Having read a number of comics from Europe Comics’ catalogue, I’ve come to expect stories which are a little different than many comics. They are about people and their lives. Here we travel with Charlie, for an adventure he wasn’t expecting. I wasn’t expecting the middle or the end that was revealed as I read. But the whole experience was enjoyable. Thank you to Europe Comics and NetGalley for the comic ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

A wonderful graphic novel about what happens to our souls after we die. In this world people's bodies are recycled after they passed. Charlie works in the call center where people call in to arrange their loved one's remains. One day he gets a call with the question, "Where is my mother's soul?" Perturbed by the question, he makes it his mission to find out.

I really enjoyed this story and the author's take on the afterlife. I also found the illustrations to be quite lovely.

When I started this graphic novel I didn't expect to end up crying at 10 in the morning, what a beautiful story. Charlie works at a “recycling” center for the remains of the dead, until one day a different case arrives and he begins to question where the souls of the dead go and this leads him on a whole adventure that would revel many life changing secrets.
It is a beautiful story, with even more beautiful drawings, a lot of drama and unexpected twists, I fully recommend it.

I received this graphic novel from Netgalley/the publisher in exchange of an honest review.

DANG, I am crying, I hadn't expected this one to get so emotional, that I would get so invested in the story. What started as a quite dystopian read in which humans are recycled at a recycle center (you can have a tree or something else made with your loved ones (and no, no bags or such) and their souls go to be reincarnated (animal or human depending on where they end up) to a world with strange rules and strange clocks that ordain what you have to do, to a story about reincarnation, to finding your loved ones, to reuniting, to much more, which I definitely hadn't expected, but I loved every moment, it made me cry so much. It was a ride, I can tell you that. It was a beautiful, at times confusing, ride. There is so much story packed in this one and I loved seeing each new layer to it. Charlie was a fantastic character. The art was fantastic. I do have a question regarding the end, but given spoilers I will just leave it. I would recommend this one to all.

What a gorgeous graphic novel!!

I volunteered to review this in English but realised quickly that this was originally written in French (my native language ) It’s a pity to read it in English but it will give me an excuse to buy it in French later on

The art was GORGEOUS!!! I love the delicate style and the subtle use of colours, plus the change towards the end… The story was lovely (even if sad at times) and really unexpected. I highly recommend it!

Thank you for the ARC!

This isn't what I expected at all. It surprised me in the nicest way. It is not one for kids or even teenagers. But it is one of the most touching love stories I have ever read. If you are an old soul like me, you will probably bawl your eyes out like I did as I read it.

*Thanks to NetGalley for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review *

I loved this so much. I decided to read it solely based on the cover, didn’t even read the synopsis. I was therefore really surprised to discover that this book had such a deep and meaningful story.

What happens to souls when someone dies? This is the question that KT tries to answer through Charlie and his job. I deeply connected with the idea of reincarnation and souls finding each other life after life.

The stunning drawings and delicate coloring give this book something extra. I couldn’t recommend it more.
