! Going into it I'd assumed it would be rather comedic, with the female lead villainized as someone who consumes intoxicated monster meat - but that was far from the truth! Although there's definitely humorous banter between the characters, the heart of the story is definitely the blossoming romance between Melphiera and the enamoured Duke, Aristide. I adore them~ 🥹💗

I'm curious to continue the series and find out more about Melphiera's research into monster meat and her mysterious mother's laboratory! The only thing I have to add though is that the beasts/monsters are all illustrated so beautifully! I kind of feel a little bad that they're going to be eaten..

If you're looking for a new fantasy romance series with stunning artwork then check this out!

I did not expect anything of this. But of my gosh it's so cute! I'm obsessed, the same obsession I get with many fantasy manhwas. The art is beautiful, and the monsters are HUGE.

I love love love this story line. Two nobles who try their best to help the land with its monster problem, but the fellow nobility misunderstand them and belittle them. But they find eachother and fall in love with their first conversation about their odd hobbies. A hunter and a researcher who not only studies monsters, but eats them.

Surprisingly they are adorable. The sweetest Most understanding romance I've read about in a fantasy manga. I read through this volume so fast, I couldn't put it down. So invested in this silly, fascinating, and adorable romance I need the next volume now!

With the title being what it is, I expected this to be another comedic food manga, but it was actually so cute!! It did have its comedic moments, but I fell in love with our two main characters instantly.

Pass the Monster Meat, Milady centers on Melphiera, the "voracious villainess," who eats monster meat, which society deems unsavory. While at a social event, she deals with the task of finding someone to marry while she is outcast from those in her social class. When a monster attacks, she is saved by Duke Gilbraith.

Both Melphiera and Duke Gilbraith are considered odd and outcasts, but when they meet by chance, they find that they understand each other in a way no one else does. I'm excited to keep reading this series and see how far it goes into those feelings of being misunderstood and how it will hopefully strengthen their relationship.

If you love a cooking/food romance then this one is for you! The art style is cute and the fmc loves eating monsters that have toxicants and poisons and is fascinated by the different types of monsters. While the Duke, the mc, he hunts monsters and is interested in trying this monster dish. The chemistry is kind of insta love vibes but definitely a fast cute read!

For Melphiera, there's little she finds more fascinating than food, especially how monsters can be transformed into delicacies. Unfortunately, she's the only who thinks so...for now, at least. She's shunned in society as the "voracious villainess" for her tastes, and her stepmother has given her an ultimatum to get married within the year or be sent to a cloister. Luckily, at the last social event of the season, she has a run in with a monster and a duke who seems just as interested in how the monsters he hunts can be utilized as she is.

Melphie and Duke Gilbraith are cute and so far, the story is predictable - two misfits misunderstood by society find kindred souls in each other and give each other confidence. The artwork is lush and suited for the fantasy setting, and Melphie's monstrous meals is an interesting twist. Their engagement was fairly rushed, as was the Duke's sudden proclamation of feelings, and I wish we'd gotten more of a hint as to why Melphiera is so obsessed with food and her experiments, but what we got was engaging enough for me to eagerly look forward to the next volume.

It’s quirky and cute. I’m not sure there is much beyond that but when you want a cosy read then this should be ideal. You have two people with reputations, both much more than those. The artwork is nice and I can see me reading the next instalments.
